The lodge was absolutely incredible. Plus points - -Incredible views.-Hot tub and sauna under cover so even when rubbish weather we still got to enjoy.- lots of space and storage - all basic things provided ie hoover, big fridge, nice clean cooker and hob and basic pots and pans. ( if you do a lot of home cooking maybe take a extra pan as only one there) - lots of windows for good air flow- easy to clean floors in kitchen for any messes. Only downsides were - the bed and sofa were a bit dated so not such a comfortable sleeping / lounging experience - the key pass on our phones didn’t work so we had to go to reception to get a physical key card but staff were incredibly helpful and let us in to drop our bags off and locked the door to make life as easy as possible however these things definitely didn’t ruin the holiday and we still were looking at return dates on day 2 because it was soooo lovely.

Lodge needs some TLC , door handles being held on by 1 screw, toilet flush loose, bathroom door unable to lock, sofa arm broken, plant decoration broken . Could be amazing with some care and attention.

Internal door handle of sauna is metal so gets hot - could cause a burn.

This unit had many problems, it was very tired and had a lot of problems. It smelt, the sink and shower were blocked the shower screen leaked. The knives were filthy and one of the towels was very dirty.

Beautiful lodge, a little worn in places and missing upper balcony but adequate. Loved the hot tub.

Had a lovely weekend away,The lodge was clean and well kept, Could do with a little bit of a paint touch up, but we stayed in a pet friendly lodge so that’s to be expected

The lodge was dated inside but offered a good amount of space and room for a family. The furniture was well used but was fine for what we needed. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. Could do with more utensils and crockery in the kitchen, and umbrella on the decking was broken so we didn’t bother using. Hot tub was well maintained and clean despite missing the head rests. Decking was a great space for children.

Lodge was ok, not the cleanest and lacking basics eg hair dryer. Was quite worn out, some things broken and scuffed. Could do with a refurb.

Just very disappointing, however the staff were magnificent. The chalet was old, worn out and filthy in all areas. This was our fourth visit to this site, shower the trip will influence our future holidays in this area.

Spacious and spotless lodge. Had all the home comforts you are looking for. Plenty of privacy between lodges, and parking for each individual lodge too. Hot tub was ideal for during the recent heat wave.

Huge lodge and hot tub. Open plan living and dining area. Kitchen well equipped, dishwasher & washing machine. The master bedroom had lovely en-suite shower room, however would benefit from a kingside bed rather than a double, Also a larger tv in the bedroom. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Nothing superior about it. Considering it was “out of season” and the resort was no where near full, they put us as far away from everything as they could - I was 8 months pregnant so this was not ideal. The outside decking area was filthy, cobwebs everywhere and weeds growing through the decking. The outdoor furniture was cheap and nasty. Inside clean enough and had what was needed.

Just what we wanted, a nice relaxing break. The lodge was away from the facilities and any noise, perfect location for us. The hot tub on the decking was lovely .No complaints just 2 suggestionsCould do with a mop as the floor gets slippery when you come in from the hot tub Also if staying 7 nights like we did the towels could be changed mid week as you are using them for the hot tub and shower We will definitely be back

We have been here a few times now and love it. Only bad point would be the lodge wasnt very clean specially when bringing a baby. I understand the lodge was a dog friendly one but would still expect it to be clean and not have dog hair everywhere. We did have to request more cutlery which was delivered.

As stated before caravan was really basic, hot tub was old but worked fine. Would consider finlake again but not this type of accommodation.
Helen
Great site so clean and well maintained. Great facilities especially the swimming pools. Good location for days out to the coast and dartmoor. Lovely surroundings for walks with the dog. Would definitely return.

We have lovely holiday there?
James
We have been 3 times before, this being our 4th ! As always , it was amazing! The park , the accommodation , the surroundings, the people and all the amenities, makes this one special place . Thanks Finlake yet again we have made special memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Sarah
Excellent holiday. Would highly recommend this site.
Thomas
Lovely place to visit mist also add the staff we came across were very helpful, the house keeping staff were so efficient our mop was broken and within 15 minutes of me phoning them we had a new mop
Lauren
Our holiday was great. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the activities staff were super engaging and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as we were. The only negatives I would mention (and they are minor), there weren’t many paths along the roads of the site so although walking on the grass and moving out the way of cars wasn’t a problem for us, those with younger children, buggies or wheelchairs may not find this acceptable. The walk to the stables being an example. The only other downside was the lack of evening entertainment or things for teens to do once the paid activities were over and the swimming pools had closed. There were 2 pool tables in the bar but that was it so if you haven’t come prepared with anything to do and aren’t planning on spending the evening off site there is very little for them to do. Other than that we had a fabulous week and will definitely be returning for a cheeky adults only weekend.
Linda
A lovely stay - lodges perfectly kitted out. Kids loved the pools and exploring - such a large yet quiet site. Super Staff helpful, calm and over the top with politeness. The only suggestion I would make is for a flat reasonable space for playing football which stays open while it is light say 9pm for older kids or teenagers.
Deborah
Finlake never disappoints. Not been since all the new spa/pool etc added. Still lovely setting and with private lodges. The food at The Hub & The Retreat was faultless! Great to have eat in or takeaway options! Shop was well stocked (and even a huge variety of gins to choose from! The only downside was that our lodge was very basic and not cleaned particularly well before we arrived. Could have done with some selves in the bathrooms to keep all our toiletries on. Hot tub was not in good working order either. Lovely & warm but jets didn’t work. Overall, we’d definitely be back!
