Lodge clean and modern with lots of space and nice outdoor are which was secure to so the dog could sit outside safely without escaping. .

Stayed in the same Meadow Lodge as last time. It's lovely and clean. Great location, a short walk to the main facilities, and peaceful.Took awhile to work out how to use the cooker and there is no oven tray for cooking.Enjoyed the cream tea on arrival.

Great outdoor pool and slides, heated so even on a mild day was nice to use. Indoor pool was lovely with well kept premium feeling changing and wash areas. Lots of outdoor climbing frame things dotted around the park especially the massive one by the main restaurant/pub which was also fairly well priced for food (drink was a touch expensive) and to a good quality. Lodge was nice but did pass on that the things you see and touch were clean and well presented but clearly no effort had been made to clean under things like the beds, one of my sons pull back cars went under and came out the other side with a trail of thick hair and fluff that looked a year old. Also found a purple ******** under the bed when I had to move it out so clearly not been checked or cleaned properly. Annoyed I left my nice new insulated cool bag in the fridge so that’s now gone, would have been nice to offer to send it back to me, I’d have paid the postage not that they don’t make enough money off the holiday costs. But that’s my fault. Only the cleanliness of the place let it down. Didn’t do fishing but saw a lot of people who had said it was great.

Everything you need is here. This appeared to be brand new.. A spotless lodge, well equipped, nicely situated high on the hill. Plenty of space, not crammed in like some parks. Amazing views over the lakes and surrounding countryside

Everything you could ask for in a family lodge, washing machine and dishwasher was a huge benefit! The lodge was cosy, with everything you could need, lovely touch with the cream teas on arrival, milk in the fridge and washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs. Beds made on arrival and the private electric car charging point was a huge bonus.

Great accommodation- clean, tidy and modern, even had some free scones on arrival which please my husband very much, we all loved the hot tub and even though this was a pet accommodation you could not tell it was lovely and clean

Meadow lodge was beautiful, spacious, everything you could possibly need, was provided. The view was stunning, the hot tub was loved by everyone. Nice to stay somewhere like this with proper beds and decent size rooms.The only downside were the many spiders inside (we all hate them ????) but being right on the lake edge you’d expect some. Nothing the hoover couldn’t sort though. Added treat…Scones, cream and jam on arrival ????

The lodge was quiet with plenty of space between them so we didn’t feel hemmed in. The decking was nice and big and the hot tub was lovely and warm.

Amazing place, thoroughly recommend

Fantastic accommodation, lovely decor. Holiday home had a washing machine which was a bonus. Had all the necessary items. Also included iron, ironing board, maiden and hairdrier. Lovely comfy beds, TVs in bedrooms for if needed. All smart TVs. Wifi worked great during our stay also.

Cleanliness was of a good standard. A good sized cabin. There are other cabins in better locations with a view which we didn't have, but we did have a quiet spot where ours was located.

Goox quality but basic furniture and no ambience lighting, lights either on or off.

Great lodge. Lovely view although some of the hedges/trees need trimming to preserve this.

Great holiday it was the second time we have visited. There is always lots to do and staff are always friendly.A couple of minor points:The furnishings in the meadow lodges are not quite the same as on the Hoseasons website they make the lodges look far more homey but this didn’t really affect us.It does take quite some time to walk to the new pool area and for people like my mum who don’t have great mobility (but are not blue badge holders) we couldn’t go there because it was inaccessible to vehicles. The lifeguards are also quite strict about children not jumping into the swimming pool which seems a bit too much. The pool and lake should also be open every day before the main summer holidays. We missed three days of use due to checking in late on Saturday, closed Monday and Friday.

Very modern and clean. Everything you needed and possibly things you didn't even realise you needed. Lovely touch with the scones, milk and treats for the pooch.

