Visitor Reviews of Florence Springs Glamping

Emma, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 14th April 2025
We had a lovely week at the treehouse in Florence Springs. The place was great, though a little playground for the kids would’ve been a nice touch. The staff really made us feel welcome, super helpful all round. The location is spot on, just a short drive to Tenby with plenty for families nearby. We truly enjoyed our stay!

We had a pretty decent holiday overall. The site was lovely and we were particularly wowed by the Safari tent - it really made our stay special. Of course, weather can be a bit unpredictable and we hit 65 mph winds plus heavy rain on the last night, which was a bit off-putting. Still, the tent held up well, just a loud night’s sleep! The wood burner was a nice touch and kept us warm, which was much appreciated. On the downside, the oven and cooker were a tad underpowered, especially if you're cooking for a big group; not a huge issue for us since we ate out mostly. An electric kettle would’ve been a nice upgrade from the gas hob, which took ages to boil. The Gas BBQ was a cracking addition and we made good use of it. All in all, a good trip with some room for improvements!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and it was such a lovely experience. Rob and Sharon put so much effort into restoring this historic building and it really shows. They greeted us warmly and Bonnie was adorable too. The location is perfect for exploring Essex-lots of charming villages and interesting sights nearby. The place has everything you need for a comfy, relaxing stay. Definitely recommend taking some time to wander around Thaxted and other spots in the area!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. Robert and Sharon are such warm, welcoming hosts. The place is super spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn’t want to leave. The garden’s a real gem-completely private, dog-proof and with nice furniture. There are plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out in Thaxted-The Star and The Maypole are definitely worth a visit. Overall, we’d highly recommend it!

We stayed in this lovely house and loved how well equipped it was. It was super cosy and warm, which was perfect for the rainy December weather. The bath was fantastic and the shower was spacious. Being on a flight path didn’t bother us at all, so don’t worry about that! Perfect spot for dogs that hate fireworks, out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a lot!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all the boxes for us. Our dogs were especially happy with the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail non-stop, so much that she strained it! Definitely planning to come back. Great spot, happy pups and owners all round!

We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was lovely. The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself was really cosy. The hot tub was definitely a highlight, especially with the weather so hot-cool water never felt so good! The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel really welcome. It was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day, adding a bit of local charm. Yes, it’s on the flight path near Stansted, but honestly, I enjoyed watching the planes come in. Would happily come back!

We had a great stay overall! The yurt was super spacious and private, perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic, though it did take a while to heat up, which was a bit of a hassle. The staff were really helpful whenever we needed a hand. Only small thing - we had to be careful with our food since a cheeky squirrel kept trying to nab stuff that wasn’t in a lidded box. Still, loved it!

We had an amazing stay at Florence Springs in our yurt! Waking up and unwinding each day in the woodfire hot tub was just perfect. The place had everything we needed and the outdoor shower was a nice touch. The staff were lovely and we were so happy to bring our dog along. Can't wait to return! Thanks a lot!

Loved every minute of it, will definitely be back again.
Jennifer
Lovely quiet surroundings. The Woodland hideaway was so nice and cosy. My favourite was the garden area, hot tub fire pit and outdoor cooking area had every thing we needed for a perfect getaway.
Carly
Great holiday, enjoyed by all the family. Really great experience with great helpful staff. The tree house could of been a little cleaner on arrival. Under chopping board were stinky and dirty and sticky stuff (spilt drink) on the floor. But over all a great holiday, thank you
Kate
Stunning accommodation
Courtney
Lovely site. Staff were very friendly. Yurt was very clean as were the shower facilities. Good location, lots to do in the local area. Absolutely loved our mini moon here and would certainly come back
Lorna
So peaceful and staff always on hand if needed and discreetly out of the way if not. The yurt had everything we needed, very well equipped and comfy bed. Made use of the hot tub every evening. We had amazing weather during our week.
James
Glamping was excellent, the site itself is purely for glamping and thus no other facillities e.g kids park/shop but these can be found next door via 5min walk Location was ideal for all of Pembrokeshire and Tenby
Kulbinder
Lovely experience, we had a great time and loved how relaxing our space was. The hot tub was the cherry on top!
Susan
The tree house surpassed all our expectations. Well appointed, very comfortable, the kids loved the slide and the hot tub. The setting is beautiful and the accommodation is nicely spaced out so it felt secluded. Nice to have the option of the shower block a short walk away as well as the outdoor facilities by the tree house. We would love to return. Thanks to all the staff for keeping everything clean and well run.
Stuart
Location and surroundings brilliant, facilities really good and staff more than helpful with anything we needed
