Crantock Beach - Reviews

Fab beach views from Crantock Beach and the staff were really helpful about giving us directions to Newquay. The Wifi access was handy too as my boyfriend had to do some work while we were there and was impressed with the connection. We have had problems with wifi at other places we have stayed and so this was one less hassle. We had a Padstow caravan which was ample for our needs.

The only thing that lets down the parks caravans are the standard of beds. They leave you feeling less relaxed than you did before you left. Youre better off sleeping on the floor than these things. Made me appreciate my bed at home though, so I guess I can thank them for that. Otherwise, Crantok is wonderful.

The host was super friendly and really quick to respond, which made everything easy. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Well be returning for sure-great value and a proper escape.

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly but not intrusive at all, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we could possibly need - even a BBQ one evening, which was nice. And the hot tub? Absolutely brilliant! We spent a week here from 15 to 22 July with our two mini dachshunds and honestly, they loved every minute. The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself is really lovely - especially the hot tub, which was a lifesaver during the hotest days, as the water was nicely cooled and super refreshing. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and it was nice watching the planes come in since its near Stansteds flight path. Wed definitely recommend - a really nice spot for a relaxing break!

We had a really lovely stay at this cosy cottage. Its set on a working farm, but surprisingly private and peaceful. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are such lovely people - really friendly and welcoming. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to get out of. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and furnished nicely. Plus, there are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth checking out. Wed definitely recommend it!

Bonnie was adorable too. The location in Essex is perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages-loads of interesting sights and charming spots. Its just what you need for a relaxing break. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you're after comfort and character!

Great place to stay on Crantock Beach, the Caravan seemed to be brand new and was spotlessly clean.

In all honesty, the holiday was brilliant. Me and my friend had the best time, everyone including the staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location and surroundings were amazing, all in walking distance or a 5-10 minuet drive which wasn’t too bad, overall we were super happy with our stay, couldn’t have gone any better.

The best holiday I've ever had, it was so relaxing.
The 1 bedroom caravan I stayed in which was dog friendly was superb with a floor to ceiling window which had panoramic views over the beach and sea ,also my dog loved it as he could watch what was going on outside without jumping on the settee to see out.
I didnt need to use the car all week as there was a shop, restaurant & chippy on site & if I fancied a walk with my pooch, I'd venture to crantock village 5 min away which had 2 pubs & a cafe.

Lovely, they went out of their way to help if you needed anything & always stopped for a chat when they passed by, they even gave me a garden chair to sit outside the caravan as mine was too small.
