Where's St Ives Holiday Village?
Mrs Fort
This was out first summer holiday in the UK as we usually go to Spain but I have to say this was juts as enjoyable. The kids loved it as there was so much for them to do and my husband and I enjoyed the woodland walks. Our Gold Chalet was big enough for the 4 of us and was spotlessly clean. The children have asked us to book again for next year.
Mr Blane
This site is perfect for familys. We have been to holiday parks all over UK and this is one of our favourites. The location is superb ner the beaches. Our children loved the indoor pool and kids club and the accommodation is clean and well maintained. The mini market onsite is quite good value too so we will take less with us next year.
Mr Reed
We decided not to have a holiday this year but at the last minute changed our minds and went to Cornwall. We booked St Ives online at the last minute and saved money on the normal prices from what I can see. Very good caravan park with top notch activities. Location perfect. The silver standard chalet we stayed in was clean and well equipped. We ate out a few times and also cooked in our chalet some nights. A great value holiday all in all. Also must mention the entertainment which we thought was great quality.

We decided on this camp for the location and accommodation, considered good.

Staff friendly and helpful.

Main clubhouse, pool and restaurant in dire need of redevelopment showing it's age.

The restaurant a clear favourite as the worst on site restaurant we have come across in over 20 years other holiday makers opinion similarly scathing.
Steve, Emsworth
Date of stay: 24th May 2019
Lodge was better than expected - beautiful condition.

Could have done with a thorough clean (ie not just the surfaces before we arrived)

Welcome pack was pretty useless!

Shame we didnt get afternoon sun on our lodge balcony area.

Had the best time. Great place for a family holiday including the family pet
Date of stay: 15th September 2018
You could happily live in one. 3 lovely spacious bedrooms, master bedroom had a walk in wardrobe and ensuite shower room. There was a separate family shower room for the other 2 bedrooms. No bath but even with a 15 month old in tow, we managed happily and she showered like the rest of us.
Lovely large, open plan living room / kitchen / diner. All the mod cons installed - fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave.

Only fault with the accommodation is that I would have preferred an allocated parking space just for our holiday home, as the area where we were supposed to park was quite often full.

Date of stay: 27th October 2017
The premier lodge was amazing - really well designed, new, very clean, very well appointed. Little terrace, all mod cons. Beware, no towels, so bring your own. We couldn't work out the instructions for the boiler and phoned the clubhouse - they sent someone immediately, he was charming, really helpful. Beautiful park, great situation near St Ives.
If you go and just use the premier lodge accomodation and enjoy St Ives - great.
However, the club house and pool were very dilapidated. In the pool peeling paint, looked quite dirty, lots of footprints from muddy shoes - a kind of conservatory roof so condensation dripping on you in the pool. Attendants very nice and put play things in the pool for children.
Evening entertainment was not good and the clubhouse was very old, like an old style bingo club with swirly carpet and smelling of smoke. The children's entertainment at 6 was ok, but very young entertainer, inexperienced - then it went on to bingo (!) and other evening entertainment. We never made it past the bingo where the room fell silent and people had bagsed massive areas for their families. Old style Pontins. Wrestling was on one night!
Staff all pleasant but reception staff clearly used to having to handle people heavily eg: wouldn't let us wander down and look at our lodge before 2 - dont mind but it's the way it's said. Equally, when asked for towels, a laugh and 'we've never supplied towels', it's just the tone.

We upgraded to a two bedroomed Platinum Lodge (number 30) before we arrived and boy are we glad we did! It was fantastic! Passing the lower quality accommodation it was well worth paying the extra as some of them looked really horrible! (We didn't manage to get one with a hot tub, but they looked fab and had opaque glass around them so were nice and private.)
The lodge was very clean (just a slightly smeary mirror) and modern. The living room area was large and very comfortable. We only expected one bathroom but were really pleased to have a lovely ensuite to the main bedroom. The showers had good water pressure and there was plenty of hot water.
The lodge had everything you could need - washing machine (which was a very pleasant surprise!), dishwasher and every utensil you could need. A large fridge freezer was very handy. There were six outdoor chairs on the outside balcony with a nice table. There was a clothes airer which was handy for the wet towels. Iron plus ironing board - everything you could need. The kitchen was very modern and spacious and there was an extending table and chairs.
There were books, games and dvds in the lodge for us to use.
Check in was easy and quick with very pleasant staff.
The shop, although quite expensive was adequate and sold a good variety of items.
The bus into St Ives or Penzance picked up directly from the camp which was really good as parking is almost impossible at peak season.
As a base it was superb. As well as the bus, there was a park and ride train station 2 minutes drive away.

No mobile coverage anywhere on site, and no wifi in the accommodation. The wifi in the entertainment area was so bad that we could not even load one page of Facebook, or do a Google search. I know it is nice to have a break from the internet but when you are on holiday there are lots of things you could do with looking up. You also cannot get onto websites to book activities elsewhere. An upgrade of wifi would be a big benefit for this holiday park as people expect it these days. It was very frustrating at times.

