We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert made us feel so welcome, which was much appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was just right, with loads of nice walks nearby and exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages was a real treat. We definitely felt refreshed after a week of relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Would happily return!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly but not overbearing, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around safely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed a BBQ one evening and the hot tub was fantastic! Definitely planning to come back and have already told friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!

We really enjoyed our visit! The grounds were lovely and walking the dogs through the fields was perfect.

Honestly, I don’t get why there's an extra charge for our two tiny dogs. They’re cleaner than some kids I know! We always bring our cordless vacuum along and I honestly challenge anyone to find even a trace of dog hair. It’s pretty impressive, really.

The caravan needed cleaning. There was stain on the sofas and carpet needed wash and cleaning. But the bedding and toilets and kitchen was clean.

We had an amazing stay! The house was super well equipped and cosy, perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was just fantastic and the shower was great too. Being near the flight path didn’t bother us at all, honestly! Perfect spot for dogs scared of fireworks since it’s so remote. Beautifully converted and really comfortable. Thanks so much for a lovely break!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and honestly, the owners Rob and Sharon have done a fantastic job transforming this historic building with such care. They gave us a really warm welcome, which made us feel right at home, plus Bonnie was lovely! The place has everything you need for a chilled-out stay. The location is brilliant, right in the heart of Essex and we loved wandering around Thaxted and the nearby villages to soak up the history and beautiful architecture. Definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and welcoming. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn't want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and furnished nicely. We enjoyed exploring the numerous walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Honestly, we’d happily recommend it!

The place itself is charming, with that classic half-timbered look and the shower was surprisingly powerful-much appreciated! The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like a home away from home. Parking right outside was super convenient and the nearby walks to Thaxted are simply beautiful. We’d definitely come back!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place was perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. Our dogs adored the underfloor heating and the garden was a hit - Luna was wagging her tail non-stop, she was so happy! Honestly, we’ll be coming back for sure. It was a great trip all around!

Excellent value for money when compared to similar type parks. First on site restaurant at this type of park that we all had no qualms about going back to.

Beautiful site in a good location, close to Weymouth where there is plenty to do and a large sandy beach. Children's entertainment was fun and the facilities were kept clean and tidy, the staff friendly. The soft play wasn't very big but it suited my 3 year old granddaughter and the pool didn't get too busy. Although Chesil beach is pebbles it was still fun to climb over and the Chesil Centre was interesting. The caravan was immaculate and it was extremely pleasant to be able to sit on the decking overlooking the Chesil fleet and Portland. There were plenty of places to visit and also a small sandy cove nearby if we didn't want to go into Weymouth.
