The lodge is in a great spot, perfect for peaceful walks around the pond and nearby. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s true, the place could do with a bit of sprucing up, but we enjoyed it!

We had a fantastic stay at Tilfords Darwin Escapes. The mornings were made special by the ducks, geese and squirrels bustling around while we enjoyed breakfast. The lodge was well-equipped for self-catering and the staff were genuinely friendly. Definitely a relaxing getaway!

We had a lovely stay at Tilford Lodge Retreat - perfect if you’re after some peace and quiet. The location is great, right next to a huge golf course with plenty of bridle paths for walks. There’s a charming pub just next door and a short stroll to a small coffee shop plus a convenience store, which was handy. The lodges are well-equipped and we really appreciated the underfloor heating and dishwasher - definitely a plus! The only thing is parking’s a bit tight with just one space per lodge, though you can sometimes snag a visitor spot. The lodges are quite close together, so we did get woken up early by neighbours chatting outside our window, but I guess it’s just luck with who’s staying there. Overall, we’d happily come back!

We had such a lovely stay at the lodge! It was spotless and super comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked, with little touches like washing up liquid and a tea towel, which was great. The hot tub was a real highlight and the bed was so cosy. We did have a minor issue with the shower when we arrived, but Adam sorted it out quickly and was really helpful. The pub next door serves fantastic food and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

We had another lovely stay at Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat. Everything you could want is right there under one roof and the hot tub is always a nice touch. It’s our go-to spot for chilling out and escaping the daily grind. Plenty of activities nearby to keep us busy too. Can’t wait to come back! Definitely recommend it for anyone needing a peaceful getaway. Looking forward to our next visit!

The lodge was generally tidy and served its purpose well. Some areas looked a bit worn out and could use a refresh, but it didn’t really affect our stay. We enjoyed a peaceful, quiet weekend, which was exactly what we needed. Not bad at all!

Date of stay: 25th August 2024
Honestly, we found the sofa way too soft - I just sank right in, which isn’t ideal for a week-long stay. The bed wasn’t much better and felt pretty old. The decor was nice, but overall, the furniture seemed a bit worn out and in need of a refresh.

We loved how the big glass doors in both the bedroom and sitting area let the outdoors flow right in. It’s perfect for relaxing on the deck, soaking up the scenery and spotting wildlife. The peaceful vibe makes it a lovely spot for a quiet romantic getaway for two. Truly, a special place!

We really enjoyed the peaceful setting with ducks wandering nearby, but honestly, the lodge could do with some sprucing up and a bit of maintenance. Still, a lovely spot overall!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Plenty of space for us three and the modern bathroom was a nice touch. The kitchen had all we needed, even if there wasn’t a washing machine. Would stay again!

The lodge is really comfy, but honestly, it’s missing basic things like a cafetiere and it looks a bit tired. Still, the setting is absolutely lovely, so we enjoyed it!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, right beside the duck pond and it's so peaceful and private. The lodge had everything we needed and it was spotless. The furniture might be a bit old-fashioned, but it didn’t ruin our comfort at all. Plus, being close to a lovely golf course with stunning views and a nice pub next door made it even better. Great spot for exploring the area!

It's nice to return, but I did notice some things feel a bit outdated. The welcome pack isn't the same anymore-no more dishwasher tablets or biscuits, which was a shame really. Still, a lovely stay overall.

Not great, honestly. Sofas are way too low and the bath’s too high for us shorties.

We had such a lovely stay here! It was our first time taking the dogs on holiday and everything went smoothly. The cabin was cosy, the surroundings beautiful and the staff super friendly. The grandkids loved it too - we’ll be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The area is stunning, with plenty of birds singing all around. The lodge was super well-stocked, making it easy to settle in. We brought some DVDs for cosy movie nights, which was perfect. The shop in reception has a few essentials - handy! There are lovely walks to Frensham Pond and the pub on the corner is great for a drink, even if it’s always busy - that’s usually a good sign, right? We’ll definitely come back.

We stayed in the lodge back in January and honestly, it was just what we needed. The staff were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if we had questions. Inside, the lodge was spotless, warm and really well-equipped - everything we needed was there. The best part? The view over the duck pond was absolutely lovely, perfect for some peaceful downtime. Even though we didn’t explore much outside, the location worked great for us as a base to visit nearby places. The park itself is right next to a golf course, which meant quick access to a peaceful woodl and walk - lovely for a bit of fresh air. There’s also a small shop on site with all the basics. Our lodge had the best spot, overlooking the pond and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re after a calm, relaxing break. We’d go back for sure!

A wonderful mid-week family break. Tranquil and peaceful - a perfect way to unwind. We filled out days with Go Ape at Alice Holt Woods; walking there and along Basingstoke canal; swimming, lunch and exploring in Guildford; On the beach at Bournemouth; and relaxed in the evening in our lovely lodge or a short safe stroll to the Duke of Cambridge pub
Laura
We loved our holiday here, I would highly recommend it. Lovely accommodation, it was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed at.

Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat is a delightful retreat set in lovely rural English countryside, with a profusion of ducks, next to Hankley Common golf course and the Duke of Cambridge pub. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Enda
Excellent park, that is tranquil and well maintained. Staff are excellent and one of the few helpful people who helped us out with a major issue we had on holiday. Beautiful location but a car is essential. Wifi is excellent, included and unrestricted.
Lorraine
Lovely peaceful holiday in a clean and well equipped lodge

The lodge was extremely clean as were the towels and sheets. If I had one complaint it would be the dishwasher had food around the drain. Otherwise great break
