Fabulous lodge, very comfortable and everything you need had been thought of and supplied. It is definitely a luxury lodge. Great location with lovely views and walking into Lauder was very easy through the castle grounds. Loved that the decking was enclosed and also for the hot tub. Hot tub was great and easy to check ourselves each day. Very easy to get to Edinburgh and a visit to Kelso and Floors Castle were great days out.

Only negatives were the gate in hot tub area and fencing has quite large spacing so small dogs not secure enough.

Honestly, these lodges are something special. We’ve stayed in quite a few, but this one tops the lot. The place was spotless and felt so homely, with little touches like coffee and tea canisters, plus biscuits and milk ready for us. The hot tub was such a treat after a day out. And the pillows? Seriously comfy-best I’ve ever slept on! Plenty of towels and the laundry stuff was handy too. We’re already planning our next visit, can’t wait to come back!

Honestly, the most beautiful lodge we have ever stayed in. So fresh, clean and gorgeous. It really did have everything you could possibly need, even down to the small details like coffee/tea in the cannisters and little packets of biscuits, milk in the fridge for your arrival, such thoughtful details. Hot tub was amazing too. Hands down the best pillows and duvet I've ever had anywhere! Plenty of towels and washing/drying facilities. I can't wait to book and come back to these stunning lodges.

Our stay at Thirlestane Lodges was honestly fantastic. We chose to visit between Christmas and New Year and from the moment we arrived, it felt special. There was a lovely surprise waiting for us - a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates on the kitchen island, which made us smile. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated and the fireplace kept us cosy during the snowy days. We took a day trip to Edinburgh, which is only about 45 minutes away and had a great time exploring. The weather was a bit unpredictable and our little pug wasn’t keen on walking in the cold, but we're already planning to return in the summer when everything’s a bit brighter. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! The last night, we watched the incredible starry sky - honestly, it was breathtaking. I really can’t find a fault with the place; everything was perfect, from the comfy beds to the gorgeous surroundings. We’re already looking forward to coming back for our first wedding anniversary. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had the MOST wonderful stay at Thirlestane lodges, we went for the break between Christmas and new year. On arrival a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates lay on the beautifully layout kitchen island, the features are absolutely stunning and the fire kept us warm when the snow came!We were 45 minutes away Edinburgh and had a wonderful day out there. The weather was touch and go and our little pug wouldn’t walk, but we are going to come back in the summer so we can enjoy it all! The hot tub was a treat!! We spent the last evening watching the immense sky show we had of all the stars, it was unreal! I cannot fault this lodge at all, everything to the detail, the amenities, the comfy bed, the hot showers, the beautifully presented rooms, the gorgeous surroundings, I already can’t wait to come back! We plan to come back for our 1st wedding anniversary and I’m so excited!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely lodge. It’s spotless and has all the essentials for a chilled holiday. The outdoor decking area is fantastic, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the private hot tub. The welcome pack was a nice touch, although the road lighting wasn’t great, so don’t forget a torch if you’re out late. We’d definitely come back!
