Went for the Rock the Lakes and Abba weekend was great. This is our third time here and enjoy it every time. We go camping and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and entertainment. Hopefully going again for the August bank holiday weekend.

The caravan was okay, but honestly, it could use a proper deep clean. Dusty skirting boards and corners were pretty noticeable and I’m pretty sure the floor hadn’t been swept or hoovered properly. Maybe the cleaners don’t get enough time, really. It’s a shame!

When we first arrived, the caravan was pretty disappointing - right next to the RAF runway and it was filthy, especially the floor. The seating area had stains on the carpet and there were stains on the pillowcase too. No blind over the sink meant no privacy, which was a bit annoying. The hot tub was out of order as well. Honestly, it felt like it hadn’t been checked before we got there. Luckily, the next day we were moved to a lovely lodge and the receptionist was fantastic-really apologetic and quick to sort it out. The lodge was gorgeous and it definitely made up for the rough start. Would I book another caravan? Probably not, but the lodge is worth it. Just wish the caravan had been checked beforehand.

Absolutely loved the vibrant splash of blue! It’s gorgeous and really adds a touch of luxury. We felt like it elevated the whole look instantly. Honestly, it’s exactly what we wanted - so chic and eye-catching without being over the top. Definitely a great choice and we’re really pleased with it. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of luxe in their space!

Great, but slow

The cabin's lovely but needs some TLC. The outdoor steps are poorly lit and risky after dark and some furniture like the coffee table and blinds are broken. Could be better.

Honestly, we were so disappointed. The place looked nothing like the photos-everything was damaged and stained. It had this awful smell of rotten wood that just wouldn’t go away. Definitely not worth the cheap price. We’ve stayed in worse hostels in Asia and this was way below standard. Wouldn’t recommend it at all!

Honestly, it was quite the shocker.

We had a pretty good time at Tattershall Lakes, definitely plenty to do to keep busy. We stayed in the comfort lodge, but honestly, it wasn’t worth the price for three nights. The place could really do with a deep clean and some repairs - everything inside looked pretty worn out. Still, we’re keen to come back someday, just not in that same accommodation. Overall, a decent holiday, but the lodge could be better!

We stayed at the lodge and loved the setting, it’s really beautiful. The staff were all super friendly, which was great. The upstairs restaurant served some lovely food, but honestly, the downstairs one wasn’t as impressive. The only downside was the place could have been cleaner. Also, if you’re sensitive to noise, this place isn’t for you with those jets overhead all day. We’d still go back though!

Unfortunately, our kettle arrived already broken and during our stay, the heating also stopped working. We couldn’t get anyone to fix either problem.

We stayed in a Duck Lagoon lodge and honestly, it was fantastic! The hot tub was a real highlight and the lodge felt super spacious. Plus, having dog-friendly facilities made everything even better. The on-site food options were also spot on.

We stayed in a lodge that definitely needs some sprucing up, but it was pretty clean inside, apart from the oven and grill pan. The bed was comfy, which was a plus. The outside was a bit grimy, including the windows, but the location was brilliant-really secluded and peaceful. We loved relaxing on the decking after giving the chairs and table a quick wipe, watching ducks, geese and rabbits doing their thing. Overall, not perfect, but we enjoyed it!

We stayed at this lovely, well-kept lodge and found it really comfortable. The place was spotless and we enjoyed our stay overall. However, the WiFi was a bit of a letdown - advertised as free, but only for one person, which was a bit annoying since we needed more connectivity. Also, there were no instructions for setting up the sofa bed or operating the heating, which caused some hassle. It would be handy to have more info about the park’s facilities inside the lodge, especially since relying on online info isn’t ideal when the WiFi isn’t great. Still, a nice spot!

We really enjoyed the location, it’s a beautiful spot, but the roads do need some fixing - those potholes are a bit of a pain. The lodge itself was lovely and we felt it was good value for the weekend. Sadly, the outside hot tub lights didn’t work and despite reporting it, no one came to fix it, which was disappointing. Also, the lodge sleeps 7 but only has 4 chairs, so we couldn’t all sit together for meals, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, overall, a nice stay!

Honestly, this place was a bit of a nightmare when we arrived. The cleanliness was shocking-there were still clothes hanging on the towel rails and the toilets were sticky and gross. We definitely felt like the cleaners never gave the place a proper scrub. We did call about the heating pretty quickly because we couldn’t find the thermostat and there were other issues like wobbly toilets and a hole in the carpet with exposed grippers, which was dangerous with young kids around. We were told someone would come to fix things, but after five days, no one showed up. So, we ended up spending our morning cleaning ourselves, which was frustrating. It’s a shame because the place itself could be nice, but it’s clear they don’t take pride in maintaining it. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re expecting a clean and well-kept space.

Honestly, our last day was pretty disappointing. We lifted the mattress in the bunk room and found mould on the carpet, which was not great at all. Our 2-year-old was already unwell, with a cough and cold, so discovering this was really unfortunate. Not what we expected!

We had a decent time overall, but navigating the site was a bit of a nightmare. The facilities are quite far from where we stayed and we often got lost trying to find our way around. The indoor pool was pretty chilly too and there wasn’t much entertainment. We spent most days off-site.

Honestly, we found this place a bit hit or miss. From a distance, it looks quite nice, but up close, it’s a different story. The soft furnishings were pretty grubby and the floor was disgusting when we arrived - we had to clean it ourselves, which wasn’t ideal. We also struggled with the park WiFi; it just wouldn’t connect at all. The remote controls for the TVs were missing backs, so the batteries kept falling out - a real hazard with our little one around. On the plus side, the bedrooms were decent and the bed in the main room was comfy and clean. Bathrooms were in good shape too. Facilities were pretty limited and we had a bit of a mishap with the laundrette, as a missing item was left behind. The evening entertainment for our daughter was a real highlight, though, so we made the most of it. Still, we probably wouldn’t come back again.

We had a pretty good stay overall. The staff at reception and maintenance were really friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. There were a few maintenance issues that should’ve been caught during cleaning, but nothing too major. Some of the roads could do with fixing-lots of potholes and drainage problems, probably from the flooding. We’d stay again!

Honestly, we really don’t know where to start with this place. Our holiday was pretty much a disaster from the get-go. The staff at reception were incredibly rude and unhelpful; we asked multiple times about our Wi-Fi, but it never got sorted and no one ever came to check it out. The lodge had a stunning view, but that was about it. They advertised a private fishing spot, but no one was fishing in the lake at all. Plus, the park is really close to a military base, so we had jet plane exercises happening constantly-at least five or six times a day-and it was so loud, it made relaxing impossible. The roads are a nightmare - only enough space for one car and terrible speed bumps. The pool was freezing and don’t even get me started on the dust and cobwebs in the lodge. Honestly, we were very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it. Please save yourself the trouble!

Fab site. So much to do. Food nice at restaurant. (Bit pricey). Only let down, some staff vert helpful. But some were so disinterested in trying to help, basic customer service lacking. But overall great place to go, whether for quiet or active break.

All in all an enjoyable break my only issue is night time entertainment wasn’t very good. Last drinks at 9.30pm wasn’t really feeling like a holiday.
