Visitor Reviews of Sunbeach Holiday Park

Date of stay: 2nd June 2025
We had booked a luxury caravan via the Hoseasons website, the pictures were unfortunately very misleading. They showed a lodge style caravan with large private decking area, the description also said there was a large private decking area. What we actually had was a bog standard caravan with broken concrete slabs, a used disposable bbq and rotting planks of wood dumped next to it, our large private decking area could barely fit a small table (table had been melted by disposable bbq )and 4 chairs around it, it wasn't private at all, we couldn't use it as we couldn't all fit out there. The interior was lovely, it was clean the only problem was the extractor fan vent cover was flapping constantly the whole time we were there due to the wind , which made sleeping difficult. We only went to the pool once due to it being fully booked constantly or closed due to staff issues. The children's park has lovely equipment but just full of litter. The staff weren't particularly helpful, they were either rude or confused. We wouldn't stay again and won't be booking with Hoseasons again.

When we arrived we found our caravan in an absolute poor and filthy condition. Our oven grill was covered in mould on the bottom, the oven itself was filthy with grime where it has not been cleaned!! Floor was covered in dirt and carpet was full of blonde hair! All our cooking utensils were dirty! The caravan also had a funny smell. Our bedding had a blood stain on it, and the towel that we was provided with was covered in dirt completely and also had blood stains on!! Also the bathroom cabinet was covered in toothpaste! There was also dirty socks still shoved down the sofa where it hasn’t been cleaned. As we couldn’t check in until 4 we went straight to restaurant for food as my 2 year old son was hungry, by the time we arrived back to the caravan we had no choice but to scrub the caravan clean till around 10 / 10:30 at night which really unsettled my son but I didn’t want him walking around on unclean floors!Photos I attached show unclean and mouldy oven grill and racks, pictures of towels are of after we have scrubbed floors and equipment, and a picture of the dirty towel that was provided for us and the blood stain on the bed sheets!!!We had brought food to cook in the caravan with us but despite our efforts in cleaning the oven it was still not in a good enough standard to cook in and therefore had to eat out at the restaurant every night, so this has meant the food that we originally brought with us has been wasted!!!Myself and my mother in law did report

The site and caravan were both excellent and certainly good value for money. The site is mainly on the level and grounds well maintained. The caravan was excellent, clean, well furnished and decking area a great bonus.

The staff truly made our stay special - so friendly and helpful! The caravan was super comfy and had everything we needed. Being close to the water was a real highlight, especially the sunsets. Nice beer in the bar, though it was a bit disappointing it wasn’t open every day.

We recently stayed at the caravan and there are a few things worth mentioning. Firstly, the storage space is quite generous, which was handy for our belongings. The caravan itself feels quite modern and we found it surprisingly warm during the day but cool enough at night, though we did struggle a bit with the boiler - tried to fiddle with it but no luck. We quickly learned to keep an extra blanket handy! When we arrived, the dishwasher was full, but I assume that’s just how it’s left after previous guests; still, the dishes inside were still dirty, so we had to wash them by hand, which was a bit of a pain. We were a bit surprised by the seating arrangements - there were only three seats, including a stool, which isn’t really enough for four people, especially with children. We asked about extra chairs, but unfortunately, none were delivered. Also, the check-out process was a bit confusing - we were told to put all linen in a bag, but no bags were provided. Not to mention, there were no towels or hand soap, which caught us off guard. Overall, the experience was mixed, mainly due to the seating and some little things like the dish situation. Probably won’t stay again because of the seating setup, especially since eating out was the only option for us with kids around!

The staff were superb - very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The caravan was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Any issues were dealt with swiftly. We loved being near the water - great sunsets too. Good beer in the bar, shame it wasn't open all week.

Plenty of storage in the caravan. Modern. Very warm in the day, very cool at night, tried to work out on boiler, but to no avail. By 2nd night we knew to have an extra blanket at the ready! On arrival the dishwasher was full and needed emptying, not an issue as I presume the cleaners stick whatever is out in to clean from previous guests. However the dishes were still dirty, so I had to wash by hand. Despite a lot of pots and pans available for cooking, there were only 3 seating areas (one being a stool) available. (Not great for 4 people) We did chase this up, yet no extra chair was delivered. We checked what was required for us to do at check out and we were told to place all linen in a bag, this was not provided.I was surprised at lack of towels or hand soaps, but i think this is my naïvity of what to expect at one of these parks. Don't think I'll return due to the seating situation (had to eat out as didn't fancy eating on a sofa with carpet around with young children!)Having to do someone elses dishes on arrival also wasn't ideal!

