Really enjoyed our stay! The place was lovely, but adding a gate on the deck would make it perfect for dog and kid safety. Would definitely come back!

We had a great stay, really good value for money! The villa was well stocked and super dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and the central heating kept us cosy at all times. We cooked a couple of meals and appreciated the lovely welcome pack with milk, scones, cream and jam. Definitely recommend!

The lodge was really roomy and the hot tub was a lovely bonus. Everything we needed - cooker, microwave - was there, plus a little treat when we arrived!

We really enjoyed our stay overall, even though the sofa in the lounge wasn’t the most comfy after a while and the bed had a noticeable gap in the middle. It would’ve been handy to have a spot to stash our fishing gear near the front door too. That said, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return!

We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was really charming, with those thoughtful little touches that made all the difference. The play area was perfect for the kids and we enjoyed chilling by the fire pit in the evenings with marshmallows. Plus, it’s super dog friendly-honestly, one of the best places we’ve been! We’ll be back.

We had such a relaxing stay here! The lodge was spotless and the public areas were well looked after. The staff were really thoughtful-bringing a dog bed over and having plenty of water bowls around, which was great for our pup. The indoor pool and hot tub were fantastic, both ready to go when we arrived. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfy. Plus, those lake views from our lodge made it even more special. Definitely coming back!

Good overall, but the sofa bed could be a bit more comfy, honestly.

The lodge was just right for 5 or 6 of us, but honestly, it’d be tight with eight adults.

We really enjoyed our stay, but cleanliness was a bit of a letdown. The floor was quite dusty and walking barefoot wasn’t really an option without picking up dirt. We get it’s dog-friendly, but a cleaner space would’ve made it perfect. Also, the bed was two twins pushed together, which was a little disappointing, but overall, it was a fantastic place to stay!

We recently stayed at the Willow holiday home for 6 and honestly, it was pretty great. The place was spotless and felt brand new, which was a nice surprise. The beds and sofa were super comfy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The kitchen was decent equipped, though the oven could be better - it took a while to cook stuff evenly. We loved having a large fridge and freezer; really handy. The heating was easy to control and kept the place warm without any fuss. The shower was powerful and refreshing, which we appreciated. Our spot was in the back row (number 24), with lovely views - definitely a peaceful area. The main bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage, so no trouble unpacking. The twin rooms were small, as expected, but fine for our teenage daughters. Just a heads-up: the beds in the second room are tiny - probably best for kids or really small teenagers. Overall, a lovely stay for four of us, even though it’s meant for six. Just keep those small beds in mind when booking!

We loved how modern and spacious the place was, really well kept. The heating was spot on and the big TV was a nice touch. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing, though a bit warmer would have been ideal. Stunning scenery too!

We had to change our plans last minute from Finlake because of an unexpected leak and Clawford Lakes stepped in to save the day. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for better service. Mandy, the Accommodation Manager, was so helpful and friendly and Katie at the restaurant made us feel really welcome. Ian the groundskeeper kept everything looking lovely, which we appreciated. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, modern, spacious and super relaxing - exactly what we needed. The pool and water sports were included, which was perfect for the kids and us to enjoy some outdoor fun. Our family loved the hot tub too - such a treat after busy days. We even brought our little Chihuahua, Kevin and with all the scenic walks and woods nearby, he was in his element. We’ve already booked for next year - can’t wait!

The lodge’s kitchen needs bigger saucepans and larger trays, honestly.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is spotless and looks stunning, especially in summer, I bet! The only downside was the limited activities-fishing isn’t for everyone and the pool is tiny. Sadly, no food during the day since it’s out of season, but the guy at the bar was lovely. Keep up the good work!

We had a really lovely stay and are already planning to come back! The cream tea and fresh milk in the fridge were such nice touches. The accommodation was spotless and well-equipped, with hot water and plenty of towels. Plus, all the activities are free and the Sunday roast in the bar is definitely worth trying!

