We really enjoyed our stay! The lodges were cosy and perfect for relaxing. The hot tub at night was a real treat. Lovely walks along the canal too. Would come back!

We just got back from a lovely four-night stay at Coole Acres, staying in their Lake View hut 1 (Willow) and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place was spotless, warm and really cosy for all of us-me, my partner and our husky. Sitting by the private hot tub overlooking the lake was a real highlight, especially after long walks. The location is pretty great; we strolled into Audlem along the canal, hitting up a couple of dog-friendly pubs and even squeezed in a visit to the secret war bunker, which was a quirky little adventure. The staff at Coole Acres couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. We’re already planning our next trip!
Now, a few things we found useful to know beforehand: the kitchen was fully equipped, with a kettle, toaster, microwave and hob. There was plenty of fridge space and they even had mini milk pots which was a nice touch. All the essential crockery, cutlery and cookware were there, along with fairy liquid, a sponge and a cloth. The shower was great-big, powerful and hot, which was perfect after a day's exploring. The hut itself was really warm, thanks to a good radiator that we mostly turned off. Bedding was provided along with large and small towels, bath robes and a tea towel.
The pub nearby only opens at weekends and doesn’t serve food, but there’s a handy flyer for a food truck that delivers breakfast and lunch. We also used Uber Eats to get a Co-op delivery, which was super handy and we ordered from Pizza Parlour Nantwich a couple of times-seriously good pizza and kebabs! All in all, a fantastic break. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, especially the hot tub which was a lovely touch. One small suggestion is adding a gate at the entrance since it's dog-friendly-just to keep everyone safe!

We recently stayed at this cabin and honestly, it was pretty lovely. The location is stunning, perfect for anyone who loves long walks - it really is a beautiful spot. The cabin was well equipped, with towels, tea, coffee and even a TV to catch the football. The hot tub was definitely a highlight; it’s such a treat to unwind in, although we found the chemical smell a bit overpowering, so we didn’t use it as much as we thought we would. One thing to note is that there’s no active wifi in the cabin, which wasn’t a big issue for us but might matter to some. If you’re planning a quick weekend escape and don’t mind a limited choice of takeaways or activities, this place is pretty perfect. Overall, we had a great stay!

We really enjoyed staying here. The views over the lake are stunning and the pod has all the essentials - fridge, cooker, sink and a comfy double bed. The shower was lovely too. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially exploring nearby spots like Audlem and Nantwich. The canal walks are lovely and the food at Shroppe Inn was absolutely spot on. It’s a shame the Stagger Inn was closed during our visit. Would’ve been great to have some kind of cover or awning for lodges, especially with the unpredictable weather. Still, a lovely trip overall!

We recently stayed in the shepherds hut and honestly, it was quite charming and spotlessly clean. The size was cosy but had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy, which made for a great night's sleep. The hot tub was definitely the highlight - huge and perfect for unwinding, although it did have a bit of a strange smell and the lid was quite heavy to put back on. The surrounding scenery was stunning, really peaceful and well-kept. The staff were lovely, friendly and really knew their stuff. We also popped into the Stagger Inn for a drink; it’s a great pub, even though there was no food that weekend, they kindly suggested a takeaway. Overall, a really nice place with lovely people!