We really enjoyed our stay! The place had everything we needed - dishwasher, iron, ironing board, hoover and all the kitchen stuff, plus a full-sized fridge freezer. The big TV was a lovely surprise. The walk-around decking with table and chairs was perfect for relaxing. Definitely a highlight in North Wales!

We recently stayed in this nearly new caravan and honestly, it was lovely. The decor and condition were top-notch. The only bit that was a bit annoying was the wardrobe drawers-way too shallow, so we couldn’t fit much in. It would’ve been great to have two toilets, maybe an en suite in the double room, so Nana and Grandad could get ready without rushing. Storage in the bathroom and toilet area could definitely be improved; there’s just no space for toilet bags. Also, the towel ring placement in the toilet was a bit odd-it’s right next to the washbasin, better on the left side where there’s free wall space. Still, we managed and overall had a good stay!

The caravan was almost new & lovely. Only downside was wardrobe drawers a bit too shallow to get much in. Two toilets would have been a nice touch - maybe an en suite in the double room so nana & grandad could get ready in relative calm but nevertheless we all managed. More storage in the bathroom & toilet would be good as nowhere to put toilet bags with current layout. Towel ring in toilet badly placed right up to washbasin- would have been better on the left side as this was a free wall. Some storage could have gone on this wall too.

We found the caravan super comfy, especially the mattresses which meant no back pain at all. The pillows were really plush, like heaven! The only downside was the pet-friendly smell, which was a bit off-putting. We had to buy some electric fragrance and keep the windows open. Apart from that, it was great value for money!

We really appreciated how tidy and well-equipped the caravan was. Despite the odd chilly morning, it was simple to warm up with just a flick of a switch. The beds were super comfy and the bedding was spot on. Overall, a great stay!

Park fine unfortunately we hit bad weather for 6 days out of our 7 and very little to do in bad weather in area
Claire
The holiday was nice and relaxing. The caravan was 6months old and cleaned to a high standard. We went when the kids are at school so it was nice and quite. I would recommend going if you want a quite retreat.
Susan
Beautiful site with amazing views
Jennifer
The only thing that left the park wanting, was the beach otherwise fantastic
Kelly
A fantastic holiday park set in a stunning location. We loved the views of the mountains and the fact we could walk 2 minutes and be on the beach. The caravan was so much nicer than I was expecting and the swimming pool and bar were great too. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would definitely consider staying here again.
Shirley
Visited for a 3 night break with our 4,2and 12 year old grandchildren. The caravan was fabulous and spotless, in fact, the whole site was and very well maintained. The swimming pool was brilliant. The beach is just rocks which at first spoilt it fo me but a sandy beach is not far away and the kids enjoyed crabbing so I got used to it. The staff are outstanding nothing was to much trouble and all very friendly. A big thank you to you all. The only negative was although signs saying dogs on leads people were letting them run around on the rocks this needs addressing. I would highly recommend this site and in fact I came home and booked again for next year.
J
Location was beautiful with lovely hill views. Beach, only a very short walk from caravan, was very quiet whenever we visited. Indoor pool was a good size and also quiet. Caravan was a good size, very clean and well equipped. It’s a quiet site but that’s what we wanted! Would certainly recommend!
Douglas
Value for money. Caravan was lovely and spotless on arrival. Very quiet site with lots of great scenery to explore. Staff keep the site very clean and well managed. Only gripe would be there was no chef on Wednesday and Thursday evening so the food choice was limited.
Jenny
We had a lovely stay at sun beach. Caravan had everything we needed. Plenty of things for children to do. The beach is pebbly and very difficult to walk down to the water but we went out for a drive to the beach one day. 20 minutes drive to Abwrdyfi beach and it was so lovely. Not really any shops locally to buy things from so we took all our food with us and ate in the restaurant one of the nights. The ladies on the reception are very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely time and would definitely return :)
Zbn
No complaints at all. The most beautiful getaway. If you like remote locations. This should be one.
Mohammad
Everything is awesome, only need to mention There no shop open after 6pm in 20 miles
