We had such a lovely stay! The house is perfect for family trips and I can totally imagine it looking stunning in winter too. Can't wait to come back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay; the place was lovely, spotless and super comfortable. Everything seemed to be thought of, from the well-kept grounds to the outdoor BBQ and seating areas. The hot tub was a real highlight! The only downside was not having WiFi and we couldn’t quite figure out how to access it. Still, we’d definitely return!

Great spot with stunning views, but the place itself is pretty worn out and in need of renovation.

We had a really lovely stay at this beautiful house surrounded by stunning scenery. The peaceful atmosphere made for a perfectly relaxing getaway. However, there were a few things that could’ve been better. The hot tub was way too hot for our little ones, even without bubbles - definitely not toddler friendly. The welcome book mentioned how to adjust the temperature, but it didn’t match our hot tub model, so we missed out on that. Also, it said to contact Sioned for WiFi info and other questions, but we couldn’t find any contact details, which was a bit frustrating. We were also a tad disappointed that there was no cake in the welcome pack, just a couple of biscuits instead. The mornings were quite bright upstairs on the balcony, so if you’re after a lie-in, bring an eye mask because the light coming through the big front window is pretty intense. The cot provided was quite small and missing a mattress, so only suitable for babies under one. The highchair was a bit basic - just a wooden one - and not really suitable for our 2-year-old or 7-month-old. Still, none of these issues spoiled our holiday; we really enjoyed the stunning views and had a lovely time overall. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

We spent a lovely weekend at the cottage celebrating a special birthday, staying for three nights over the bank holiday. The layout was spot on and everything was spotless-really well looked after. The location was perfect, with stunning views and just a quick 5-minute drive into Bala for shops and essentials. We also enjoyed a 20-minute walk to the local pub, which served delicious food. Overall, a brilliant break that everyone enjoyed!

We absolutely loved staying here! The location is stunning and really peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. The house was super comfy, especially for our little ones (ages 3 and 6). We did have a slight hiccup with the hot tub on our first night because it was cold after a water change, but honestly, it made us feel better knowing it was fresh for us. Great spot for families and couples alike!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was perfect-spacious and comfy beds made all the difference. The hot tub was such a treat and those views are absolutely stunning. Only thing, no shops nearby, so we drove about 12 minutes to town. Can’t wait to return!

We had a lovely stay at Y Beudy, though finding it the first time was a bit tricky, especially in the dark, but eventually we managed. The location is great-close enough to the town centre and only about half an hour to Barmouth, which is perfect for days out. The hot tub was fantastic, with stunning views, although the deck gets quite slippery when wet, so a bit of caution is needed. The only real downside was the mattress; it was quite firm, almost like sleeping on a board, so a bit more cushioning would be nice-though some might prefer a firmer feel. One thing to remember is the hob is induction, so if you're bringing your own pans, double-check they work. We’d definitely return!

The holiday was quite lovely, with lovely walks nearby. Although the on-site restaurant was missing, the pub just a short drive away was fantastic. Hope to return soon!

We stayed at this charming cottage recently and really enjoyed our time there. The hot tub was a real highlight for everyone, such a lovely touch! The place was well-equipped with all the utensils we needed in the kitchen, so no complaints there. Just a heads up, you might want to bring matches for the wood burner as they aren’t provided. We did find it a bit frustrating that the water system struggled when two showers were used at once, especially with seven of us. Also, no bath robes or slippers, which was a bit of a let down. Still, a lovely spot overall!

We loved the place! The facilities are top-notch, but it would be great to have more outdoor lights at night for the hot tub. Overall, we’ll be back at the same time again!

The beds weren’t the comfiest, but honestly, the hot tub, lounges and pool table made up for it.

We had such a lovely stay at this place! The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus more. Plenty of space for our two families and the pool table was a nice touch to keep everyone entertained. The kids were never bored with all the activities available. Evenings in the hot tub were a highlight, especially enjoying meals while taking in the breathtaking views. The house felt warm and welcoming throughout. We definitely plan to come back - it’s a proper gem! Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We recently stayed at this lovely cottage and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The place is a beautifully restored old barn, combining charm with modern comforts. Everything you might need is thoughtfully provided - from the comfy, spacious rooms to the sleek new kitchen and bathrooms that make relaxing so easy. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially from the decking area with the hottub - nothing beats gazing at the Aran mountainside. Sioned and Gareth are wonderful hosts, really friendly and welcoming. We’re already planning to come back soon! If you’re after a peaceful getaway with a touch of luxury and wow-factor, this place is perfect. Highly recommended!