Lodge looked new and even though we didn’t cook the kitchen was well equipped. Great to have a washing machine, vacuum ect…. Lodge was very clean inside and out and the hot tub was great. Bar/restaurant area was lovely and the food was good, all staff were friendly and helpful. Great to be able to book to paddleboard ect..Great location to discover Devon and Cornwall by car. We had 2 dogs and nice to be able to walk around the grounds. We normally book the forest lodges but this worked so well and overall worked out cheaper. Highly recommend

Great lodge equipped with everything we needed including a dishwasher, iron, hairdryer etc. Quality fixtures & fittings. Only thing needed is a handrail on the stairs down from the front door / decking.

Absolutely great stay in the cabin, very pet friendly and plenty of space. 4 adults stayed comfortably with great views and amazing facilities. May need to bring a couple of essentials with you like tongs but amazing stay all round

The accommodation was immaculately clean and quality. We loved the hot tub!

Accommodation: we stayed in a signature pod. Beautifully presented and clean and tidy but a few details.There was a severe lack of plug sockets. Especially by mirrors where I needed to dry my hair. I was basically by the front door struggling to see in the mirror. The lamp in the living room was hanging on by a thread literally and wouldn’t stand up by itself. Don’t bring 4 people in to this accommodation, even small children. It would be too small. It’s really for 2 people. The double bed is two singles pushed together. However it was comfortable. The shower was piddly and not very powerful. The sun basically didn’t touch the decking area at any point and the lake was probably the dirtiest lake on the entire site.

A fantastic place for a relaxing holiday, even if you don't fish!

We didn't come to fish - we just wanted a break, though having seen the lakes I would like to come back and fish them at a let date. The thing that strikes you about the place is how quiet it is and that was acknowledging the building work that was still going on. The welcome pack of goodies was a surprise and a real nice touch - thank you, plus we found a Waitrose not that far away in Holsworthy. The weather, which was great, obviously influenced our review, but it was so nice to have our meals on our patio and just chill and this place lets you do that. We heard that there are big plans for the site, including erecting quite a few more lodges, so it will be interesting to see how things progress. Hopefully the serenity of the place isn't spoilt as it grows. Two small gripes - 1. There was no mirror, except in the bathroom, making drying hair a bit of a challenge (this was more of an issue for my wife - she has a lot more hair than me!) - 2. The shower was a bit small. We're not big people but are a bit older than some and when you dropped the soap, let's just say that it was a bit of a challenge to pick it up! These may both have been addressed in other apartments/other accommodation, but thought it worth mentioning. Overall though, we'd recommend (and have already recommended) this place.

Had an amazing week at Clawford Lakes, still under construction, but did not affect our stay, already booked for next year and can’t wait to go back, try the Sunday roast absolutely fantastic, Receptionist’s we’re very attentive and brilliant for dogs, couldn’t recommend enough

The lodge was amazing and was situated on the lake side. The accessible bathroom was great for someone with a disability. The takeaway food from the pub was lovely. There was a nice welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Also we could bring along our dog.A fantastic holiday and a fantastic place to stay.

Amazing, peaceful, relaxing place. Good location (around 25min driving to Bude), and the most important thing....100 % dog friendly.

Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed at, accommodation good and clean, surroundings thee lakes etc beautiful good fishing, bar/restaurant good and great food. When the spa and leisure lake open something for everyone to do. Definitely going back next year. Small amount of work going on but didn’t spoil it.

Beautiful resort and spotless accommodation. Restaurant food was exquisite and staff were very attentive. I advised that it was my partner’s birthday and we arrived to find a cake, bacon, eggs, sausage, milk, orange juice, bread and butter in the kitchen, a lovely touch, thank you!

We had an amazing stay at Clawford lakes, the location is simply beautiful. Very peaceful and the staff were helpful. Free bikes/helmets to hire which were of very good standard. The hot tub was super clean, staff check the water every day. Only a few small bits of feedback: no hair dryer in our apartment, no kitchen roll or foil in the kitchen, very basic supplies and for the price we paid a hand pump of soap and shampoo/conditioner would of been a nice touch.
