We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! The location is perfect-so peaceful and relaxing, with stunning views of the farm. The horses were a lovely touch and the owners were super friendly and helpful. Honestly, we’d recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, cosy getaway. Definitely coming back!

Being near the flight path didn't bother us at all, which was a relief. Perfect spot for dogs who dislike fireworks - totally peaceful. Beautifully converted property, really enjoyed our time there! The owners, Sharon and Rob, really thought of everything, from the well-stocked welcome pack to the little extras for our dogs. We had a lovely stay at this cottage on a working farm and it’s surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people. The place itself is really spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. The garden is perfect for dogs - totally secluded and with nice furniture. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some good spots to eat, like The Star and The Maypole. We’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing break!

We spent a week here in July with our two mini daschunds and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself is really cosy. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially during the hot days when the cooled water felt so refreshing. The hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. It was also nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansted’s flight path was interesting; we enjoyed watching the planes land. Would definitely stay again!

My family and myself all work full time and are rarely together, so being in the lodge together was fantastic and everything was there for a relaxing break. Stayed a 22 lazy bear it was well equipped,clean,modern, Internet fast had 5 fones .fantastic bubbly hot tub, queens head restaurant pub was 5***** plus and 5 mins drive . Want to go back but prices gone up double .
