We really enjoyed our stay in the chalet near Bodmin. The setting was lovely, with plenty of trees and birds that came to visit when we left some food outside. It felt like the place had been recently renovated because the carpet and furnishings looked new. The only thing to watch out for is that the roads around the camp are quite narrow, though we found the best route to take. Plus, being just under an hour from the coast made it a perfect spot for a quick getaway. Would definitely recommend it!

We stayed in this lovely house during a rainy December and it was perfect for us. The place is really well equipped and kept warm, which was a lifesaver. The bath was fantastic and the shower had plenty of space. Though it's near a flight path, it didn’t bother us at all. Ideal for dogs scared of fireworks, being in the middle of nowhere. Thanks so much!

Our first visit to this place and honestly, we were blown away. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, a peaceful retreat away from the chaos. We loved watching the birds and squirrels right from the picnic table-it’s such a calming spot. Perfect if you’re after a quiet break; there’s no noisy kids or loud bars around, which was exactly what we needed. The wifi worked well and was free, plus they’ve got smart TVs for a bit of entertainment. The shop onsite is handy with some lovely bits and bobs to browse. The grounds are beautifully kept, with lovely shrubs, flowers and trees everywhere. Location-wise, it’s great for exploring Cornwall. Just a heads up-drive slowly along the narrow lanes, they can feel a bit tricky! The owners are super friendly and helpful. Our chalet was well kitted out, comfy bed and spaced out nicely from others. We’d definitely recommend this place for anyone after peace and a lovely setting. We’ll be back!

We had such a lovely time at this peaceful little spot! The setting is truly picture-perfect, super quiet and feels totally secluded, which made it perfect for relaxing. Visiting outside the busy season meant it was even more tranquil, which we loved. The lodge itself was spot-on - everything seemed thought through, especially the kitchen, which had all we needed. Our kids had a blast too; there's a small playground and a woodl and walk nearby that our 3-year-old adored. The location's pretty handy as well - central Cornwall, so getting to either coast took less than an hour. The surrounding area is lovely, with plenty of hiking and riding options right on the doorstep. Big shoutout to the owners, who were really friendly and accommodating. A special thank you to Andrew too, who was quick to help when my daughter managed to lock herself in the lodge! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Date of stay: 12th October 2023
We had such a lovely stay at this little gem! The location is stunning and feels really private, perfect for escaping the hustle. The owners were super friendly and always there if we needed anything, but didn't intrude on our peace. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day. Only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. Took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our trip at all. Would definitely go back!
David
