Fab little lodge. Great size fridge and freezer which was a relief. Big shower, all utensils available. Our only problem was that if you turned on the one television the other one would also turn on which was quite funny.

Perfect winter escape, exactly what we needed to relax after a hectic few months!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely kind and so thoughtful - couldn't ask for more. The cottage is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a really powerful shower. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it perfect for relaxing. Parking right next to the property was super convenient and everything was spotless and well heated. Great walking trails nearby to Thaxted, with its pretty houses and windmill. Definitely recommend!

Our lodge was absolutely awesome. Totally immaculate and fully equipped. All we needed to bring with us was food, drinks and condiments. They even provided dishwasher tablets. The hot tub worked great and was nice to sit in and unwind.

We have been coming to Leycroft valley for years and have been under several owners, we have stayed in most of the cabins including the treehouses , however over the years we have sadly noticed it’s decline in the decor , with ripped sofas , cracked ceilings , and spiders webs that haven’t been cleaned away, but still love coming there because of the idyllic location , recently under the new owners they have started to upgrade the cabins which makes them much more appealing and only recently Leycroft House has become available to sleep 10 people , we stayed for the week there and the upgrade they have done on this property is absolutely outstanding, we couldn’t fault it at all and would definitely stay in there again , it has its own driveway and electric charger and hot tub , so you are looking down the valley onto the cabins . Love love love , highly recommend it , we just hope that others that stay there give it the respect it deserves to keep it looking brand new for as long as possible , oh and it takes up to 2 pets too !

We stayed at The Lodge and, honestly, it’s a mixed bag. Some areas felt a bit tired, missing a headboard and the small double bed wasn’t quite what we hoped for. Still, it was clean, the facilities were decent and the staff were really friendly. We’d definitely return for a quick off-season getaway despite the little snags!

Our holiday was brilliant. We spent very little time at the facility and spent our days travelling around Cornwall. We visited St Ives for the first time and it’s as lovely as people say! And I definitely recommend polly joke beach in Newquay for a seal hot spot!

We really enjoyed our stay! The countryside around was so peaceful and the hot tub was a lovely touch. The slate courtyard was perfect for relaxing evenings. Definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic weekend stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The place was perfect for what we needed and we’ll surely be coming back. Our dogs adored the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail non-stop! She even strained it, but the vet said it was just from all her excitement. Happy pups, happy us!

We loved the cosy feel of the cottage, perfect for a peaceful escape. The hot tub was a real highlight, though the planes at night are a bit noisy! Great stay overall.

Great place to unwind and relax away from everything.

We stayed at Lidden Lodge No 30 and really enjoyed it. The location by the lake was stunning and the big decking area was perfect for relaxing, though another chair would’ve been a nice addition. Inside, the lodge felt cosy but was still well equipped and spotless. The only downside was the shower, which screeched loudly every time-probably to encourage quick showers! The hairdryer didn’t sound great either, so we were a bit cautious. Still, it was a lovely break and we’d definitely recommend it!

The place looked stunning and was quite tidy, but a bit more attention to detail with handles and the hot tub’s cleanliness would've been nice. Still a lovely spot!

Really enjoyed the little hot tub, perfect for solo relaxing. Managing the lid was straightforward, even alone. The lodge was cosy, with parking nearby-lovely stay!

The owners were so welcoming and really went above and beyond when the power was knocked out by the storm. The place was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we loved the hot tub!

From the moment we arrived, Rob & Sharon made us feel really welcome and Bonnie was adorable too! They’ve put a lot of effort into preserving this historic building and it shows. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we loved wandering around Thaxted and checking out the lovely villages nearby. Goddard's Mead is just what you need for a chilled, comfy stay. Definitely recommend it if you’re after a peaceful getaway!

I booked the days but wanted to reduce to two. Was told three was minimum and if wanted to cancel would only get 10% back. That was only one day after booking. Outrageous!!

Beautiful location and just perfect so our Labrador. Really close to local town and the the most beautiful beaches and views.

Lovely lodge with hot tub, well situated for lots of different visits. Very clean and comfortable within a good distance for loads of attractions. Initially the road to arrive is a bit of a scary drive as it is very narrow. You soon get used to it and all drivers are very considerate as these narrow roads often lead you to the most interesting places.

We have been coming to this sight for many years and have seen it developed .The position of this sight in Cornwall is one of the best ,positioned down a small lane not far from all the lovely beaches and Perranporth itself.The lodges are tucked away with lots of trees surrounding them and very peaceful.The lodge interior was comfortable and clean and all you need while you are on holiday.We stopped for two weeks and we asked if we could have fresh towels for the second week which they provided also changing our bed sheets at the same time.
