Date of stay: 1st November 2023
Unpleasant smell in accommodation. Advised staff who simply came and sprayed air freshener, when clearly it needed further investigation to locate source. The smell remained all week so problem was never solved. We departed a day early

Clean but poorly equipped . Family of 5 with a lack of plates , spoons, glasses, no veg peeler, one frying pan . Really struggled to cook so had to go out . Some of the kitchen utensils needed replacing and the cleanliness of pans not great . This a caravan in disguise of a lodge so rooms were very small , just something to be aware of if like me you thought you were booking a lodge .

Cleanliness wasn’t as I expected considering the later check in. The floors still had food on them from previous customers and dust on surfaces. We found food under sofa too.

If you can afford 7 days then do! We stayed for 5 and wish we had stayed longer. Absolutely lovely.

The lodge was very well equipped, except we really missed having a wooden spoon and spatula for cooking! The other thing we missed was having a gate on the veranda (having young children and no barrier down to the fast moving river right next to our lodge). A lot of the other lodges had them but ours didn't, so we had to overturn the patio table and use it as a barrier. Otherwise it was very comfortable and plenty big enough for a family of four (with preschoolers).

Date of stay: 13th March 2020
Had a very relaxing time even though we had lots of rain. Lodge was very nice but cleanliness could have been better, ie underneath sofa hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Hob hadn’t been cleaned and top of wardrobe area hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Although cleanliness was a bit of an issue we would stay again to see the lovely views.

The lodge was all and more than i expected to see, i would have given 10's across the board but for me the double bed duvet was too heavy feeling not allowing me much movement. the overall cleanliness was good just details needs looking at (cobwebs around ceiling and cupboards).

When we arrived we were amazed that our lodge was ready, 2 hours before check in. We originally booked to stay in the Great Gable Lodge but was Given Patterdale Lodge instead which we believe was an upgrade as the Lodge was very luxurious and high spec and very comfortable. The views from all windows were amazing and personally I don't think there could be any bad accommodation on this park as they are all situated with stunning views across the hills and valley. This park is more about getting your walking boots on and exploring than the evening entertainment as the Hay barn inn had a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere and with limited opening times, but that is exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend this park and hope to come back in the spring/summer.

Nice large lodge that had everything in you needed. The cleanliness however was not up to scratch. It was quite dusty in places. Although this didnt bother us it would be an issue for others

The holiday park is situated in a beautiful setting, stunning views all around. It would have been nice to have some more entertainment, pool on site. The restaurant was nice but rather pricey.
Shaun
First time at this park, could not fault it, facilities on site excellent and location perfect
Gavin
Beautiful and clean park with amazing views
Emily
The most amazing stay with family! The lodge was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!!
Clare
We absolutely loved our recent stay at Limefett Park. Our lodge was perfect. So much space for our family of 5 and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking too. Mandy in the restaurant took good care of us and it was nice to hear her chat with people who return several times a year to Limefett Park. The kids loved the play Park and running around in the sports field. While the centre doesn't offer a pool or 'entertainment' we felt that we didn't miss out on anything and enjoyed our family time playing games, chatting and exploring. With lots of places to visit nearby (most places we visited where within a 45 drive) it was a great base and offered so many great attractions.
ROSEMARY
Spent a lovely relaxing week at Limefitt. Had no problems whatsoever with accommodation, it was excellent, but there appeared to be adequate maintenance staff on site to quickly sort anything if necessary. The park is set in beautiful surroundings with easy access to local attractions if you have a car. Bus stop near site entrance with regular public transport and two nice pubs within easy walking distance. We used the Haybarn pub on site nearly every day for food or just drinks and the views from the beer garden are lovely. The site itself is well maintained and has a little shop stocked for essentials. It's very quiet but that suited us perfectly. I would definitely recommend and would happily book and stay there again.
Teresa
Relaxing holiday lodge was lovely views are beautiful, hay barn lovely food and staff pleasant.
Francis
Limefitt park is in beautiful settings the views are amazing our caravan (pinewood 18 ) was brilliant. the onsite pub-restaurant was good value and all the staff were really helpful and friendly i have recommended this site to friends and family
Chris
A perfect location for touring the area and some great walks both in the area and nearby. The accommodation was clean and provided plenty of facilities for cooking and relaxing at night. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
Array
Amazing surroundings. So peaceful, fantastic dog park, beautiful beck running through the site. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but are in close distance of many places to visit and amenities. Highly recommend.
