We loved the peaceful vibe of the lodge park, it’s so quiet and relaxing. The lodge itself was spotless, comfy and had everything we needed. Great spot for exploring the Observatory and nearby places!

Disappointed with the experience, not quite what we were expecting.

We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it’s a lovely place with really nice decor and comfy beds. Everything was super clean and tidy, which we appreciated. However, we did notice quite a bit of mould in the corner of the main bedroom, which gave off a strong smell and slightly spoiled the experience. A few little touches, like providing hand soap and not having to strip the beds at checkout, would definitely improve things. The hot tub area is a bit odd - it's fenced off and we think lowering one side would make a big difference, offering better views of the valley. Still, overall, a pretty great stay!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The location is perfect, especially sitting out on the veranda without worrying about anyone peering in. The lodge was spotless and really well equipped, with a layout that made everything easy. We first visited last year for a special birthday and a trip to Kielder Observatory - the wildlife, peaceful surroundings and dark skies are just fantastic. We’re not hot tub people, but tried it and it really helped with aches and pains!

We had a great time at this place! The park itself is really peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The lodge was comfy and the hot tub was a nice touch. We lucked out with the weather - one night the sky was incredible, full of stars. Plenty of walks and cycle routes nearby, plus a pub with tasty food within walking distance. Definitely planning to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge! It’s perfect for couples or small groups, with just enough space and a lovely surprise dressing room off the main bedroom. The hot tub, though at the front, felt quite private thanks to the fencing. We’d definitely come back, absolutely loved it!

The place itself really is faultless, with everything we could possibly need and a cosy Christmas floral display when we arrived-it made us feel so welcome. The views are stunning and the quiet park meant total privacy for us. WiFi worked smoothly and the TV/music system kept us entertained. Honestly, we loved every minute and can’t wait to come back. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is so peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The place was spotless, warm and cosy. Just a small suggestion-adding some bedside lights would make it even better. Winter trips should be prepared for limited opening times, though.

We had such a lovely stay at this lodge! The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after a day out exploring. The place was beautifully prepared when we arrived-nice and warm, which was perfect since we got caught in storm Babet. The owners were so helpful, reaching out beforehand with tips and directions and they greeted us when we got there, making us feel really welcome. Despite the storm, we still managed to enjoy ourselves and the clear night sky on the second evening was absolutely stunning-great for our telescopes! We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

The lodge was really cosy and the little personal touches made it feel like home.

We loved the peaceful setting, it’s ideal for walking or cycling right from the doorstep. The silence was refreshing. Be sure to bring supplies since there are no shops nearby. We’re definitely planning to visit again soon! Absolutely worth it.

We really enjoyed our visit and would happily return. The only thing missing was a play area outside for kids, but it wouldn’t stop us from coming back again soon!

We had a really lovely stay. The peaceful atmosphere was perfect for relaxing, especially if you enjoy outdoor activities like walking and cycling. The hot tub was a real treat after biking around the lake. Just a tip-bring some insect repellent for the midges! Would definitely recommend.

We loved the mountain biking here - such a great spot! Not many restaurants around, but since it's self-catering, we brought everything we needed.

We genuinely enjoyed our stay here. It’s a lovely place and we’re really hoping to return someday. Sadly, it’s fully booked for the foreseeable future, so we’ll keep trying for cancellations.

Great place, just wish we stayed longer

Jackie really went out of her way to help us discover some great activities. When we arrived, there was even a lovely cake waiting for us - it felt so welcoming. We absolutely loved every moment in the lodge, especially the hot tub - such a treat!

A fantastic holiday it’s was fabulous

Beautiful setting. Beautiful accomodation. Perfect long weekend away. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The lodge had everything we needed in it. Only thing we were disappointed about was not being able to see the stars at night but it was wrong time of the year I think for that. I would highly recommend it to anyone especially those wanting a peaceful setting to relax but with adventures close by for families who also want to explore, cycle, walk, do water sports etc too.
