Set within 50 acres of parkland with an incredible 20 acres of lakes and lagoons, Bosworth Lakeside Lodges offers guests a diverse range of water and non water-based recreational activities and is an exceptional base from which to explore the many nearby leisure attractions, market towns and cultural landmarks.

Guests have exclusive access to all facilities on and off the water.

From challenging the family to a round of crazy golf, racing each other across the lake on paddleboards or canoes, taking a family ride on the pedalos, enjoying a spot of fishing or exploring the family play area, those seeking to make the most of their time on site will be spoiled for choice.

No works are taking place beyond the secondary barrier meaning the enjoyment of the Drake and Mallard Lodges are unaffected.

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around in freely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and we even fired up the BBQ one evening. The hot tub was just brilliant! We’d definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely break!

We had an amazing weekend stay here! The place totally met all our expectations and we’re already planning to come back. Our dogs had a blast - especially with the underfloor heating, they were cosy all weekend. Luna even wagged her tail so much she strained it! Definitely a hit for both pups and humans alike. Our stay at Goddard Mead was fantastic. The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The hosts were genuinely lovely, making us feel very welcome throughout our visit!

We stayed here for a week in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was lovely. The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself is really cosy - the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the hot weather when it was cooled down for a refreshing dip. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day. Being near Stansted's flight path was actually quite fun - watching the planes land was pretty cool. We’d definitely come back!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The cottage is tucked away in a peaceful spot, perfect for winding down. The hot tub was a real highlight and the place was spotless with everything we could possibly need. Plenty of walks nearby too. Highly recommend!

The cabin was really spacious with a lovely layout and the bed was super comfy. The rooms felt cosy, which we loved. Only downside was the TV - it had limited channels - and the WiFi was pretty weak, so we had to rely on our data. Guess we weren't there for the telly anyway!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and really well stocked, making everything hassle-free. The dog walks right outside were perfect for our furry friends. The host was super friendly and quick to reply, which made everything easier. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real treat. We’ll definitely return - great value for money!
