We stayed in the Chestnut No 1 lodge. It is a new facility with a hot tub.The lodge was very clean and well equipped. Good heating if required. The only issue was that the television in the main bedroom did not work at all which was very disappointing and took the edge off the break re relaxation. Also the large television in the lounge was a smart TV which often froze due to poor signal. The on site staff are very friendly and helpful and stated they were trying to address the signal issues. Not a great issue but knocks the edge off your early morning and late evening viewing. The kitchen is well equipped and good size fridge and freezer and wine cooler. If going west from the site it's better to take the back road to Brough, turn left at the clock and it avoids you crossing the A66 which you can join just under the bridge.Handy for the Lakes and Dales.20 mins to Penrith, 1 hour to Keswick or Windermere to the Dales and Hawes

Lovely stay at The Pines lodge.Loved the wildlife, very quiet (could hear some road noise but not when inside the lodge).Lodge a bit dated but everything worked well.

A great location and a really nice lodge. Also, a nice quiet site although could do with a little shop on site for essentials. Only negative we found- some of the crockery and cutlery was dirty- obviously due to previous guests but I feel the cleaners should check this between guests. We had to clean it all prior to using anything. Other than that; it was all great.

The location is beyond 5-star, and the friendly welcome second to none.An excellent base to explore the Eden Valley and the North Pennines. Not many shopping / eating facilities in Brough, but the larger towns of Appleby and Kirkby Stephen are very close by.The pod is very compact - next time we'll look at a larger cabin.

Some aspects of the lodge are showing their age but no real detriment.

Great accommodation for the price and a beautiful place to chill out. Bed wasn’t the best but it is a pod, some help in setting them up ie a picture would make it a quicker process. Would highly recommend Augill Beck to anyone and we will be returning again for sure.

A really lovely break away. A great base for exploring the Lakes.Compact, but exceptionally clean accommodation that was suitable for our little family (3 adults & 1 child). We made the sleeping arrangements work for us.The kitchen again was compact, but despite that we managed to prepare meals and eat out in the brilliant sunshine on the spacious decked area. A special little place enjoyed by all of us. Missing it already.

We had a lovely time at Augill Beck. We stayed in the Sycamore and it had everything we needed, very spacious and quiet. A nice little walk down to a pond and the stream on site as well as a play park. The site manager was incredibly helpful. Our car broke down on the journey there so we was without it for a day and walked into Brough which was about 30 mins, there is a shop and pub there, another 10 mins down the road there are castle ruins and a lovely little cafe

The lodge was perfect for us, spacious and spotlessly clean. We did notice some traffic noise from the road, but honestly, it became just background noise after a while. Overall, a lovely stay!

The lodge had everything we needed, was spacious and clean. You do hear the traffic from the road but it wasn't something that bothered us really and was just like white noise in the end.

We spent a few nights here for a birthday getaway. The lodge was well-equipped and the welcome pack was a thoughtful surprise. Watching the deer and rabbits around the park was such a lovely sight. We’d happily come back!

The pod is really well kitted out, but the upstairs mattress could be thicker.

Date of stay: 23rd March 2025
We had a really nice stay at this lodge. The location is super private, which was perfect for some peace and quiet. The hot tub was a lovely touch and added to the relaxing vibe. The place was generally clean when we arrived, just a few marks here and there, which is pretty normal with regular use. The kitchen had everything we needed and we used it a lot. The only downside was the bed - it wasn’t the comfiest, but it didn’t ruin our trip. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Date of stay: 23rd March 2025
Well pleased with the pretty private location of the lodge and hot tub was lovely, up to a good standard of cleanliness when arrived with a few marks and blemishes around which is expected with regular use..Good kitchen facilities which we made full use of, the only problem that we found was that the main bed and mattress wasn't the most comfortable but it didn't spoil our lovely stay in this lodge so would definitely recommend for getting away for a peaceful break....

We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It's really spacious and in a great spot with easy access to explore the area. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, especially the hand wash and shower gel, which made us feel special. Seeing roe deer and rabbits right outside was a real bonus. The mattress was a bit soft for our liking, but overall, we enjoyed it!
