We loved this lodge! The hot tub was a real treat, spacious and perfect after a day out. The fire added such a cosy vibe. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!

Honestly, we were a bit disappointed with the whole experience. Booking a lodge feels like a gamble because you never quite know what you'll get once you arrive. It just didn’t feel worth the price we paid this time.

The lodge looked fantastic, really spacious and cosy. We loved the whole stay and the bathtub was a real treat!

We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it was just what we needed. Despite some reviews calling it a bit worn, we found it spotlessly clean, cosy and secure. With the snowy, wet weather, not having a pristine hotel was actually a relief - no stress about messes. Our dog loved it too. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The hot tub was spotless and well-maintained, which was great. The place itself felt warm, cosy and spacious with lovely views. Would be perfect if the kitchen had better utensils and a newer oven. Still, we really enjoyed our stay here!

We had a lovely stay! The hot tub was perfect and private, especially in winter. Beds were super comfy and the place was well stocked with everything needed for cooking. Just a bit unclear on whether we should bring our own soap or washing stuff, but overall a great experience.

We stayed at a lovely, spotless lodge that felt perfect for our family of four and our dog. The space was great and the hot tub was a real treat - always clean and checked daily. The TV was a bit on the small side and looked a little dated, but it did the job. The only minor annoyance was the bed sheets and mattress protector, which kept slipping off during the night, but overall, it was a lovely stay!

Would’ve appreciated more utensils in the kitchen setup.

We had a lovely stay! The place was really spacious and spotless, which was great with the kids. The dishwasher came in super handy and the water pressure in the showers was spot on. Only small downsides-those bright outdoor lights kept shining all night, sometimes waking the little ones. The en suite had a slight smell, maybe from the drain, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our trip. We liked it so much we’ve already re-booked for next time!

Honestly, we didn’t notice the mattress protector was stained until after we’d left, as the bed was made. The main bedroom had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, which isn’t great. We also had to turn the radiators down because our daughter felt unwell with the heat and we ended up opening windows overnight. Not the best experience, really.

The lodge was really nice, super modern and spotless. They had everything we needed, like pans and washing stuff. The hot tub was clean and checked often, so no worries there. We’d stay again!

The grounds were beautifully maintained and gave off a really peaceful vibe. Our deluxe lodge with hot tub and sauna was perfect for unwinding. Very private spot too!

The lodge was tidy and clean, but the water pressure was dreadful, making showers impossible.

We really enjoyed our stay at Finlake again. The cosy woodland setting is perfect for families and it’s a lovely escape for everyone.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge, which was beautifully maintained and very modern. It was surprisingly spacious for four adults and two kids and super comfy. The only thing we noticed was the solar lights on the stairs weren’t working, making it quite dark in the evenings and a bit risky.

We stayed at this place mainly because of its fantastic location, perfect for day trips and exploring the stunning countryside. Honestly, it’s a great spot if you want to be out and about. But when it comes to the resort itself, we were a bit let down. Everything seems to cost extra, which was frustrating, especially since we couldn’t find out what was available or book anything until after we’d paid - feels a bit sneaky if you ask us. The pools were often closed and the main bar area was also shut quite a lot. No activities either, which was disappointing. Check-in at 4pm is a bit late and check-out at 10am seems a tad harsh, especially when cleaners didn’t arrive till noon. If you’re after somewhere to spend a lot and not really know where it’s going, then this might be your place. Otherwise, there are plenty of other resorts with more charm and fewer hidden costs.

We have lovely holiday there?

We have been 3 times before, this being our 4th ! As always , it was amazing! The park , the accommodation , the surroundings, the people and all the amenities, makes this one special place . Thanks Finlake yet again we have made special memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Lovely place to visit mist also add the staff we came across were very helpful, the house keeping staff were so efficient our mop was broken and within 15 minutes of me phoning them we had a new mop

Our holiday was great. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the activities staff were super engaging and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as we were. The only negatives I would mention (and they are minor), there weren’t many paths along the roads of the site so although walking on the grass and moving out the way of cars wasn’t a problem for us, those with younger children, buggies or wheelchairs may not find this acceptable. The walk to the stables being an example. The only other downside was the lack of evening entertainment or things for teens to do once the paid activities were over and the swimming pools had closed. There were 2 pool tables in the bar but that was it so if you haven’t come prepared with anything to do and aren’t planning on spending the evening off site there is very little for them to do. Other than that we had a fabulous week and will definitely be returning for a cheeky adults only weekend.

A lovely stay - lodges perfectly kitted out. Kids loved the pools and exploring - such a large yet quiet site. Super Staff helpful, calm and over the top with politeness. The only suggestion I would make is for a flat reasonable space for playing football which stays open while it is light say 9pm for older kids or teenagers.

Finlake never disappoints. Not been since all the new spa/pool etc added. Still lovely setting and with private lodges. The food at The Hub & The Retreat was faultless! Great to have eat in or takeaway options! Shop was well stocked (and even a huge variety of gins to choose from! The only downside was that our lodge was very basic and not cleaned particularly well before we arrived. Could have done with some selves in the bathrooms to keep all our toiletries on. Hot tub was not in good working order either. Lovely & warm but jets didn’t work. Overall, we’d definitely be back!
