Great place, would definitely return

We stayed at Moshannon lodge for a weekend and honestly, it was lovely. The hot tub was a real highlight, so relaxing after a long day. The park manager was always quick to respond to any questions we had, which was really reassuring. The place was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. We appreciated the plenty of dishwasher tablets, sponges and even clothes for washing up - made things so much easier. Only thing missing was oven gloves, but we just used a towel instead. WiFi was solid, even with four of us streaming Netflix. The lodge was warm and cosy too. We’d definitely return!

Very comfy, would stay again

Honestly, we found the beds way too low and the upstairs rooms lacked proper soundproofing. It felt like sleeping in a caravan with pigeons on the roof! The lodge parking is shared, but random folks fishing often park in lodge spaces. The gated area isn’t secure since the gates are always open and with no staff around except the hot tub guy at 9:30 am, we wouldn’t recommend it. Sorry!

Overall, we found the sofas a bit disappointing; the back support feels quite flimsy, almost like it’s broken or just not sturdy enough.

We had a lovely stay in this peaceful spot with gorgeous surroundings. The only minor hiccups were some small issues, like the patio doors not opening, but we mentioned them when we left. The host assured us everything would be sorted. Honestly, these little things wouldn’t stop us from coming back or recommending it to friends. It’s a really nice place!

The place was super clean and comfy and we loved how close it was to Sherwood Forest. The hot tub was a real treat, especially at night with those colour-changing lights-absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge! The facilities were spot on, especially the well-equipped kitchen. It would be even better with a coat hanging area and an indoor mat to keep the floors dry - small touches that make a difference. Definitely recommend!

We found the pre-arrival info really helpful, so we knew exactly how to get into our lodge without any fuss. Before heading in, we stopped at a local supermarket to pick up some supplies, which was handy. We stayed in the Cedar Lodge and I’ll admit, the hot tub sitting right in the front garden was a bit of a surprise. Honestly, I was a little concerned about privacy - a pull-down side for the hot tub shelter would be a great addition. We're glad we didn’t bring our dog because the garden isn’t fenced, so it’s not secure. Hopefully, once the trees grow a bit more, it’ll feel a bit more secluded, but a privacy screen in the meantime would really help. Inside the lodge was quite nice, reasonably clean - though there were a few cobwebs, dusty lampshades and a fluff-covered fan in the bathroom that could easily be sorted out. The bed was comfy and the big fridge/freezer was a plus. The only thing missing for us was a measuring jug! The shower was fine, but on our last morning, the water pressure dropped quite a bit. Someone came daily to check the hot tub, but on the final morning, it was emptied before we checked out, so no last dip! We ordered brownies and breakfast for our anniversary, but the breakfast had to be delivered the day before - luckily, the fridge was big enough to store it. Overall, we had a nice, peaceful stay, enjoyed the hot tub, but the privacy issue did make us feel a little uneasy.

The cottage was lovely and we appreciated having everything we needed. The bed was a bit too soft for us and a fan would’ve been handy for warm nights.

We found the beds to be quite firm, which wasn’t really for us. Also, both settees definitely need replacing soon.

The place was lovely, with a nice, roomy feel to it. It’s true some bits look a bit dated, but overall, it’s well kitted out. Beds were a bit low and small doubles, which was a tiny bother. Shower issue was sorted quickly, so no complaints there. Would recommend!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it’s a bit disappointing. The place is nicely tucked away in a woodland setting, but the lack of tree trimming means it’s pretty dark inside and on the balcony. The front of the lodge looks neglected, with mossy, slippery paths and overgrown shrubs that block sunlight. The cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch - the oven was grimy and the outdoor areas hadn’t been tidied in ages; bird droppings and leaves everywhere. Maintenance is also an issue, with loose toilet seats and rotting stairs. Such a shame because it could be really lovely if they took more care of it. We expected better!

We loved the place! It’s super spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances in great shape, which made cooking a breeze. The en suites are also really nice. Only tiny thing is the sofas-they’ve definitely seen better days, being so deep that you kind of sink into the back. But honestly, that’s all we could find to complain about. The lodge is stunning and we’d move in if we could! Definitely recommend.

The decking needs a proper clean and the upper balcony could do with sweeping more often. Quite dusty!

We had a fantastic weekend at the barn! The four en-suite rooms made it really comfortable for everyone and the place was spotless and well stocked with all the modern gadgets. The location was spot on, with lovely woodland walks just across the road and pubs or shops only a quick drive away. The only downer was the hot tub - honestly, it was a bit cramped for 8 adults, more like fit for 6 at a stretch. For a house that sleeps 8, we’d expect a bit more space there. Still, overall it was a brilliant stay and we’d definitely come back!

We stayed in a four-sleeper and honestly, it was just what we needed. Plenty of space and most kitchen essentials were there. The lakeview spot is a bit further from the main entrance, but it’s quieter and more private - we liked that.

The lodge was lovely and spacious, with a really relaxing hot tub. The beds were super comfy and everything was clean. The only downside was some tired patches and a weird smell from the downstairs shower drain, probably from the dishwasher - could do with some bleach!

Our third visit to these lodges and although quite pricey you do get what you pay for. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Love these lodges.

We stayed in the great barn very well equipped. Lovely place helpful and friendly warden, hot tub checked every morning.

We had an excellent stay m, the only down side is the balcony is mostly shaded, only between 5/7 pm dud the balcony get any sun, and this was at the very end of it, far away from the hot Tub which was entirely shaded.

Amazing lodge with great views

Great location and peaceful on site. The site is well maintained and looked after. The only thing I could say to make it better is maybe update your sign on the road as it’s very easy to miss when driving on the main road.

Fantastic break in idyllic location. Staff on hand (if needed) but quietly go about their roles in a manner which does not disturb your own peace and quiet.

We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back, very clean facilities, loads to do in the area, very peaceful only downfall was the heating as it was always in full even if we changed it on the settings but didn’t spoil the stay!
