If you want to get out in the car and visit some local towns then Beverley is a lovely market town and easily accessible.  Here you will find some local shops and pubs and the place has a real sense of history about it. Hornsea is close by and has a well known factory outlet called Freeport Hornsea - great for shopping and picking up some bargains.

Choose from a few different caravan styles to suit your needs.  The Mulberry Caravan is a 12ft wide caravan with modern interior and sleeps up to 6.  There is a larger option of the Mulberry Caravan 3 which has one double and 2 twin rooms and sleeps up to 8.

Jorvik Viking Centre

This York attraction is educational as well as fun as you get to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust revealed the houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik, as it stood 1,000 years ago.  You get to travel around in a unique state of the art time capsule.  For a more realistic experience you might get a blast of smoke from the blacksmith's furnace.  It is recommended that you book ahead during school holidays as this popular attraction gets very busy.
