We had a great stay! The owners were so friendly and helpful, especially when the storm knocked out the power. The cottage was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we really enjoyed the hot tub!

We really enjoyed our stay at Coldingham Bay Leisure Park. The whole place is kept lovely and tidy and it’s just so relaxing - exactly what we needed. The caravan was well equipped and those beds were super comfy, especially since it’s a newer model. The highlight for us was definitely the food from the marquee restaurant - delicious! And the location near Coldingham Bay’s beach is perfect for a chill day out.

We had a fantastic weekend here, exactly what we needed. The place was perfect for us and our dogs, who especially enjoyed the underfloor heating and the garden. Luna was wagging her tail nonstop! Sadly, she strained it, but the vet said it was from all the excitement. We’re definitely coming back soon. Such a great stay!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and found it to be a lovely spot. Rob and Sharon have clearly put a lot of effort into restoring this historic building and it shows. They were incredibly welcoming and Bonnie added a nice touch. The location in Essex is perfect for exploring Thaxted and nearby villages, which are full of interesting history and charming architecture. Definitely worth a visit if you want a peaceful, comfortable break.

We just needed a quick escape with the dog and it couldn’t have been better. Lovely place, close to pubs and fields, perfect for long walks. Honestly, the dog didn’t want to leave! Definitely recommend.

We stayed at this cosy little cottage and honestly, it had everything we needed - we didn’t have to pack much! The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to reply if we had questions. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch, full of useful info and menus. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was a real treat after long walks. We even appreciated the little extras for us and our pups. All in all, a lovely place for a relaxing break. Thanks so much!

Relaxed holiday with lovely weather, felt secure during our stay. Would recommend.

Date of stay: 26th March 2025
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The only small issues were the worktop freezer, which had no plug socket nearby, so an extension lead would’ve helped. Also, the picnic table faced the waste area, which wasn’t ideal. A bit of fencing or some bushes could make it much nicer. Still, it was a lovely spot and we’d definitely return!

We just got back from a really lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and was super cosy. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Even being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful little retreat-absolutely loved it!

We loved the cosy cottage, perfect for a peaceful escape. The hot tub was a real treat, though the planes from Stanstead can be a bit noisy at night! Definitely recommend.

We stayed at this charming cottage recently and honestly, it had everything we could possibly need. The place is so well equipped, we didn’t even realise how much was provided until we arrived! The welcome pack was a lovely touch, full of useful info and menus. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs and they loved it. The hot tub was a real highlight, so relaxing. Date of stay: 17th February 2025
We had such a lovely time at this cosy cottage tucked away on a busy farm, but amazingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, were genuinely lovely and welcoming. The place is really spacious, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom facilities. The bed was super comfy and the garden was perfect for our dog-completely enclosed and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great places to eat, like The Star and The Maypole. Really recommend it!

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel right at home from the start. The place was spotless, comfy and felt secure for Archie, which was really important to us. The location was perfect - loads of nice walks and the villages nearby are charming. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, everything we wanted from a break. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Our weekend stay was just perfect for what we needed. The place had everything we hoped for and we really enjoyed it. The pups were especially happy with the underfloor heating and they had a fantastic time exploring the garden. Luna even came home with a strained tail from all the wagging! Definitely plan to return soon-what a great find!

We had a lovely stay in this peaceful spot, tucked away in a really beautiful and private area. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but it still felt secluded. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - such a nice touch! Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but if you’re sensitive to noise, it’s worth considering. Overall, a great place to unwind!
Emma
Date of stay: 15th January 2025
We stayed at a lovely, well-equipped house that was perfect for a cosy December break. The place was warm and welcoming, especially with the rain pouring down outside! The bath was just what we needed and the shower was spacious. Being on a flight path didn’t bother us at all and it’s ideal for dogs not keen on fireworks since it’s so secluded. Thanks a lot!

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. Perfectly situated for a peaceful break, away from busy areas. The hot tub was a real treat! Owners were friendly and discreet, just right.

What a beautiful caravan and park was lovely also we will be returning to Coldingham.

Weekend away for me, my mam and 4 year old daughter, oh and dog and we had the best time. We had a day trip to the Kelpies in Falkirk and also to the beach (5 min drive away). There wasn’t a great deal to do on site but my daughter loved the adventure trail around the site and the little play park. Overall this was just perfect for us - we will be back :)
Bob
The park is very well kept. The caravan we were in was clean and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area.
Julie
Fabulous holiday park and fabulous staff
Barbara
Clean & well appointed caravan that has everything you need in a great location for visiting some great places
Audrey
Lovely static caravan immaculately clean very helpful staff when could not get tv to work girl from reception immediately came and showed how to work it perhaps some explanation on a card etc would help Only downside was day before we left a man was strumming round the caravan I offered to move my car but he said it was fine however later we noted the grass had all stuck to the side of the car and in between the alloys plus of course we trailed the grass into the caravan making more work for the cleaners It took some considerable time to clean once we came home However overall a lovely stay
Christine
Lovely site in great area for exploring. Clean, well maintained and pet friendly caravan spotless and modern, USB ports on plugs,wide-screen tv, very comfy bed. No all singing amenities just reception small bar and very small outdoor playground but that suited us perfectly. Plenty to explore for children who love nature offside. Would definitely go again. Can't recommend it enough
Alison
The accommodation was well equipped, spotless and plenty of room for 6 of us. Bar on site with some noise on the weekend (which was to be expected) but didn’t stop the children going to sleep and the site was lovely a quiet during the day. Really helpful staff when my son fell off his bike and hurt himself. Great value for money during the school holidays as well.
Elaine
lovely wee village great beach
Jean
Had a lovely 4 day break at Coldingham Leisure Park. Caravan was spacious, well equipped and clean. Lovely comfy bed and fluffy towels. Appreciated outside table and benches.