The pool - although adequate, had no changing area so you had to undress either in one of the two toilets or just strip off in front of everyone. The solution is to go in your swimming gear and just wrap a towel around you and then get changed back in the accommodation.

The entertainment - if you are bringing small children then it will be very good for you as the children's entertainment went on until about 10pm! After that there was an entertainer which was not too bad - if you want to wait until 10pm. Maybe because we had two teenagers with us we did not appreciate the entertainment and decided not to go back. (Note for gadget lovers - there are three x-boxes in the main entertainment area which were very popular with the kids!). Toilets in the main area were not nice at all!

All in all I would recommend this site as a base and the Platinum lodge accommodation . If you have young children the entertainment will be great for you, if not then don't expect much and go elsewhere on an evening.

Date of stay: 22nd July 2017
Lovely lodge, as we had a dog the location was not thought through and not suitable, we were the furthest from the woods and right next to the amenities etc including the car park with comings and goings all the time, no peace.
It would have been better if we had a choice as not all lodges were occupied.

Date of stay: 24th June 2017
The 3 bed platinum accommodation was luxury, clean, spacious and modern. En-suite in the master, a great shower and kitchen even a blue-tooth integrated speaker system. Brilliant value. Drive down from the North was tiresome but not the fault of Hoseasons. 3 pm check in as expected. We got value and luxury and would recommend paying for the platinum as an alternative to budget and then complaining!!!!

The accommodation could not be faulted. Perhaps access to a cordless vacuum on deposit would be good to keep the new carpets clean. Really surprised at the luxury fittings and design of this chalet. Fitted bedrooms, combi- boiler and a full size built-in fridge freezer made this a home from home.

Sandra, London
Date of stay: 29th August 2016
The place was modern, perfectly clean & comfortable. We stayed 5 adults and 1 todler and I would say that this is the max. Overall we really enjoyed the place.
One advice for future guests: take towels, bin bags(we ask at the reception to get one bag but they said that we can buy it if we need) , washing up liquid & sponge or dishwasher tablets, soap & all toiletries as there was non of those, so you'll have to buy it there anyway. But it's really well equipped, pots, pans, oven trays, crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, Knives set (not too sharp but better than nothing :) ) freezer, hoover, iron & iron board,
Regarding the breakfast pack I would not take again for 5 adults we got 1 loaf of bread, small tin of beans, 6 eggs, sausages wasn't great and this was only on arrival, we needed to buy breakfast staff for the rest of the stay. but in the pack there was also milk, tea, coffee, jam, butter which was good :)
Overall I would highly recommend this place, if I will go back to Cornwall I'm gonna hire same place again Home 21 :)

Did not know what to expect after reading the reviews, but we were very happy with the chalet. We thought the reviews of 4/10 were a disgrace and very misleading. we booked a holiday in a budget chalet, not a 5 star hotel, and we were impressed with the quality.

Paula, Horsham
Date of stay: 31st October 2015
Everything I would expect of this grade of accommodation, and some I didn't, like good reading lights. Well heated, including heated towel rail in bathroom, and plenty of hot water. Fixtures and furniture in need of replacing/upgrade in order to give better first impression, but all functional. Would be a squeeze if you had 6 people staying in the 2-bed silver, but with 4 adults/teenagers it was fine.
Robert, Teignmouth
Date of stay: 26th October 2015
We had an October deal and for the low price we paid were pleasantly surprised at how good the accommodation was. Chalets are far enough away from each other that we didn't worry about the neighbors when playing noisy family board games. I have a bad back and have to lay on the floor to do some stretching exercises - and couldn't help noticing how clean the area under the beds were. The chalet had obviously been cleaned thoroughly.

Only complaint was we had no hot water for a few hours until we found the immersion switch hidden in a bedroom wardrobe. Perhaps a note in the room about this or reception telling us on arrival would have been a help.

St Ives Holiday Village is in a wonderful location and we had a luxurious lodge which suited our needs. It was absolutely spotless and the hot tub was fab. Being so near to St Ives was an advantage. lovely week
Had a fantastic holiday and will be going again.
Booked into a Platinum Lodge and was spacious and extremely child friendly and very clean. Felt so comfortable as good as being at home. Deifinatly recommend booking a Platinum Lodge. Only downside is no free wifi in the Lodges and on the booking it said we had a oustside heated hot tub but no hot tubs! Lots to see around St Ives and other nearby towns. Lots of beaches all within 5-10 mins drive.
We had a lovely welcome when we arrived on march 2nd but we were unable to stay at the st ives holiday village due to burst pipes and the adverse winter conditions. The manager was very helpful in finding an alternative holiday home in neighboring Tolroy Manor and we were welcomed in a friendly way and was given a three bedroom acommodation for the duration of our holiday. My ratings below are for the Tolroy Manor.
