We had a really lovely weekend overall. Usually, we'd say it's worth a solid 10 for value, but the check-in and check-out times slightly cut into our plans, mainly because of all the extra cleaning at the moment. Still, we totally get it. It’s just a shame we didn’t get as much time as we hoped, but we’ll definitely come back! :)

The accommodation was lovely and clean, but the hot tub was a bit grimy. Decking needs a good scrub.

The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for Archie - he loved the secure garden. The location was spot on; plenty of walks nearby and exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages was a real treat. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, which was just what we needed.

We had a really nice few days overall. We decided to head home a day early because of the terrible weather and trying to keep the dog clean after walks was a bit of a hassle. Nothing to do with the lodge, just Mother Nature messing about.

The owners really know what they’re doing. We had such a relaxing stay and will definitely tell our friends about it!

We had a great winter getaway with friends at this modern lodge. The hot tub was perfect, especially with the cover. Two comfy double bedrooms, one with en-suite and a spacious main bathroom. Definitely a lovely spot for a short break!

We were pleasantly surprised when we got upgraded to Hawthorn Lodge. The photos on the website hadn't been updated, so we didn't expect it to look so lovely. It really exceeded our expectations and we had a great stay!

We loved staying at this lodge! It’s super cosy, really clean and the hot tub was just perfect. When we arrived, the roof above it was broken, but the staff sorted it out quickly-really helpful. The WiFi went down for a couple of days, but overall, we’d definitely come back again!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The owners were genuinely warm and helpful, making us feel right at home. The place itself is so charming, with its traditional half-timbered look and a lovely strong shower after a long day out. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed were perfect. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus, plus it’s easy to explore the lovely walks around Thaxted. Overall, a great find!

Lovely lodge and park, the village is well located only a short car ride from Beverly and the lovely village of Cottingham. Loved the lodge and hot tub but needs a little TLC. Definitely recommend to anyone, also dog friendly which was great for us.?

Very nice Lodge (Oak) and site. Site easy to find and not to big so nice and peaceful and not crowded or overlooked. Hot tub very good and enclosed decking is good if you have a dog. Lodge well furnished with most equipment that is needed for self catering, although could do with a teapot and couple of smaller sharp knives for prep work

We had an amazing break at our lodge it was beautiful and homley ,lovely lodge park and plenty to see and do , outside furniture and hot tub was amazing. We wil definitely revisit!

Croft was a very pleasant to spend a few days. The gardens were well looked after, the Lodges very clean and it was very quiet.
