Flusco Wood

We absolutely love this holiday park! It’s perfect for dog owners like us, super welcoming and friendly. The lodges are stunning-so modern and spotless. The views of Blencathra are breathtaking, especially at sunset. It’s peaceful here, just a short drive to Pooley Bridge and Keswick. We’ve already booked our third trip and can’t wait to come back again soon! Definitely a place we’ll keep returning to.

Nice place, had all we needed, very clean!

We had such a lovely time at Flusco Wood in the Lake District. The on-site facilities were spot on-clean, well-kept and just right for relaxing. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially Cliff, who made sure we knew how everything worked in the cottage. We were really lucky with the weather in March, which made our trip even better. There are some cracking walks nearby and the location is just perfect-peaceful but still close enough to visit all the main spots in the Lakes and Penrith without any hassle. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. We’d definitely recommend Flusco Wood and would love to come back sometime!

We booked this place for our honeymoon and honestly, it was fantastic. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and really comfortable - we couldn’t find a single fault. The hot tub was a real highlight and we loved that staff came to clean it every morning, which was a nice touch. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and helpful, especially when we had a little problem with the gate. The location is great too, easy to get to Pooley Bridge, Keswick and Ambleside. We had an amazing week and are already planning our return trip!

We loved the stunning scenery around the lodge, perfect for a peaceful escape. It’s pretty remote, but only about ten minutes to shops. One thing we’d suggest is adding a cover over the hot tubs - would be great in bad weather!

Comfortable beds, lovely stay

We recently stayed at Flusco Wood in the Carlton Signature Lodge and honestly, it was great! The lodge was perfect for our group - 3 adults, a little one and our 7-month-old pup - and everything inside was super comfy, making the whole stay really relaxing. The hot tub was definitely the best part; it was lovely to unwind after a day of exploring and soak in those beautiful views. The park itself was kept in top shape, nice and tidy, which made it even more pleasant. We loved the enclosed dog field - our puppy had a blast running around freely without us worrying. Only thing we’d suggest is maybe a small shop or café on site for quick snacks or essentials, that’d be handy. Overall, we had a brilliant time and would happily recommend it to anyone needing a chill escape!

We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was well-equipped with everything we needed, especially the comfy bed and two bathrooms. The smart TV, Nespresso and BOSE speaker really made it special. Loved it!

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. The beds were super comfy and it was really warm and cosy, just what we needed. The hot tub was brilliant, though a little skimmer net would’ve been handy to clear the leaves that fell in. Only issue was the remote, but they swapped it straight away. Overall, great experience!

We recently stayed at this lodge and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place is stunning and super comfy - felt like a proper home from home. Our family of four, including two teenagers, loved the twin room, which was spacious and had its own en suite, so no one was fighting over space. Plenty of storage, too. The kitchen had everything for self-catering and we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day out. The bathrooms were a good size, with a nice big shower, even if there’s no bath. The decks on both sides with tables were perfect for chillin’ outside. Overall, a great spot!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it’s pretty spacious and comfy. There are a few bits that could use some attention - like some mould in the shower and a dented door - but considering it’s a pet-friendly place, we get that it sees a lot of use. Nothing major enough to put us off coming back for sure. The lodge itself is lovely and we all had a great time. One thing we did notice was that a second set of towels would’ve been handy, especially over five days, but I’m sure if we asked, they’d sort it. Overall, a nice stay!

We’ve stayed here a few times now and honestly, this place never disappoints. The views are stunning, even better than the pictures sometimes! The ‘Lark’ cabin was perfect for us, plenty of space and total privacy for the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed and it’s just so peaceful. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at the rural lodge recently and honestly, it was quite lovely. The place was spacious and really well equipped, especially for our dogs. There were a few stains on the sofas, but nothing too bad since throws were provided. The kitchen and bathrooms were top-notch. Definitely recommend for anyone bringing pets along, we had a great time!

We’ve stayed here several times and always find it comfortable with friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back next year!

The Carlton Signature is a lovely place with lots of space and modern amenities. It doesn’t quite feel like a lodge inside, but it’s really comfortable. We’d definitely stay again!

The lodge was really cosy and had all the essentials we needed. The only thing was the hot tub - it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been and we noticed that only when we used it in daylight on Saturday afternoon. Still, overall, a good stay!

We had such a relaxing stay! The lodge felt just like being at home, with super comfy beds and plenty of hot water. The smart TV with Netflix was a nice touch and having a bath was a real treat. Definitely a great place to unwind!

We booked this trip mainly for the dog’s sake and honestly, he had a fantastic time! The area is perfect for walks; there’s a lovely trail to Greystoke right onsite, which was great for us and the pup. The hot tub was a real highlight - big enough for us to unwind peacefully while the dog roamed freely on the decking. The staff were genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome. Plus, being so close to Penrith meant we could easily grab anything extra we needed without a fuss. Overall, we had a great stay and definitely plan to return!

Lovely site, nice and peaceful with lots of places to explore close by

4 night stay Mon to Friday - family of 3. We had booked a Gobarrow lodge but were offered an upgrade to an Askham Wood lodge before we arrived. Staff very helpful and informative and check in was very quick and easy. The Park location is good only 6 miles from J40 M6 and is very well maintained and secure. Our lodge was very clean, fresh and modern and had everything we needed (and more) for our stay. The decked areas and hot tub were perfect for relaxing after long days out. We booked a Sainsburys grocery delivery to the site for 6.30pm( no issues) the nearest local convenience store is based at the Esso petrol station at the Rheged centre about 3.5 miles away - great for odd things you may have forgot to bring with you!! Places to go: Pooley Bridge/Ullswater only 5 miles away. Take the boat trip to Glenridding (not cheap) well worth it for the fantastic views. Can also try paddle boarding there with Alfresco adventure - hire board and wet suit. Dalemain House is about 5 miles away and is worth a visit, the gardens are lovely, nice tea room and really good tour guides. Rheged centre is really good, nice cafe with a good choice of food and drink. We also went to the cinema there - 2 screens and latest movies very good value for money Keswick - lovely town, lots of shops and places to eat and you can walk around Derwent water which is really nice. Flusco Wood gets a 10/10 from us.

Had a great break in a lovely lodge ( very modern and clean and with a fabulous hot tub ). We were in the Kingfisher so fairly private setting . Will be back !

We stayed In Cabin Penrith. The Cabin was spotless so was the hot tub. We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning! The dog also thoroughly enjoyed himself! Thank you ?

Initially booked the wrong accommodation wasn’t until the week before we noticed. I contacted them and they was able to change my accommodation thankfully. I would like to thank all the staff at flusco and a special thank you to Chloe. You went above and beyond.

Lovely holiday home. Very clean and comfortable. I would only say the location of the hot tub is a bit disjointed. More than enough room on the decking which would allow those using the tub to interact with those not using it.
