Mattress on double bed should be upgraded. There was some damage to kitchen and bathroom cupboard doors which was reported to reception as soon as we arrived.

Date of stay: 23rd May 2025
We arrived for a 3 night break from Friday to Monday and was looking forward to the weekend as we had upgraded our accommodation to the olive 2 caravan with outdoor decking and picnic bench. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly receptionist and told where our caravan was. Our caravan was right next to the bar and grill which wasn’t ideal as we had groups of people constantly being noisy outside our caravan. The caravan itself was not very well equipped, a very small tv, lack of basic cutlery and very bare inside, bed was comfortable and the shower was great though. We was expecting wrap around decking and we had an end bit with double doors onto it, no picnic table either. The caravan next door was empty and for sale and there was a large side decking area just abandoned next to our caravan. We did have a nice walk to Stanhope down the river, not much there to do though. Overall we were very disappointed with our ‘upgrade’ and would not be returning.

Really enjoyed our visit! The cottage was lovely and well-equipped, making it feel like a home from home. Will return!

Date of stay: 5th May 2025
The caravan was lovely overall, but we really struggled with the lack of hooks-no way to hang coats, towels, or anything else easily! Still, a nice place.

Date of stay: 1st May 2025
Overall, we had a great stay in the caravan - it was really comfy, spacious and well-equipped. We did notice a couple of things that could be sorted out to make things even better. For instance, there was no easy spot inside to hang our jackets, hats and rain gear, which was a bit of a hassle. Also, the hot water was way too hot; it was scalding and honestly quite dangerous. Definitely needs lowering to a safer level. Still, we’d come back!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! It’s really well equipped - we didn’t need to bring anything and our car was overloaded trying to fit everything in! The welcome pack was full of useful info and menus, which made settling in so easy. The little extras for our dogs and us were a nice touch. The enclosed garden was perfect for the pups and the hot tub was just brilliant after a long day. Sharon and Robe were quick to respond to any questions. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely friendly and very helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. The place itself is beautifully kept, with a cosy vibe and spotlessly clean rooms. The shower is powerful and the bed was super comfy, which made for great nights’ sleep. Parking right outside was a real bonus and we enjoyed some lovely walks in the surrounding fields and around Thaxted. Definitely recommended!

We had an amazing stay! The owners were genuinely lovely and super helpful from start to finish. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and the shower was surprisingly powerful-rare find! It’s so cosy inside and the bed was really comfy, which made sleeping a breeze. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus and the place was spotless. Perfect base for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages. We’ll definitely be back!

We loved this cosy little cottage! It’s nicely tucked away, so it feels private but still close enough to local shops and cafes. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating kept everything super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie really made us feel welcome. Can’t wait to return!

Date of stay: 13th January 2025
We had a lovely week at Heather View and definitely plan on coming back. Everything about the site and accommodation was spot on - no complaints there. The only tiny thing we noticed was the lack of coat hooks, which would’ve been handy, especially since our coats were often wet. It’s not a big deal, just a helpful addition. Also, it might be worth considering recycling options instead of mixing everything into general waste. Overall though, a great stay and we really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to return someday!

We had such a lovely weekend stay! The place was perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating-such a hit! The garden was great for them too. Luna’s tail was wagging non-stop all weekend; she even hurt it a bit! Overall, a really enjoyable trip for us and the pups.

Date of stay: 19th November 2024
We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage! Honestly, we brought way too much stuff because the place is so well equipped, we didn’t need to bring half of it. The welcome pack was really useful, packed with all the info and menus you could want. The little touches for our dogs and us made it extra special. Rob and Sharon were quick to respond whenever we had questions. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs and the hot tub was such a treat. Thanks for a great break!
Matthew
A great park! Very quiet and very friendly everywhere you go. Picturesque walks along the river into the village too. Only down side is the breakfast was poor and the bars expensive but it wouldn’t put me off returning ?
Soufia
Everything about it was excellent.I would definitely recommend it.We had a great time.I have already recommended it to friends.
Richard
well kept site very clean and comfortable caravan good entertainment and food
Helen
Lovely staff friendly as soon as we arrived , site well maintained and caravan was spotlessly clean had everything we required with nice touches . Only negative was the cleanliness of the bar area tables outside were dirty , staff didn’t acknowledge and it wasn’t busy . Other point we would like to make we had a lovely picnic bench outside the caravan but unable to use due to flies from the dog waste bin and rubbish / recycling area next to our caravan .
Francis
very peaceful park. Great restaurant and bar.
Tracey
Stunning Place, beautiful walks local to town.
Jemima
Excellently maintained grounds. Friendly staff, very quiet. 3 parks which were excellent for all ages of children, particularly under 12s. Shop very basic but covered what we needed. Bar/restaurant food simple and filled a hole! Would visit again. Caravan was immaculate. Very new and super comfy. Ash Grove 9
Kevin
Excellent location for exploring the area. Very relaxing and chilled Park with all the required facilities nearby. Also, plenty of options to get active too; Mountain biking, swimming, walking, etc. Kids were impressed with the park and wildlife. Def would return.
Rodney
We had a fabulous week at this lovely caravan park. Second time we have been and it wont be the last. Its a lovely quiet site. The site is well kept and clean. Our Caravan was spotless and had everything we needed. Cannot comment on the on site pub and restaurant as we didnt use them.Cant wait to go back.
Anne
Lovely park and surrounding area, ground staff are always working to keep the park spotless, only concern was the music coming from the entertainment center,we could hear it in our caravan which was a couple of streets away , thankfully it was only on Friday and Saturday and stops about 10.30 ,the area near reception would be quieter
Alan
Lovely park Very well kept. Spot on caravan. New and clean Great value for money.
Dawn
