Comfortable and spacious cabin, modern decor, definitely the best we've experienced so far.

The lodge was absolutely stunning, super tidy and had everything we needed for a chilled-out getaway. The welcoming hamper was a lovely touch when we arrived. The scenery around us was breathtaking and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The hot tub and log fire made it even better. We’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place has everything you could ask for and then some. Everything feels fresh and modern, which was lovely. The hot tub was a real highlight and the big bath was a bonus. The interior design is stylish and small touches like salt, pepper and extra dishwasher tablets made it feel extra thoughtful. We’d definitely come back without hesitation. The only thing was the WiFi wasn’t working, but at least the TV was connected to another, so we still had some entertainment. Overall, a great spot!

Overall, the lodge was quite nice and mostly tidy, but we did notice some pastry bits in the fridge that hadn't been cleaned properly. The biggest issue was the air fresheners-they were plugged in and even after we hid them away, the smell lingered all week. Not ideal if you’re sensitive to scents!

We loved the spacious lodge, it really felt like a home away from home. The little touches like cleaning supplies, tea, coffee, salt and pepper made it even better. Watching peacocks visit every day was a real treat!

We loved the cottage! It’s perfectly tucked away but still close to shops and stuff. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating made it super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were lovely hosts. Can’t wait to return for a longer stay soon!

This place was fantastic for a cosy winter break. It’s really well kitted out and we loved how warm and comfy it was - perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was lovely and the shower was great too. The location’s brilliant if you’ve got dogs that dislike fireworks, since it’s so remote. And honestly, hearing planes overhead didn’t bother us at all. Thanks a lot!

We had such a great weekend here, it really ticked all the boxes for us. The pups had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating-Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! The garden was perfect for them to run around. We’re already planning to come back, can’t wait! Truly happy dogs and humans alike!

They couldn’t have been more welcoming, along with Bonnie, of course. The place has everything you need to unwind comfortably. Plus, the location is perfect-great for exploring Thaxted and nearby villages with their charming history and beautiful buildings. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming spot tucked away in a peaceful setting. The hosts were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, yet they kept a respectful distance to maintain our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day out cycling. A little thing to note, the cottage sits right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of noise from the planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our break at all. Would definitely recommend!

We had a really lovely stay at this cottage, which is nestled on a working farm but feels surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The place itself is huge with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and the bed was super comfy. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of nice walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out in Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are great spots. All in all, a really recommendable place!

We booked a little escape for dog walking and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place was lovely, with great nearby pubs and loads of open fields to explore. The dog loved it too!

The welcome pack was thoughtful, providing all the info about the place and local menus, which was super handy. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after busy days. Sharon and Robe were quick to reply to any questions. Really appreciated the little extras for us and the pups. Great break!
