We loved Helas House! It felt super cosy and welcoming, really spotless, with all the essentials plus some fun books and games. We had a chilled few days and will happily return. Highly recommend!

The lamp’s switch is a bit too high, making it tricky to turn on without getting out of bed.

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The place is modern, spacious and spotlessly clean - super comfy too. WiFi was a plus and the little extras made everything easier. Perfectly peaceful with a short drive to the lakes. The only thing was, it’s a bit tucked away, but that’s on us. Still, a great find!

The cabin was pretty decent, with everything we needed and some lovely views to enjoy. The only thing was the train track nearby-got a bit noisy when trains passed, but it wasn’t too bad overall!

It was okay overall, but a few small things were missing and it could do with some extra care. The cleaning was a bit lacking-found a dusty plastic cup under the bed that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages. Not quite what we expected.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge; it was nicely decorated and spotless. The beds were super comfy, making it a cosy retreat. One thing that could improve is the lighting on the park’s main road-without any, it felt a bit risky, especially with the steep slope. We ended up driving my parents back and forth because of safety concerns. Still, overall, a lovely place!

The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. We’ll definitely return-great value all round!

The location was spot on, with lots of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are just gorgeous. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged and relaxed - it was just what we needed!

We spent a week here in July with our two mini daschunds and honestly, it was a lovely stay. The village of Thaxted is charming and our dogs loved making new friends around town. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a definite highlight, especially with the crazy heatwave-cooler water made it so much more enjoyable. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Watching the planes land near Stansted added to the fun and it was great to see the owners taking their dogs to the fields daily. Would definitely recommend!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this cosy cottage and honestly, it was lovely. The owners are really friendly and helpful but never intrusive, which was perfect. Our dog loved the big fenced garden-great for peace of mind. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and the hot tub was fantastic! We even fired up the BBQ one evening. Definitely planning to come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a great break!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us cosy despite the rainy December weather. The bath was lovely and the shower was perfect after a long day. Being near a flight path didn’t bother us at all, honestly. Great spot if you’ve got dogs that hate fireworks - so peaceful and in the middle of nowhere. Thanks so much!
