Overall, this place was pretty good! The only minor issues were the tiny, shallow basin in the bathroom and the bath tap that felt a bit loose and wobbly. Nothing major though.

We absolutely loved our stay! The lodge's stunning 180-degree views were breathtaking and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing after exploring. Very clean and well equipped too.

We recently stayed at this lodge and honestly, it’s fantastic. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living space feels so spacious and cosy at the same time. The bedrooms are huge, with super comfy beds that made us want to stay in bed all day! The views are just stunning, whether you’re looking over the lake or the rolling hills and Skiddaw. Perfect for any weather, especially with the undercover hot tub. The smart TVs and log burner added a nice touch. We’ve been here a few times now and it’s definitely our go-to spot for a chilled getaway!

We arrived to a warm welcome from friendly staff, which made us feel at home right away. The site was spotless and easy to get around. Our stay in the Wellington was fantastic - so clean and well-equipped, with everything from dishwasher to utensils. Plenty of shops and beaches nearby. Would definitely return!

The lodges are really cosy and warm, with a well-stocked kitchen. Washer dryer was perfect after the hot tub!

Great stay, but some things could be improved.

We stayed here with my partner and our two kids and honestly, it was a lovely escape. The lodges were spotless and really comfy. The spot is perfect if you're after peace and quiet, just what we needed. The only real downside was the restaurant wasn’t open every day, which was a bit disappointing. Still, a great place for kids to play, explore and do a bit of fishing. Perfect for relaxing!

This lodge is perfect for chilling out, especially during the festive season, love it!

While the park seems more like a quiet retreat with few play options, the staff were lovely and really made our kids feel at home. It’s not the best for active young families wanting loads of activities, but we still had a really nice stay overall. Would visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The lodges are really plush and perfect for unwinding. The hot tub is sheltered and watching the outdoor TV while relaxing was a real treat. We combined the twin beds so both rooms felt spacious enough for two couples. The grey interior was quite trendy too.

We stayed at this lovely lodge and really enjoyed the peaceful country setting. The place is modern and well equipped, plus the wood burner made it extra cosy. The hot tub was a highlight - though it’d be even better with some grab handles. Overall, a great escape!

We had an amazing time staying in Lawson for the first time. It’s the oldest lodge on site, so it’s a bit less modern, but still really comfortable and well-equipped. Loved that it had everything we needed, including binoculars for wildlife spotting. The two ducks were adorable-definitely bring some duck food!

We really enjoy coming here year after year. It’s perfect for a couple and the hot tub is a lovely bonus. Peaceful views over the lake are stunning!

We had an amazing stay at Wordsworth Lodge! Honestly, it’s the nicest luxury lodge we've been to so far. The rooms are so spacious, beds are super comfy and the furniture adds a lovely touch. The bathrooms are lovely and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked and the welcome pack was a nice touch. It’s so peaceful and private with great views. Highly recommend!

We have stayed in many lodges over the years and this is in the top one or two absolutely amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, every thing you need in a kitchen and a fan included. We always over pack but you don’t need to take kitchen cleaner, cloths, bin bags, dishwasher tablets enough for one a day. Milk, bread, butter and jam more than enough of these. Hot tub looked after on a daily basis. Surroundings are beautiful, well laid out with mounds between each lodge, so you are not overlooked and peaceful. Only niggles and not one that the lodges could change, the road or rail noise can be loud early in the morning, two of us were woken early on the first morning, but a set of ear plugs stopped one of us waking the following morning and the other slept through with no issues. I will say that other in our party didn’t wake and everyone said they felt they had slept better at the lodge than they had for a long time. You cannot hear the road at any other times. Shower pressure isn’t the best but does its job. Overall, brilliant stay and will be back again that’s for sure, may be even later this year. PS please use the chopping boards in the kitchen, there are lots of them and sadly not everyone has which is a real shame for the owners.

Had a fabulous break away staying in the Darwin lodge. The only negative was having to leave! It was a real treat and we will be back.

If Carlsberg did lodges, this would be it! Absolutely stunning lodge internally and externally. Everything is thought of for the stay, even down to all the utensils that you didn’t know you may need. One of the comfiest beds I have stayed in. Even the lights in the roof for the outside deck is that certain touch of luxury that has been thought of. Every little aspect of the stay has been thought exceptionally. The food at the restaurant was amazing as well as the butchers. Loved it so much I have booked again (as a surprise) for my husbands birthday in December for 3 nights again?
