Upon arrival, we were greeted by really helpful staff, which gave a great first impression. The holiday park itself was clean, tidy, and set in a stunning location – the views were absolutely gorgeous!We chose a silver caravan this time, having stayed in one before and enjoyed the extra comfort, space, and modern feel it typically offers. Unfortunately, this particular unit fell short of expectations. As soon as we stepped inside, we noticed a musty smell and the overall condition felt outdated and cramped. There were several signs of wear and tear – rusty radiators, peeling laminate on the table, water not draining in shower and a general lack of upkeep. It definitely didn’t match the photos online.That said, we were only staying for two nights, so we didn’t let it ruin our experience. Despite the caravan’s condition, we still had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It’s just worth noting that the interiors of the silver caravans do not reflect the standard you see on the pictures online. We did see other caravans on site that looked much nicer – likely from a higher tier – so we’d definitely consider upgrading next time.One of the highlights of the stay was the private cove. It’s a steep walk, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, but if you can manage it, it’s absolutely worth it – the views and sunsets were stunning.While there’s nothing within walking distance, the park is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. We took short drives and visited Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Lynton & Lynmouth – all beautiful places that we’d highly recommend.Overall, we had a lovely time and made the most of our stay. If we return, we’ll definitely opt for a higher-tier caravan to ensure a more comfortable experience.

We had a fantastic week at the cottage with our two tiny dachshunds. They loved exploring the village of Thaxted and making new friends with other dogs. The place itself is really charming - especially the hot tub, which was a real treat during the scorching weather; the cooled water was so relaxing! The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. It was nice to see their horses being taken out daily and watching the planes land near Stansted added a bit of excitement. We’d definitely recommend Hide for a relaxing getaway!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy little cottage! It’s tucked away on a working farm but feels totally private, which was perfect for us. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people - really friendly and welcoming. The place itself is super spacious, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden was perfect for our dog, totally secluded and safe. We enjoyed exploring the walks nearby and Thaxted’s restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. We’d definitely recommend it!

The welcome pack was a nice touch, with all the info and menus sorted out perfectly. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to respond whenever we had questions. The holiday escape caravan was absolutely beautiful. The location is fantastic.You are half hour drive away from Woodcombe where the beaches are beautiful

Really enjoyed our time here! Everything was spotless and the hot tub was a lovely touch.

Only issue was with the size of the beds which strangely weren’t the same in the rooms with the twin beds. One room had 2’6” beds and another only 2’ wide beds. Meant a lot of moaning from the kids

We stayed at this place and honestly, it was brilliant. The house had everything we needed and was super cosy, especially on that rainy December day. The bath was lovely and the shower was really spacious. No bother at all with the nearby flight path, which was a relief. Perfect spot for dogs, especially if fireworks scare them. Absolutely brilliant location caravan was great value for money although front of cooker needs cleaning but apart from that brilliant.

The cottage was perfect for a peaceful getaway, though planes at night from nearby Stanstead did occasionally interrupt the silence. The hot tub was definitely a highlight though!

Beautiful location, fab caravan exceptionally clean. Only negative comments are more seating required around pool & few more amusement machines for children. In you sister site there were far more amusements for children.

Stunning views, clean and comfortable accommodation. The pool was warm, food and drinks on site were reasonably priced.

Beautiful location , caravan clean and modern and only a short walk from the beach, mermaid cove and 10 mins to Combe Martin beach and town . Obviously a lot of hills but that’s Devon . Will definitely come back to this site
