Visitor Reviews of Burton Constable Holiday Park

Date of stay: 7th April 2024
The holiday home itself was fine and very modern which we liked. They had a tv but it was restricted in how many channels it received, it might have just needed returning bit I didn't want to do this. We took a firestick which meant we could watch what we wanted anyway as the tv had hdmi socket. Only real downside to this solution was the fact there was no WiFi and the Internet reception for myself on 3 and my wife on EE never once went above 4g with 1 bar. The main bedroom window and bathroom window didn't open although the bathroom one was on the sneck with a slight gap. No toilet brush and no mop. The main porch became very strong smelling of wet dog after the sun came out probably due to being pet friendly which I suppose you have to expect. There was an extra tv in the main bedroom which was great for night time viewing and we got around the window situation by opening the spare room door with the window wide open and the bathroom door while also opening a few windows in the front to create some fresh air flow. For the ornePrice we paid for 4 nights (under £300) I really wouldn't complain and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Date of stay: 28th February 2024
Really quiet location with picturesque views. If you have kids it’s ideal for a long weekend but not much longer as there isn’t much there for kids but I think that’s what makes it nice and quiet. Staff were really welcoming and helpful. I would Definetly go again. Could benefit from the shop on site being open as it was shut whilst we were their.

We stayed in the Ash lodge for 3 nights, the lodge was beautiful and a perfect place to stay. The office staff were very friendly upon arrival and checking in was really easy. The only negative thing we could find was that the double bed wasn’t very comfortable, other than that we are extremely happy with our stay.

The main double bed could have a better thicker mattress. All other accommodation facilities were perfect.

The lodge was excellent - full facilities, like a home from home. Little extras like the dog bone treat and kitchen pack were lovely. So comfortable and lots of space. Definitely returning.

Fantastic lodge, had everything we needed and more. Also has a dishwasher and washing machine, beautiful decking to sit outside. Would definitely recommend.

Date of stay: 26th May 2022
The doors leading out on to the decking were filthy, were dogs had jumped up at the door. Dishwasher didn't work. Not one bit of cleaning materials. Washing up liq etc. The biggest thing was no Wi-Fi. Even when you used your own from your phone the reception was awful.
Marie, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 4th May 2022
Lodge was spotless and in a lovely location. The beds are so comfy. We didn't want for anything.

Date of stay: 22nd April 2022
I found The Burton constable very quiet and peaceful, I was surprised by the size of the fishing lakes, enjoyed fishing both of them. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we were there as was the on site shop.

Definitely would go again to the place.

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!
Emma
Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!
Phoebe
Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank Read moreyou! Hide

It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!
Simon
Lovely cottage. Great location for us. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great hot tub . Lovely helpful non intrusive owners. They have it just right!
Brooke
Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm and the very curious pig penelope. Perfect escape for us and the doggos. Will definitely be back, brilliant value!! HighlRead morey recommend. Hide

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable, had a fabulous break, hot tub amazing x
Paul
Lovely location, very peaceful and relaxing with wonderful walks in the grounds of Burton Constable Hall. Staff very helpful and friendly. We didn’t try the food as it only looked like it was a takeaway and very little choice.
Sandra
We very much enjoyed our visit. The lodge was very modern and well appointed. The site was clean and well maintained, in a lovely setting and the accessibility to Burton Constable Hall was a bonus. A special mention goes to the staff who were always friendly and helpful. We would certainly holiday there again.
Karen
Brilliant location, fantastic scenery and walks, helpful friendly staff, on-site shop that had everything especially the stuff you,ve forgot ! Would also recommend Sunday lunch at the Constable arms.
Iain
The staff were amazing and dealt with our needs very fast, efficiently and very friendly. The surroundings are so calm and peaceful and would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to go into the middle of nature and just relax.
Gary
We had a super time, everything and everyone was great. We hope to be back one day.
Silvia
Nice peaceful holiday in a lovely location. Great for exploring Yorkshire with the 2 dogs. Would have been nice to have a dedicated dog walking area (off lead) on site. Dogs also not allowed in the onsite bar/club which is a problem when the weather isn't ideal.
Amanda
Beautiful place lovely walks only downside lake could be improved for fishing as this would improve saleability