We recently spent a weekend at Y Beudy and honestly, it was fantastic. The lodge itself is stunning, with incredible views that just take your breath away. When we arrived, the host greeted us in the evening with a warm lemon drizzle cake straight from the oven - it was delicious! The place felt so relaxed, with no pressure at all, like a proper home away from home. We took a couple of trips to the Eagles Inn, which is only about 15 minutes walk and serves really nice food - definitely recommend. We were told about a lovely forest walk nearby, but honestly, we just wanted to unwind in the hot tub longer instead. The lodge has everything you could need, including a beautiful log burner and you can buy more logs if needed, which we did. If I had to pick one thing, the beds could be a bit bigger and more comfy - they’re quite small and a little creaky. Also, earlier check-in and later check-out would be great, but totally underst and it’s for cleaning. We loved every moment and even friends have booked after hearing about it. Thanks so much!! X

Our first wedding anniversary was spent at Bryn Caled Cottages and it was truly lovely. The cottage was spotless and came equipped with everything we could need - actually, more than we expected! The location is pretty perfect and even with the unpredictable March weather, we enjoyed the hot tub every single day. Sioned greeted us warmly and even brought a delicious lemon drizzle cake, which was a nice touch. We loved seeing the dogs and chickens wandering around the grounds, it added to the charm. We had a fantastic time and definitely plan to come back soon!

We recently stayed at this charming cottage and honestly, we had a really lovely time. It’s a proper cosy spot with a lovely design and the space is generous - everything you could need, especially in the kitchen, was thoughtfully provided. We loved how clean and well-kept it was, which made settling in even more enjoyable. The owner was super friendly, even baking us a little lemon cake on arrival - such a nice touch! She also introduced herself and offered some handy tips about local places to visit, which we appreciated. The beds were comfy as anything, with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space to unpack. The ensuite was a proper size and the bath and shower were both easy to use - rare find really. Upstairs, the balcony was a highlight; the view over the Welsh countryside was stunning, especially at sunrise. We also enjoyed meeting the friendly dogs, who came over to say hello, along with some free-range chickens and two horses across the field - really added to the rural charm. The cottage’s location is spot on, tucked away in the countryside but just a short drive to Bala. It felt peaceful but convenient. The booklet provided by the owners was packed with helpful leaflets, local food suggestions and even some discount offers, which made exploring even better. Now, onto the bits that could be improved. We were a bit disappointed with the hot tub - we’re used to cottages with one and this one just didn’t quite hit the mark. It seemed poorly maintained; it was only set to economy mode, which we couldn’t change and the jets ran very slowly. Plus, there was a strange loud noise when turning the jets off and we had to fix the water feature ourselves because it wasn’t working. The TV downstairs in the double bedroom also had terrible signal, making it pretty much unwatchable and the upstairs TV turned on by itself twice early in the morning - quite bizarre and a bit annoying. A few of the ceiling spotlights weren’t working and one of the upstairs sofas looked a bit worn out. Still, these are all minor niggles. With a few upgrades, this place would be even better. Overall, it’s one of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in and we’d definitely consider coming back. I’d say it’s a solid 9 out of 10 from us - definitely worth a visit!

Stunning location and beautiful lodges
Tony
Absolutely fabulous holiday accommodation with all necessary facilities. Great owners too. Would definitely return.
Katherine
Wonderful cottage & stunning location. 6 adults & two toddlers under 2. I would say that although the children always had full supervision, the cottage isn’t as child friendly as I thought. The doors being the main issue, some of them don’t close properly or come open with the wind. That said, we managed it by moving furniture when needed. The cottage is huge & has 4 bathrooms. The location is perfect & a short drive to Bala & Barmouth beach. We would definitely book again. The only thing I think could be improved is the cleaning. I feel like it needs a deep clean. We found a lot of dust & cobwebs & mould in one of the bathrooms. We do appreciate however that the lovely owner, let us check in at 2pm rather than 4 so this may have shortened cleaning time.
Kalum
Couldn’t have booked better the cottages are amazing and the owners are lovely, would 100% recommend this place. The location is convenient being located near Bala and only an hours drive from most attractions. There’s so much to do that we will have to come back again next year.

Emma
Amazing holiday and experience, lovely owners but would recommend placing a outdoor light where the hot tub is as the one that is already there doesnt work and would recommend where to change the hot tub heating and indoor heating as it was abit nippy at night time
Karen
