Location was fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful, however when I arrived my caravan (silver value) was dirty. There were bits all over the floor, it had very clearly not been hoovered, and the couch was disgusting, stains and chocolate imbedded in the fabric. I asked at reception if someone could come by and hoover and do what they could about the couch, and can't fault the speed of the staff, they were on it very quickly. The couch could only be cleaned so much, the chocolate was removed but the main stain (please note this couch was dirty all over, years of dark marks) was still there. I didn't feel comfy sitting on it so I placed the spare duvet on the couch for the entire week.Sadly over my week's stay I noticed more and more dirt and marks and questionable smears everywhere in the caravan. I don't think anything had been properly cleaned in a long time; dirty, smeared curtains, something brown smeared on the bathroom window, the bathroom radiator was leaking, and there were dried liquid marks on the doors. Also the shower door was falling apart, the rubber seal came completely off on our last day (it was half hanging off when I arrived).I was very disappointed with the caravan, but the town of Combe Martin was stunning.

Great caravan. Minor issue - had to move the dining table to use. Frustrating issue - no wi-fi or phone signal.

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel super welcome from the start, which was lovely. The place was spotless, comfy and safe for Archie, which was a big plus. The location was perfect, with loads of nice walks nearby and charming villages like Thaxted to explore. Honestly, we left feeling really refreshed and relaxed - it was just what we needed. Will definitely come back!

We loved this cosy little cottage! It’s nicely tucked away, so it feels secluded, but you’re still close to shops and local spots. The hot tub and underfloor heating in the bathroom? Absolutely brilliant! Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to return soon!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely friendly and really go out of their way to help, which made us feel very welcome. The place itself is beautifully maintained - cosy yet practical, with a fantastic shower and a comfy bed. Parking right outside is a real bonus and the house is spotlessly clean. We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of pretty half-timbered houses and a windmill. Definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are such nice people, making us feel really welcome. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy after long walks, which are plentiful around the area. The garden is perfect - dog-proof, secluded and with comfy furniture. We enjoyed meals at The Star and The Maypole in Thaxted; both were great. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed at this lovely little spot and honestly, it’s one of the best dog-friendly places we've found. The caravan was cosy, clean and quite well-kept, although we did have to make our own beds and bring towels - not a major issue but worth noting. The grounds are spotless and maintained beautifully. Our dog loved the nearby walks, which stretch for miles through stunning scenery. The staff were super friendly and helpful - we really wished we could have stayed longer!

One of the best dog friendly places we’ve had the pleasure to stay.Small but cozy caravan clean and tidy , had to make our own beds up and no towels slightly disappointed but not a big problem ,just enough room for the two of us plus our dog, well maintained grounds on caravan site clean and well maintained. Dog walks very close by that goes for miles ,so enjoyable and amazing scenery. The staff very helpful and friendly, I wish we stayed longer

We really appreciated how Rob and Sharon put so much care into restoring the old building, it’s clear they’ve put their heart into it. From the warm welcome we received from them and Bonnie to the cosy, peaceful atmosphere, it was just what we needed. The spot is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering through charming villages like Thaxted with all its rich history. Definitely recommend for a laid-back getaway!

Staff are friendly and helpful, Accommodation was good and large for all 12 of us. Had a few issues but staff sorted out fast. Enjoyed location but you need to be fit if taking a walk as very steep hills.
Had a fab time....

I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing site when I went. Dogs allowed in some caravans. Site overlooks the sea, dogs allowed on Newberry beach. I would stay at this site again. It is a steep walk back to caravans, good exercise for legs!

Great break away from day to day life, friendly area however most things are driving distance so a car is a must. But only dislike was the pool timing considering it opened late it also closed at 5. Overall we've already rebook.

Lovely staff so kind, happy and helpful. Food was lovely and location was outstanding ??

Loved it...but the radiator in our bathroom was dirty..lights dusty.....there should be something in place regarding parking places....ours was outside the caravan and we would come back...even from short trips to find someone else parked there. So so so pleased we were able to take our small dog...there was a handy dog walk through the trees right besides the park....overall we loved it.

Beautiful surroundings and very nice pool. Pub restaurant overlooks cove.
