We loved the stunning views from the woodland cottage, it’s really peaceful. The facilities were good, though we missed having a full-length mirror in the three-bed. No coat hooks by the door, but everyone was super helpful. Debbie's massage at Clowance Spa was fantastic!

We loved the lodge! Plenty of room for the family and it had everything we needed for a chilled-out holiday. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed the stay

We really enjoyed our stay! The grounds were stunning and there was plenty to do. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious too.

The cabin was really cosy and spotless. Loved the big decking at the front, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the lovely views of trees and fields. We had a great stay!

The lodge was really comfy and surprisingly spacious for a quick getaway. It was spotless and well-equipped, though the kitchen looked a bit tired with peeling cupboard doors. Still, a lovely spot!

The place was super clean and looked really modern, which we appreciated. The design was pretty clever overall. Upstairs sockets weren’t working, but the lights were, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Downstairs heater had a fault, though. Hope the deposit comes back soon!

Upstairs room is comfy but honestly a bit of a pain to use day-to-day. Overall, though, the site and place are really good!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. The house was better than we expected and we’d definitely come back in summer. That said, a few things could be improved. The TV was an old analogue model, so it wasn’t much use for streaming or modern channels. The sofa was quite worn and low, so I mostly ended up sitting on the dining chairs or my bed. The master suite was pretty dark, especially around the dressing table, so better lighting would make a big difference. Also, there were no charging sockets near the bed - only two in the room, both connected to the TV and its box, which meant unplugging things if you wanted to charge your phone. Small issues, but they’d make the stay even better!

We had an amazing stay at Clowance! The lodges are stunning, very cosy and super clean, with all the latest gadgets. The grounds are so peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We didn’t try the spa or restaurant, but they looked lovely. We’ll definitely be coming back and already told family about it!

Great little lodge, mostly clean but could use some sprucing up.

The place was stunning, honestly. Only thing was the beds-they're quite low, which was a bit tricky at first. Once we were in, it was all good, just a bit of a struggle to get out!

We had an awesome stay at this lodge! The place had this lovely rustic charm, with exposed wooden beams giving it character. The kitchen was super functional - everything we needed was right there, making cooking a breeze. The whole place was spotless and well looked after. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy, with decent-sized beds that meant we all got a good night’s sleep. But honestly, the best part was the view from the living room. Those huge windows let in loads of light and showcased a stunning backdrop of towering, ancient trees. It felt like staying on a private estate, so peaceful and beautifully kept. We spent mornings outside on the decking, just chilling with drinks, soaking up the scenery. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway - we can’t wait to come back!

Great spot with a lovely vibe! The courts could do with a refresh, but perfect for casual playing and relaxing.

We had such a lovely stay, honestly couldn’t find any faults with the resort. The extra facilities like tennis, swimming and the gym were great. Lakeview Spa number 5 was breathtaking, with a gorgeous view of the lake right outside. We’ll definitely be back when we visit Cornwall!

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but the lodge totally blew me away! The space was fantastic-so much room to relax. The bed was comfy and it was well-equipped. Definitely converting from caravans to lodges after this trip. Lovely experience!

We had a fantastic stay at this lodge! The place was spotless-probably the cleanest we've ever experienced-and the lodge itself was fully equipped and comfortable. The outdoor seating area and hot tub felt br and new and were kept pristine. We appreciated how well we were kept informed about check-in procedures and when the lodge was ready, which made everything smooth. Housekeeping was really helpful with a missing item issue, resolving it quickly. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the whole site feels very cared for. A little tip-if you fancy using the restaurant or facilities, it’s a decent walk, so be prepared. The staff at the restaurant and bar were lovely, always cleaning and friendly. Food and drinks were really good. Perhaps some more signage for lodge numbers would help late arrivals. Overall, a top spot-we can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely holiday overall. The on-site facilities are pretty fantastic, especially the swimming pool which was spotless and well-maintained. The lodge was spacious enough for our family; it had all the basics, though a few cushions and some new curtains would make it feel even fresher. The kids loved the restaurant, even if the menu was a bit limited and slightly pricey. The only issue was the hot tub area - there's a cover behind you, so you're mostly private, but from the balcony, you can see into other people's spaces, which isn’t ideal when kids are changing. Still, we enjoyed our stay!

We recently stayed at Maplewyn and were really pleased with the whole experience. Upgraded to Finn lodge, which was a lovely surprise and the hot tub was such a treat! The place was spotless, spacious and felt really cosy. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful throughout. Perfect for celebrating special moments-thanks a lot!

The place felt pretty neglected, honestly. The dining chairs looked really worn out and should’ve been replaced ages ago. We also had a leak from the bathroom into the lounge, which wasn't great.

Water pressure was quite low, which was frustrating.

Really comfy lodge, felt new and fresh. Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, so no review there.

Fantastic and relaxing sty in such a peaceful setting.let down by 2 things: golf course shut, when it had been advertised when we booked and the lodge we were is a little frayed at the edges. They didn’t detract from our enjoyment but took away from the polish when compared to the rest of the venue.

Superb surroundings and settings. Exceptional lodge that was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. Staff on the resort were amazing. The restaurant was also top quality. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but, you get the quality you pay for.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. We stayed in the treehouse which was just amazing! Location was so central for days out. Would love to return and stay longer as there is so much to do and see! Highly recommend

We had a fabulous stay , our lodge was amazing very clean bright and airy - a great design. Our wonderful meal in the restaurant on site offered local produce superbly cooked , the very friendly & knowledgeable staff added to our delightful evening. My only minus was the spa pool was too cold but the Jacuzzi was great.

The location was a great mix of being peaceful and calm but still close enough to popular tourist hot spots for visiting. We had a great stay but did struggle with signal so the texts we were receiving from reception didn’t come through until we’d left the estate. We loved the lodge and hot tub and we loved walking around the estate feeding the birds and seeing the lake. The pool was fab and the changing facilities were clean. We’d love to come back in future.

We enjoyed our stay. We were comfortable and enjoyed the hot tub. The only criticism would be lack of a mirror (outside of the bathroom one) had to style hair without a mirror. But everything else was great! Can’t wait to come back again!
