Hendra holiday park is a first class park in Cornwall and makes a fantastic choice for couples and families.

You will find an array of things to do at Hendra Holiday Park.  The indoor fun pool is a real highlight - extra charges may apply.  Other options include the toddlers' pool, fantastic outdoor pool, table tennis, walking, cycling and surfing.  For family fun the Mini 10-pin bowling is always popular. For the little ones there is a soft play and also an outdoor adventure playgrounds.

When it's time to relax, head for the Family Club with entertainment. You won't have to travel far for delicious food either - with a bar and restaurant on site, as well as a takeaway.  Family favourites like pizza at the Pizzeria and fish & chips from the Fish and Chip Shop are just some of the dining options on the park.

If you like to get out and explore then you couldn't be in a more ideal location.  This area of Cornwall is stunning with plenty of family attractions on the doorstep.  Gorgeous beaches and quaint villages are just waiting to be explored. Some of our favourite days out within an easy drive from the park include Miniatura Park in Truro and the famous Eden Project in St Austell.  Both of these attractions offer a fun, educational and interesting day out for the whole family.

Accommodation at Hendra is a wide range of comfortable caravans which are really well equipped for self catering holidays.  The Wendron 2 is a superior caravan sleeping up to 6, with double glazing and central heating throughout.  The Wendron 3 is if a similar style but offers room to sleep 8.   If you're after more space and a stylish interior then we love the Poldark range.  These Premier Plus 12ft wide caravans are perfect for families and offer luxuries like flatscreen TV with DVD Player and well designed kitchen with fridge/freezer.

Our Top Tip
"The Eden Project in St Austell attracts millions of visitors and is less than 15 miles from Hendra Holiday Park."

Fun Days Out in North Cornwall

Newquay Zoo

A trip to the zoo is the highlight of many holidays and Newquay Zoo is a very impressive one. There are hundreds of animals to meet ranging from the cute and cuddly to the creepy and slimy. Children will love the animal encounters, penguin pool and Tarzan trail and there is also a play area. The site also has oriental and exotic lakeside gardens with picnic areas and a café and gift shop.

Holywell Bay Fun Park

This attraction is ideal for families with children of different ages. Older kids will love the climbing wall, Go Karts and laser shooting while the younger ones can run of some energy on the play area or enjoy a ride on the bumper boats. The site is also home to Cornwall's largest Pitch and Put and a huge maze.

The Monkey Sanctuary

This haven for monkeys is located in beautiful woodland affording views over the gorgeous Cornish coast. There are 4 breeds of monkey cared for at the sanctuary, which has been open since 1964. The whole family will enjoy meeting the cheeky monkeys and the educational talks offer visitors the chance to learn about their natural habitat and the dangers they face in the wild. There is also a gift shop, café and picnic area.

Paradise Park

Paradise Park first opened back in 1973 as a tropical bird garden and has since expanded to offer refuge to many different species of animal. The park aims to provide a fun and educational experience to its visitors and has daily talks and events to offer a more hands on approach. Playful otters, rare Cornish Chough, shy Red Pandas, and the beautiful native Red Squirrels can all be seen. There is also a fun farm area where younger children can get creative with crafting sessions during school holidays. The recent addition of the indoor Jungle Barn makes Paradise Park an excellent all weather attraction.

Flambards Experience Cornwall

This amazing family day out has it all.  From thrilling rides for kids and adults alike, as well as award winning gardens to stroll around this is one experience not to be missed.  Some of the highlights include the Wildlife Experience Animal Show and the undercover re-creation of a World War II blitzed street.  Open most of the year this is an all weather choice with plenty of indoor options for rainy days. You will find the Flambards Experience in Helston Cornwall.

Dairyland Farm World

We have selected this attraction as one of our favourites in the Cornwall region as it appeals to children of all ages.  You can really get a hands on experience at this farm with the opportunity to stroke, feed, cuddle and learn about the animals.  Located in Newquay in Cornwall this Farm is easily accessible and well worth a visit.

The Eden Project

The Eden Project is a must visit attraction while in Cornwall offering a unique and educational as well as fun experience. While exploring this greenhouse - the largest in the world, visitors will take in some amazing sights and sounds as well as smells of the jungle. The green house has areas dedicated to Malaysia, West Africa and South America. There is also a magical Warm Temperate Biome housing plants from the Mediterranean, South Africa and California. As well as the exotic and the strange visitors also get the chance to learn about the plants and trees we see every day in the UK.  Throughout the year activities are also available onsite and this year they have included an exhilarating 450m zip wire ride! For younger children there is an adventure play area with wooden ship and sand pit to enjoy.

Trethorne Leisure Park

Trethrone Leisure Park in Cornwall is a popular choice for a family day out and offers an excellent programme of activities for children all year round. The park has a farm area where younger kids will love feeding the lambs and other friendly animals. Pony rides, a large play area, ball pool; trampolines and crazy golf are also available.

Lost Gardens of Heligan

The amazing Lost Gardens of Heligan are one of Cornwall's most popular attractions and offers arrange of activities for adults and children. Besides the beauty and unique atmosphere of the gardens there are also organised events to enjoy throughout the year including a Harvest Display, Wild Food Walks, Halloween and Christmas celebrations and Book Signings.

Hendra Holiday Park Reviews

Lindsey Davis, Surrey
Without a doubt this was one of the best holidays we have had as a family. There is just so much to do. This kids never once said they were bored and for our kids this is a big plus point. The caravan was really modern and quite big too, not at all what i was expecting for the price. A really good deal all in all.
the Watts family
The site was really quiet when we went probably as we chose to go during term time. A good choice for us cos we like peace and quiet. Lovely site. bet the outdoor pool is great in summer. Was too cold for us at end of September but the indoor pool made up for it. The area is really nice as well. A few things closed as out of season but we really enjoyed walks along the beach and shopping in Newquay. Would highly recommend the Redwood caravans if you can stretch to them. they seem brand new.

We are due back at Hendra in a couple of weeks and it will be our third time! It's a lovely, lovely site, caravans are spotless and we have never have any problems. Pools are great, entertainment is great for the kids, and every meal we have eaten there has been very nice. Big thumbs up from us!!!!

Loads to do for the kids on site.. lots to do outside the holiday park without having to travel too far. We took the kids to camel creek which was great.. it was term time so practically had the place to ourselves... bonus!... you also get your receipt stamped and can go back as often as you like for a week for free. The pizza place on sight was great... pizzas are very nice... we ate there around 3 times.

Just what we wanted perfect place for our 2 year old plus great location !
Leah
As a short break it was a lovely area and place to be. Very family friendly. We had good service. The park was quiet as it was still early season. Only downside I found was the chip shop only opening from 5pm and being rather expensive.
Diane
We had a fabulous week at Hendra. The weather wasn’t brilliant but we used the Oasis pool a few times and got out and about around the area. Newquay Zoo is well worth a visit. Will definitely go again!!
Lisa
Our family had an amazing holiday, very clean and lot of activities for the children. Caravan was very clean and had everything you need to make meals and use as a base to see Cornwall. Lots of facilities for the children to use, felt safe and relaxed while kids played. Just got home and kids want to book for next year already!!
K
Lovely clean park. Good facilities. Only problem was not knowing times chip shop and pizza shop close. Just says till late. Went at 21:55 and was closed. Lovely place though and 5 minute drive to town and beach. Caravan was immaculate and the deposit for key was returned promptly.
Shareeza
It was the best caravan park I ever went to.
Rachel
We had a lovely time, the caravan was clean and spacious, and the children loved it.
Clair
