When sitting out the back of the lodge the only sound was naturs

Fab. Great cabin, clean and excellent maintenance

The lodge was clean ,very spacious with ample storage space ,beds were comfy and plenty of towels . Good variety of utensils and crockery . Wi-fi was good . In my opinion it could’ve benefited with a clothes line or airer and just had a washing machine instead of a combined washer/dryer as the dryer was too complicated to use so gave up on it . Hot tub was private and liked the fact that you didn’t have to step up into it

Lovely clean, fully stocked with essentials, beautiful place

The lodge is amazing. So clean. Well stocked. Hot tub area is private and a sun trap. Touches such as the robes, hand wash and plenty of loo roll were appreciated. The bedrooms were gorgeous. The game of thrones fleece on the bed and the chandelier added to the luxury. Kitchen was well stocked. Large fridge freezer. Everything was quality.

Always clean and tidy and a great location which is why we keep coming back. Only problem we have found over the years is the wine both in the restaurant and in the cabin is not very good.

Outstanding log cabin and very clean throughout. One of the best in the Autograph range. Highly recommended.

The pictures really don't do this lodge justice! A truly unique American style lodge with the little touches to really show the added quality. And the Thai restaurant on site is to die for!

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Booked quite last minute for New Year and was best decision I made all year! Lodge was fab, pub lovely on the one night we could use it (before lockdown) area beautiful (made even more so by the snow we got!). Was magical and will definitely be back!

On arrival the girl in the pub wasn't really bothered about the fact our key wasn't ready on time and seemed to think it was funny the restaurant was fully booked all week.Not great as the on site restaurant was a main reason for booking.

Although expensive, this was a treat - Im not sure all of my friends would pay the rate that we did.

Great for a quiet getaway but need to travel for entertainment.
Excellent pub for evening drink which was very popular for Thai food.

Lovely well maintained lodge

The only thing I could say about the last stay was the lock on the main entrance door, it was quite difficult to open or close. You had to be quite rough with it which makes you feel it would break. Overall highly recommend this lodge and I’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I along with our 4 month old baby stayed here last week. The lodges themselves are absolutely gorgeous! Very luxury and clean, with all facilities you need, couldn't ask for much more! The only improvement would be the check in process as this is via the pub, and the staff were not very 'enthusiastic' - other than that cannot fault the place. The food at Blackwell lodge was 'ok'. Overall loved our holiday! Would return :)

Our lodge was amazing - it was really clean and all of the facilities were brilliant. There is everything there that you could need and the equipment and furnishing are of a very high standard. It's so comfy and relaxing. We have enjoyed both of our stays here and we can't wait to go back again!

Up there with one of the best lodges we have stayed in, had a lovely 5 days and looking forward to returning. Everything was perfect.

We visited with friends and had a wonderful time relaxing here. The lodge is beautiful and the surrounding area is just lovely.

The lodges and surrounding countryside are beautiful. The pub on site is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be revisiting.

Rather expensive lodge but we got it at discounted price as a last minute booking. But we loved it.

Fabulous lodge, will be back!

We booked 3 of the lodges for a family celebration, guests aged between 6 and 91. The lodges are in a beautiful quiet location and have everything you could need. We all enjoyed the hot tubs and the lodges were big enough for us all to go in to one for drinks etc on an evening. The kids played out on the green space and enjoyed seeing the rabbits hopping around. The pub onsite serves gorgeous Thai food aswell!

From the moment we arrived we were very impressed with the lodge. Location is beautiful. Parking was no problem. Such a quiet area. Will definitely return.

We have been to the same Lodge a few times and always happy to be back.

Fabulous lodge. So warm & cosy, we didn't want to leave. Loved it. Only thing is the hot tub is not very comfortable (the seats)/there wasn't enough water in it. Oh and the meal at the pub wasn't the best either. Other than that fab mini break.

Fabulous lodge, immaculately presented. Wonderful secluded hot tub and a really welcoming pub restaurant 200yds away. All nestled in a lovely village and countryside. And so peaceful! Definitely booking a return. Highly recommended!