Beautiful spot, we really enjoyed our stay. The WiFi was a bit rubbish, but it didn’t ruin our holiday at all.

We stayed in the lodge and honestly, the sofa bed wasn’t the greatest for chilling out and watching movies, kinda firm and not very comfy. However, the bed was absolutely amazing-super soft and cosy, we didn’t want to get up! The blackout blinds were a bonus, making it easy to sleep in. The kitchen was fully equipped, honestly had everything we needed and more. Nice stay!

The lodge was quite comfortable overall, but the bedrooms were surprisingly tiny-definitely more suited to little ones. My three kids ended up sleeping on the floor in the front room since the beds were so small. Apart from that, it was a good stay.

We had a lovely stay at this lodge! It’s spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious. The hot tub was checked daily, which was reassuring. All the essentials were there, plus little touches like dishwasher tablets and a great body wash in the bathroom. Definitely recommend!

Booked this as a last minute get away , lovely resort .Staff very helpful nothing too much trouble would recommend this resort to everyone. Very pet friendly

A fantastic place for a relaxing holiday, even if you don't fish!
Mark
We didn't come to fish - we just wanted a break, though having seen the lakes I would like to come back and fish them at a let date. The thing that strikes you about the place is how quiet it is and that was acknowledging the building work that was still going on. The welcome pack of goodies was a surprise and a real nice touch - thank you, plus we found a Waitrose not that far away in Holsworthy. The weather, which was great, obviously influenced our review, but it was so nice to have our meals on our patio and just chill and this place lets you do that. We heard that there are big plans for the site, including erecting quite a few more lodges, so it will be interesting to see how things progress. Hopefully the serenity of the place isn't spoilt as it grows. Two small gripes - 1. There was no mirror, except in the bathroom, making drying hair a bit of a challenge (this was more of an issue for my wife - she has a lot more hair than me!) - 2. The shower was a bit small. We're not big people but are a bit older than some and when you dropped the soap, let's just say that it was a bit of a challenge to pick it up! These may both have been addressed in other apartments/other accommodation, but thought it worth mentioning. Overall though, we'd recommend (and have already recommended) this place.

Had an amazing week at Clawford Lakes, still under construction, but did not affect our stay, already booked for next year and can’t wait to go back, try the Sunday roast absolutely fantastic, Receptionist’s we’re very attentive and brilliant for dogs, couldn’t recommend enough
Rebecca
My friends had a lovely honeymoon here they couldn’t fault the place and the staff
Deborah
The lodge was amazing and was situated on the lake side. The accessible bathroom was great for someone with a disability. The takeaway food from the pub was lovely. There was a nice welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Also we could bring along our dog.A fantastic holiday and a fantastic place to stay.
Jane
Very helpful staff made welcome beautiful apartment very comfortable spotlessly clean views were gorgeous thankyou for a great stay

Amazing, peaceful, relaxing place. Good location (around 25min driving to Bude), and the most important thing....100 % dog friendly.
Kathryn
Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed at, accommodation good and clean, surroundings thee lakes etc beautiful good fishing, bar/restaurant good and great food. When the spa and leisure lake open something for everyone to do. Definitely going back next year. Small amount of work going on but didn’t spoil it.
Samantha
Beautiful resort and spotless accommodation. Restaurant food was exquisite and staff were very attentive. I advised that it was my partner’s birthday and we arrived to find a cake, bacon, eggs, sausage, milk, orange juice, bread and butter in the kitchen, a lovely touch, thank you!
Jessica
We had an amazing stay at Clawford lakes, the location is simply beautiful. Very peaceful and the staff were helpful. Free bikes/helmets to hire which were of very good standard. The hot tub was super clean, staff check the water every day. Only a few small bits of feedback: no hair dryer in our apartment, no kitchen roll or foil in the kitchen, very basic supplies and for the price we paid a hand pump of soap and shampoo/conditioner would of been a nice touch.
