Lodge very well equipped, water to hot in taps , little bits of wear but not to bad. Very spacious & comfortable

What went well :-Easy to findMassive wooded lodges well spaced out Upstairs room for the adultsBig veranda Big hottubOverlooks fields and surrounded by nature Well equipped kitchen - too many bowls and plates to count Every bedroom has its own bathroom We took two dogs and two teenagers and all loved it.Easy checkin and checkout Great location for Sherwood Forest and some good places to eat nearby - Royal Oak and FoxGlove. Ordered Dominoes and they drove straight to our lodge Great for a group / family special occasions Free bottle of wine and plenty of tea and coffeeWildlife seen on site - Buzzard - large female - very small fast deer - squirrels and a a few frogs :-) Not so well :-Im being a picky but its the most expensive lodge ever stayed so Im expecting high standards. Massive pile of old furniture has just been put in the bushes across field from lodges - its a bit of an eyesore - who decided to do that?No gates on veranda for dogs so had to put chairs across the 2 gaps There is a single recycling bin in the lodge which when you take to the bins has to be split across a number of bins. Despite brilliant tv for streaming wifi kept breaking so streamed off phone - 5G available

The lodge was a great place to stay. Clean and well equipped.

The location is great and the lodge is an ideal size and has all the facilities. Cleanliness and Maintenance however need attention. Happy to share specifics with the company.

Floors outside need upgrading

The owners are genuinely lovely and went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The place is spotless, cosy and well-equipped. Our dog loved the secure garden and we had a great time in the hot tub!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and well-equipped, making it feel really homely. Loads of great walks right outside, perfect for the dogs. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Definitely coming back - great value and highly recommend!

We had a lovely time at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and very welcoming. The place itself is huge with well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The bed was super comfy and the gardens totally dog-proof and perfect for relaxing outside. There are plenty of nice walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely countryside retreat. The courtyard was lovely and the hot tub made it feel so special. Perfect for relaxing walks in the area too.

We absolutely loved the hot tub, it was such a treat! The underfloor heating made everything cosy and being able to control each rooms temperature was brilliant.

We spent a couple of nights at Loxley Lodge and honestly, its lovely. The place is spotless, new and super well-equipped. The hot tub was a real highlight! Perfect for a peaceful retreat. Well definitely be back soon, its just what we needed.

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert were such welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home. The place had everything we needed-spotlessly clean, comfy and secure for Archie, our dog. The location was perfect, with so many nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are absolutely charming. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed after a great week away. Would recommend!

We booked this place for a dog walking getaway and it was just what we needed. Lovely quality accommodation, nearby pubs and eateries and endless fields for walks. Honestly, the dog didn't want to leave! Brilliant spot.

We had a lovely weekend at Redbrick lodges in the Moshannon lodge. The hot tub was really nice and we felt so relaxed while we was there. The parkManager always got back to me quickly if we had any queries. Was lovely and peaceful. Like that there weee plenty of dishwasher tablets, clothes and sponges to wash pots if needed. There wasnt any oven gloves but we improvised with a towel we brought. WiFi worked well to say there was 4 of us using it and there was Netflix on the tv. Lodge was also lovely and warm. Would definitely go back :)

We stayed at Moshannon lodge for a weekend and honestly, it was lovely. The hot tub was a real highlight, so relaxing after a long day. The park manager was always quick to respond to any questions we had, which was really reassuring. The place was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. We appreciated the plenty of dishwasher tablets, sponges and even clothes for washing up - made things so much easier. Only thing missing was oven gloves, but we just used a towel instead. WiFi was solid, even with four of us streaming Netflix. The lodge was warm and cosy too. Wed definitely return!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a lovely job transforming this historic building with such care. They gave us a warm welcome and Bonnie was adorable too. The location is spot on - perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. If you're into discovering charming old buildings and relaxing in a cosy spot, we definitely recommend it. Well be back for sure!

Fantastic lodge which surpassed expectations. Really nice surroundings and the Park Manager Konor was really helpful and welcoming.

Our third visit to these lodges and although quite pricey you do get what you pay for. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Love these lodges.

We stayed in the great barn very well equipped. Lovely place helpful and friendly warden, hot tub checked every morning.

We had an excellent stay m, the only down side is the balcony is mostly shaded, only between 5/7 pm dud the balcony get any sun, and this was at the very end of it, far away from the hot Tub which was entirely shaded.

Amazing lodge with great views

Great location and peaceful on site. The site is well maintained and looked after. The only thing I could say to make it better is maybe update your sign on the road as it’s very easy to miss when driving on the main road.

Fantastic break in idyllic location. Staff on hand (if needed) but quietly go about their roles in a manner which does not disturb your own peace and quiet.

What an amazing and relaxing stay I had here with my family, the lodge is beautiful, very clean and has everything you need. We are already looking at dates for our next stay ?

We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back, very clean facilities, loads to do in the area, very peaceful only downfall was the heating as it was always in full even if we changed it on the settings but didn’t spoil the stay!
