We really enjoyed our stay! The place was spot on - lovely comfy accommodation and plenty of nearby pubs and eateries within a short stroll. The dog loved the endless fields and off-road walks, didnt want to leave!

We had a lovely stay at the lodge! The place was well-equipped and exceeded our expectations given the price. The views were stunning and it really felt like we had the whole area to ourselves-perfect for a relaxing weekend. The only minor grumbles: the couches could have been more comfy and the hot tub wouldnt go above 37.5 degrees, which was a bit disappointing. Still, overall, it was a great experience and wed definitely return. Definitely recommend for a chilled getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodges setting is absolutely stunning and Duncan was so welcoming and helpful throughout. Even though the pubs were shut, we found some lovely takeaways just a short drive away. The hot tub was spotless and added a real touch of luxury. No WiFi wasnt an issue with the strong 4G connection. Great experience!

The owners are genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, without intruding on your privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - absolute bliss! Just a heads up, the cottage is under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth knowing. Overall, a fantastic place for a quiet getaway!

We stayed at this charming cottage recently and honestly, its got everything you could possibly need. We didnt have to bring much because the place is super well-equipped. The welcome pack was thoughtful, with all the info and menus, which saved us a lot of hassle. The owners, Sharon and Rob, are really quick to respond if you have any questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was a real treat after a day out. Thanks for a lovely break - well definitely be back!

Weve been coming back to the Heart of Wales Lodges for a couple of years now. Our last visit was in 2021, after having to postpone our 2020 trip because of the pandemic-luckily, everything was smooth. The lodges are always spotlessly clean, which we really appreciate. Duncan was lovely, greeting us at 5pm with the keys and checking in on us during a particularly stormy week. Weve recommended it to friends and family whove also booked and everyone agrees-its a lovely place to stay and well worth it!

Absolutely loved the trip, the scenery was breathtaking and made for a perfect escape!

We stayed in this lovely, well-equipped house and it was perfect for a cosy December getaway. The warmth of the place was much appreciated, especially on those rainy days! The bath was fantastic and the shower was spacious. The location is great if you're travelling with dogs-no fireworks to worry about. The house is beautifully converted and peaceful. Thanks a lot for a great stay!

We had such a great weekend here! The place totally delivered on what we were after and were already planning to return. Our dogs had an absolute blast with the underfloor heating and running around the garden. Luna even wagged her tail so much she strained it, but shes fine now. Everyone left happy, pups and humans alike!

We had a lovely stay at this good place! The cottage sits on a working farm but is surprisingly private and peaceful. Robert and Sharon are such warm, welcoming hosts. The place is really spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped. The bed was super comfy, which is always a plus. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely dog-proof and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!

We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we could think of, really well stocked. The hosts made us feel so welcome and even though its on a working farm, its such a peaceful spot. Loved it!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy lodge! Its super clean and feels like a real home from home. The private hot tub in its own garden was perfect for relaxing and star gazing at night. The bed was comfy and the shower was excellent. Plus, having a washer and dryer meant no washing to lug home. We definitely recommend visiting Ellan Valley nearby - its stunning. This place was just what we needed to start the new year fresh. Well be back!

We had a great time! The peaceful atmosphere and the hot tub were just what we needed. The area is quiet with not much to do, but thats exactly what we wanted for a relaxing break. Only two lodges, so no worries about noisy neighbours either!

If you're after peace and quiet, this place is perfect. Only two lodges nestled in a serene spot overlooking the valley and moors-ideal for chilling out and unwinding completely.

We really felt at home in the lodge, its cosy and inviting. My only tiny gripe was the mattress being a bit soft for my back, but overall, it was a lovely stay!

Had a lovely stay with my partner! The place really made our honeymoon special and weve already talked about returning for a weekend getaway soon.

A lovely secluded lodge in beautiful countryside. Totally secure for any size dog and a wonderful hot tub. Lots of lovely walks a short drive away and enjoyed the boatlake at Llandrindod Wells.
All friendly welcome on arrival too.

Absolutely just what we were looking for. Huge lodge in the middle of nowhere. Only two lodges on site.
Everything absolutely spotless.
Duncan couldn’t have been any more helpful with daily visits to service the hot tub and six fresh eggs waiting in the fridge for us on arrival.

Absolutely amazing place.

Third time staying here. Have booked for 7 days in 2023. A very relaxing holiday. Very clean and hot tub checked every day by owner, who is very friendly. Even our dog loves his holiday here.

If you want a escape from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place to pick. The lodge it’s self is first class with lots of space comfortable beds and a fantastic hot tub we’ll definitely be booking again. Highly recommend 5 stars

It’s by far the most beautiful lodge me and my partner have stayed in.

With there being only 2 lodges at the place, it is so quiet and private you cannot beat it.

The location itself has beautiful views and is very quiet, but there isn’t an awful lot to do unless you travel. But we went for a relaxing holiday so not having things to do was not an issue for us personally.

The lodge is fully equipped with everything, some bathroom products such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash would have been appreciated but with COVID this may have been the reason for their absence

I have recommended (and will continue to recommend) this lodge to lots of family and friends and hopefully me and my boyfriend will return at some point in the future.
