The garden was perfect for our dog, fully enclosed and safe. The whole place felt so calm and lovely. We’ll definitely return!

We spent a week here in July with our two small dogs and they loved it! The village of Thaxted is charming and our dogs made some new friends while we explored. The cottage itself is lovely, especially the hot tub-what a treat, especially during those scorching days, as the water was cooled for comfort. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields daily. Yes, it’s near Stansted’s flight path, but honestly, watching the planes land added a bit of charm to our stay. Would definitely recommend!

We found the caravan lovely and clean on arrival and the addition of the airfryer was a great addition.

The Beach House had pretty much everything we could ask for, which was great. At first, the WiFi was really rubbish, but it got better towards the end of the week. We were at the edge of the site, so maybe that’s why. Still, overall, not bad!

We’ve been coming to Crealy for over 28 years now and honestly, we still love it. The theme park itself is starting to look a bit tired, a bit jaded, but it’s still a fun day out for the kids. What really blew us away this time was staying at The Beach House - wow, what a difference! The quality of the fittings was top-notch, everything felt really luxurious. The beds and mattresses were comfy and the sofas and chairs looked really plush. No expense was spared and it definitely felt safer with all the Covid measures in place. We appreciated the evening entertainment on site and the Hot Tub was checked daily - it’s a proper Jacuzzi, which was a nice touch. The best part? Being out in rural Devon, in a quiet field with just a few lodges around, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. We did a few hours at the park each day then headed to the beach or Darts Farm for food. We’ve already booked for next year - can’t wait to stay even longer!

The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch, with all the info and menus we could ask for. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a day out. We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and honestly, it was such a lovely experience. Rob & Sharon really put a lot of effort into restoring the historic building and it shows. They greeted us with genuine warmth, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we enjoyed wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages, soaking in the history and charming architecture. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape!

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed, including a fantastic hot tub that staff kept in top shape. The only downside was the other bedrooms being tiny and more suited for kids. Still, the peaceful location made up for it!

Excellent clean and good facilities for all

We purchased wrist bands for the duration of our stay which were great value (two adults and two children) However it would have been nice if grandparents could have gone in too without having to purchase a ticket, (or at least discounted) seeing as they wouldn't go on any rides and the other outlets all incur an extra cost anyway (arcades, cafe, etc). This is my only criticism.

It was a great holiday ,took our two grandchildren and they said it was the best holiday ever !! Lovely lodge with hot tub that was very clean,modern and well equipped,I was over the moon with a utility room and washing machine. The theme park was a short walk away definitely worth buying the wristbands for the duration. Plenty to visit within an hours drive ,with different venues close by .
