Fun Days Out in Cumbria

Lake District Wildlife Park

Both children and adults will enjoy a day out here where you can see over 100 species of animals including Zebras and Antelope.  At set times you can go an see Birds of Prey flying displays as well as Zoo Keeper Presentations which are educational as well as fun. If the weather is not on your side then you can make the most of the indoor heated play area and modern cafe.  Located at Coalbeck Farm in Cumbria we think this is a must for families...

Ullswater Steamers

A trip to Cumbria wouldn't be complete without a cruise on the lake and what better way to do this than on an Ullswater Steamer.  Ullswater is widely regarded as the most beautiful of all of the lakes in the area.  This award winning attraction has been in business for 150 years and currently has four vessels operating Ullswater lake cruises.  A further option is to combine a lake cruise with some of the most breathtaking walks in the area.

Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery

Open daily all year round.

Lakeland's Wildlife Oasis
Lakeland's Wildlife Discovery Centre is the perfect place for a fun day out which is also educational. The unique centre offers visitors the chance to explore many species of exotic wildlife through interactive 'hands-on' displays. These clever displays travel through 3,000 million years of evolution from the development of life on Earth. White Cross Bay Reviews

Mr Lowes
Perfect in every way - See you there next year!
The Moore Family
We stayed at white cross bay caravan park in peak season and can honestly say it's one of the best holidays we have ever had. As it was a special occasion - my husband's 50th - we stayed in a Super deluxe lodge and were blown away by how modern and clean everything was. Have not stayed in any of the caravans but from what we saw of them they looked fine. Even though the site was busy it never felt that way with so much open space around us. We hope to go back in the near future.
Mrs J

Fully enjoyed our stay in a 3 bed caravan. Excellent site & amenities. Plenty to see & do on & offsite & ideal location for exploring the Lake District. 4 generations & elderly dog in a pram all catered for - high praise to the site staff especially Gavin who's knowledge, courteous manners and professional approach to all requests/enquiries made for a most enjoyable stay. Will definitely stay here again. Moira lynch, family & Cookie the dog......

Caravan was quite roomy and well equipped and nicely furnished. Our double bed was big enough but the beds in the single rooms were a little on the small side.
