A lovely lodge, so quiet and peaceful. Rooms are a little bit dated but very clean and in comfortable. The new bathroom was lovely.

Had all we needed for a short stay, lodge was clean enough. Will stay again. A few more luxuries like a dishwasher are needed for a longer stay! Loved the quiet country vibes

Our stay in March was truly lovely. The cottage was spotlessly clean and cosy, with a hot tub that was great fun. Plenty of room for the dogs to run around and the mornings were absolutely stunning. Well definitely be returning soon, cant wait!

We've stayed at Queenshill a few times now and always enjoyed it, but Elm Lodge really stole our hearts this time! Perfect for just the two of us, the bed is super comfy and the place stays cosy. Nothing beats relaxing in the hot tub under the stars after a day out, surrounded by wildlife and peaceful scenery. Its such a lovely escape from the rush of everyday life. We definitely plan to come back again! The only small thing was the kitchen - it lacked some utensils and accessories. We had to make do with normal spoons for stirring and theres no grater, which is a pain when making spag bol without cheese. Also, a liquid hand soap in the bathroom would be a nice touch. Still, overall a great stay!

We recently spent a few days at the lodge from the 25th to the 28th of February. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated and in such a peaceful, scenic spot - exactly what we wanted for a relaxing break. That said, there are a few things the owners could improve. The shower was a bit frustrating; it kept stopping halfway through, which made washing a bit of a chore. A small welcome guide with some local tips, especially for different seasons, would be really helpful, especially for those arriving late like us, who might not have time to explore immediately. Also, leaving a few tea bags, some milk sachets and instant coffee would be a lovely touch for guests arriving after shops have closed. Lastly, having more than one loo roll and some liquid hand soap available in the bathroom would really make a difference. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. We hope these suggestions are taken as helpful rather than criticism - just trying to make a good thing even better!

Great spot for a break, especially if you need some peace!

This cottage was just perfect for our weekend away. The setting is so peaceful, surrounded by lovely farms and we even got to see some horses. The owners are super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, well be coming back for sure-its a great spot for a quiet escape!

We loved the cosy feel of the cottage, especially the log burner and hot tub. The hosts were so friendly, made us feel right at home. Hope to come back soon for a longer stay!

Paddock View had everything we needed-two bedrooms, a shower room, kitchenette and comfy lounge. Perfect spot for a weeks stay, really enjoyed it! Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed the place itself; its quite lovely. Unfortunately, a strong wind knocked out the internet, which was a bit of a pain since we needed it for work. The network engineers took four days to fix it and we were only there for six days, so that was a bit frustrating. The facilities inside the accommodation were top-notch, especially the hot shower. The tennis court out back could do with a mow - it was pretty unplayable. Still, overall, not bad!

We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage was well-equipped and having walks right outside was perfect. The hosts made us feel so welcome, honestly lovely people. Would definitely return!

We loved this cosy little cottage! Its tucked away enough for peace and quiet but still close to local shops and eateries. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating kept everything super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Cant wait to return!

We absolutely adore Queenshill Lodges! Its our third time here and honestly, it feels like were the only ones around, even with the rain pouring down. The grounds are stunning and so well maintained, really adding to the cosy vibe. The lodge had everything we needed, though I agree the mattress isnt the comfiest - but we brought a topper, so no worries. Weve already booked our next trip, cant wait to come back!

A superb tranquil & idyllic get away lodge! Situated in beautiful location, surroundings & a peaceful retreat from everything. Homely, yet modern and spotless interior with lush green vistas of Rhododendron bushes, grassy areas and a lovely walled garden to roam, literally steps away. Plenty of private parking and easy access to the nearby area for exploring the coastline.

Lodge in a great spot plenty of walks lots to see .There's a map to guide you round the estate, you can't get lost.
There's various towns round about easy to get too

Are holiday was excellent just loved ringford Queenshill lodges ELm lodge we stayed in was lovely and very clean and all we needed country side was amazing we will be looking to go again

The location of the lodge is beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and you feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere. The lodge is about a 10 minute drive from shops. Our kids loved a day out at Carrick Beach, The Cocobean factory and the nearby fairy trail. We loved it and would definitely return.

Second year for us here ,we love the peace and stepping straight out on to the grass,wonderful wildlife and scenic walks.We saw a little deer each morning and even had Goldcrest visiting.Lodge is very comfortable and a central base for lots of things to do .We will be back next year.

Lovely lodge very private and quiet ideal for families and dogs was a really great weekend not far from local shops just so peaceful

We stayed in Elm Lodge which is the first lodge through the gates at Queenshill. It was in a lovely position with a big grassed area behind it which was great for our Cockapoo to have a good run around.
The lodge itself was clean and spacious. A nice sized lounge area and adequate kitchen. There was a notice saying that some unnecessary items had been removed but only having 2 each of all cutlery and plates, side plates and cups was a pain at times. This was the only fault we could find. The bedroom/dressing room was a very good size with a nice ensuite shower room.
We would definitely return if visiting the area again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elm Lodge.

Lovely, dog friendly lodge in a peaceful location. Enjoy a walk round the estate then relax in the beautiful surroundings of the walled garden or take a drive into nearby Kirkcudbright or Castle Douglas.
