Fantastic break the lodge is of a very high standard beautiful interior Peaceful and picturesque setting The beds where not as comfortable as would have liked and fans would have been great as the lodge gets extremely hot in the summer months Lighting up the steps and around the hot tub would have been useful as lighting is limited on an eveningHad several meals at the Aspery house 5 star food and service But over all I would stay again definitely

The lodge was dog friendly and lovely apart from the carpet which was disappointingly dirty. All it needed was a more regular shampoo. The outside table did not have an umbrella and as I have had a malignant melanoma I no longer sit in the sun. An umbrella would have been very welcome.

Beds weren’t great if you have a bad back, But sofa was more comfortable than expected. Complicated tv but loads of options to watch

Very nice location, four adults occupied the lodge & had ample space. Slight issue with the shower tray not draining & flooding the bathroom, we reported this to the staff who were most apologetic, fortunately the lodge has two bathrooms.

We absolutely loved our lodge and had an incredible week. The weather was spectacular—a delightful bonus—making this already fantastic location even better. The facilities were first-class, the golf course was impeccably maintained, and the surrounding area offered plenty of charming towns and fascinating landmarks to discover.

We stayed there as I was working in Birmingham. The week previous we booked a house in the city that was twice the price and was awful. Even though I ended up with a 1 hour commute to work it was amazing. My partner worked from the lodge and the WIFI was great. The lodge was very comfortable and clean. It was in great condition, felt brand new. The hot tub was a nice addition to relax in after a long day. Our dog was secure with a gate on the decking. Also great site for walking dogs.The bar and restaurant is a great place to relax, watching golfers tee off on the 1st and finish on the par 3 18th, which is a great finishing hole with the tee shot having to clear a small lake.The food is top notch too.All in all a great experience and we will be back as soon as possible.Highly recommended.

Lodge had everything you’re likely to need. And was in s great location very peaceful. Patio was all fenced in which is perfect if you have a dog with you. We had a small issue with power which tripped the hot tub but they came straight out to resolve it. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful

Lodge was amazing true home from home with everything needed the only small thing but just my opinion a small tv in one of bedrooms would have been nice .

We had a fantastic stay! The lodge truly felt like a home away from home with all the essentials. Only tiny thing is a small TV in one bedroom would be a bonus.

Chestnut Lodge felt really cosy and had a lovely view, plus the outdoor decking with furniture was a nice touch. The heating was easy to control and kept us warm, which is always a bonus. The place was well stocked with appliances like a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, even if we didn't use all of them. The only downside was the TV - it was a bit complicated and there weren’t clear instructions for basic channels like BBC and ITV. Still, overall, a great stay and we’d definitely return!

We spent a lovely weekend at Astbury, staying in one of their stunning on-site lodges. The location was just perfect, with the lodge sitting right beside a gentle waterfall - so peaceful and calming. Our lodge had a fantastic outdoor hot tub built into the decking, which was a real highlight. The privacy was well thought out, thanks to the glass railing and clever furniture placement, so we felt completely comfortable relaxing outside without feeling watched. Inside, the lodge was spotless and well-equipped, with all the essentials plus a little welcome pack - tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cookies and even some cleaning supplies like a sponge, dish soap, dishwasher tablets and bin bags. The bed was incredibly comfy and the overall living space was just lovely. The staff were super friendly and helpful; they even checked us in early and answered our questions about hiring tennis equipment for the courts. Honestly, we had such a great time and can’t wait to return to Astbury soon. We’re excited to see how the site changes over the next few months. Thanks for making our anniversary so special - we truly loved it!

I spent the weekend with my partner at Astbury in one of their gorgeous on-site lodges. The area was beautiful and our lodge was right next to the waterfall which was so peaceful. The lodge we chose to stay in had a hot tub built into the decking outside which was lovely. There was enough privacy provided by the glass railing around and the furniture placement to make us feel comfortable being in there and not being seen. The lodge itself was immaculate and clean, had all the basics and even came with a welcome box filled with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cookies, as well as cleaning supplies being provided such as a sponge, dish soap, dishwasher tablets and clean bin bags. The bed was super comfy and the living space was just overall amazing. The welcome from the staff was friendly and helpful for the questions we had about hiring tennis equipment for the courts on-site, and they were kind enough to check us in early as well. Overall an amazing stay, we will be returning back to Astbury in the near future and we can’t wait to see how the site develops in the next few months! Thank you so much for an amazing anniversary stay.
