The kids really enjoyed the room, it was definitely their favourite part! However, the toadstools had sharp points underneath the fabric that cut their feet when they stood on them, which was a bit of a shock.

We just got back from a fantastic four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were really friendly and helpful, but they kept a good distance, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The cottage had everything we needed - the fully equipped kitchen was handy and the hot tub was absolutely brilliant! We’ll definitely be coming back and have already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely time!

We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it’s more of a caravan with some wood cladding rather than a proper lodge, but the photos do give that away so we knew what we were getting. The kitchen was okay, not huge and the oven was a bit on the small side-plus, the baking trays were pretty limited. But there was enough cutlery and basic kitchen stuff for us. The welcome pack was handy, though it didn’t have much washing up liquid, just a couple of dishwasher tabs, so I’d recommend bringing extra if you’re a bigger group or staying longer. The place was spotless, really comfortable and the central heating kept us cosy. The beds are typical caravan beds-some might find them a bit firm, but they suited us fine. The hot tub was a real highlight-big, quality and well-maintained. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The no-car policy at the lodges was such a good idea - it made everything so peaceful and safe for the kids. The lodge itself had everything we needed, although it was a bit cosy, it didn’t matter much. The hot tub and cabin were spotless and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, just a short drive to Clumber Park, which meant we could go for lovely bike rides every day. Overall, a great half-term break - we’re definitely coming back!

The owners are genuinely lovely and went above and beyond when the storm caused the power to cut out. The cottage was spotless, cosy and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we enjoyed the hot tub too!

We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it’s a good place. The house is super well equipped and kept us warm during a chilly December. The bath was fantastic and the shower was a decent size-perfect after a long walk. It’s right on a flight path, but we barely noticed. Great spot for dogs who aren’t fans of fireworks, miles from everything. Thanks so much!

We had a really pleasant stay at the lodge. It’s perfect for a small group, with plenty of space for us and our dog. The location is great, with sunlight pouring in all day long, which made everything feel bright and welcoming. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use and the bedrooms, though cosy, were super warm during late March. Would definitely stay again!

Decent overall, but lacking WiFi and the TV was pretty much useless.

The host was really friendly and quick to reply, which we appreciated. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a highlight. Definitely coming back again, great value for money! We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and it was quite lovely. Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into converting this historic building and their warm welcome made us feel right at home-plus Bonnie was adorable! The place has everything you need for a chilled-out stay. It’s situated in a great spot in Essex, perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into history and pretty scenery!

We had a lovely stay! The lodge was spotless and really roomy. The full-size fridge freezer was a lifesaver. Poppy loved the outdoor decking and the double bed was super comfy. Highly recommend!

Fantastic lodge in even better surroundings, it was honestly more than we expected. Park is nice and quiet even with plenty people there, value for money in the cafe/bar in the shop where normally you’d expect to be over charged on site. Staff are fantastic and very attentive. Will definitely return.

If your looking for a secluded get away then this is it. Amazing forestry around, close to clumber national park. Quiet location and absolutely serene and beautiful. The lodge was clean and tidy, perfect for a family of 4. Will be retuning Thank you

Found Clumber Park Lodges by chance, on a last minute deal, and we could not have been happier! the site is new, modern and well maintained. The lodges are clean, large and well equipped and the staff are very welcoming and helpful throughout the whole stay. The fact that the entire site is dog friendly everywhere is great and the surrounding areas are beautiful. We will definitely be going back!
