Castle Brake Holiday Park

We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage! It’s really well equipped, we didn’t need to bring anything and the welcome pack was a nice touch with all the info and menus. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs to run around freely and they loved it. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - so relaxing! Huge thanks to Sharon and Rob for the little extras for us and the pups. They were quick to reply whenever we had questions. Definitely a great place for a peaceful break!

We found the place really clean and comfortable. The wide shower was a highlight! The twin bed was a bit tight for my partner and the WiFi wasn't always reliable, but overall, it was a good stay.

We just got back from a wonderful week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we could possibly want and the hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful little retreat. Really loved it!

The place is really well looked after and the location is quite peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the WiFi was frustratingly slow and patchy at times. Still, we enjoyed our stay!

The cabin was pretty comfy with all the modern stuff you’d want and super clean. There was a bit of a musty smell, probably from not being used much during Covid and the main bathroom had a strange toilet odour. Not too bad though!

We recently stayed in this caravan and honestly, it was quite a pleasant experience. The size is generous and super comfy, with some thoughtful touches like the well-placed cooker hood and a smoke alarm positioned away from the cooking area-little things that make a difference. The beds are at just the right height, so no need for extra mattresses and they were really cosy; we slept soundly every night. The double glazing and central heating meant we stayed warm without fuss. Only downside was the main W.C., which was pretty grim and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly and one bedroom had a bit of a stinky smell. Still, overall, we’d stay again!

We loved the peaceful rural setting, it’s really lovely. The courtyard with the slated stones was charming and the hot tub made it feel really special. Perfect for exploring the countryside.

Next time, we’ll definitely pick a place closer to the beach and ensure food and drinks are available all day. It’s just more convenient for us!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making everything feel special. The cottage is adorable with its charming half-timbered look and the shower is surprisingly powerful. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made us feel right at home. Parking right next to the cottage is a real bonus and it’s spotlessly clean. We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is just a short drive away with its pretty half-timbered houses and windmill. Absolutely recommend!

Great welcome from Lee. Nothing too much trouble. Fabulous field for exercising dogs or going for a picnic. Peaceful.

Very enjoyable experience, the welcome was amazing and very helpful with knowledge of best places to eat etc. It was so good we have already booked for next year.

Clean quiet site with helpful friendly staff. Good location , peaceful. Lodges are nice, modern and great bedding. Our issue was WI-FI which didn’t work for us and a couple of niggles in the lodge such as blunt utensils and tv not working properly. Would return.

Great spacious caravan, nice private pitch. Very nice and helpful staff. Very peaceful and relaxing holiday but close enough to all the resorts Highly recommended.

We stayed in a mobile home with excellent facilities for the disabled and we were very happy and comfortable. Castle Break has helpful and charming staff in Reception. The site was quiet, the weather was hot and the sunsets amazing. You We would be really happy to return.

a lovely holiday park, close to lots of seaside towns to visit. We do not need lots of facilities on park so definitely will visit again
