Visitor Reviews of Kenegie Manor

We thought this place was great value overall. The hot water and shower temperature did give us some trouble, but we’re quite sure they’d have sorted it if we had more time. No car, but public transport worked perfectly. There’s a footpath right across from the main gate leading into Penzance, so it was a nice little walk to the station and bus stop. Would recommend!

Great spot, super clean and well stocked. Easy to get around, loved the location.

We stayed in a lovely, cosy bungalow that felt really welcoming. It’s not massive, but perfect for a couple and we appreciated how warm it was. The only tiny gripe was the round dining table - it was awkward to get around, especially when seated. Also, the owners had rearranged the double room a bit, leaving just enough space (about 6 inches) between the bed and wardrobe, which made getting in and out a bit tricky. Still, apart from those little quirks, everything else was spot on and made for a relaxing stay. Definitely would come back!

The pool booking was a surprise, not mentioned when we booked. It was a bit of a letdown, really. Would’ve liked to know upfront about the extra steps.

We honestly enjoyed our stay here. The village is peaceful, well-kept and spotless. The house itself has a lovely, spacious living area and a functional kitchen, though some furniture feels a bit faded. We were a bit surprised there weren’t enough dishes for six people and no towels were provided, which we weren’t warned about. Bedding was comfy and super clean, just a shame the double bed was only 130cm wide instead of 140. The staff really made a difference - friendly, helpful and full of energy. Great value for money, we’d recommend it!

We stayed for a quick 2-3 day trip with our two lively 6-year-olds. The site isn’t packed with activities, but the bar and restaurant really stood out-great food and decent prices. Our Silver cottage had good amenities, though it could do with a bit of sprucing up; the carpet was a bit grubby and stained and the bed base looked a bit tatty. Still, the bed linen was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making our stay quite enjoyable overall!

Honestly, this place was a bit of a letdown. The shower was filthy, really gross. The oven also didn't work, which was frustrating. The toaster was just as dirty as everything else, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Overall, the whole bungalow was pretty grimy - not what we expected at all. Definitely need some serious cleaning and maintenance.

We stayed here recently and it’s got potential, no doubt! It’s pretty outdated though and a proper refurb would make all the difference. Small things like the iron pouring out water when tilted almost soaked our clothes, which was annoying. Also, when we arrived, none of the dishes were clean - we had to wash everything ourselves. The oven was even worse, with a tray still full of crumbs and grease. Despite these bits, the place was quite nice overall. Would consider returning after some upgrades!

Our holiday was quite average, honestly. The main issue was the restaurant, which was pretty much closed most of the time - no chef for six nights! When they did serve food, it was just pizza, so we had to either eat there or go elsewhere. That really spoiled the vibe because food is such a big part of relaxing holiday times. On the bright side, the staff were lovely and friendly, which was a plus.

We really enjoyed our stay and are planning to return next year. The staff were lovely, especially with our little boy, which made everything more relaxing. The place itself was great, though there was a bit of a mix-up because we booked a cottage but were given a house instead, which was a little disappointing. Also, Shana wasn’t the friendliest and the washing machine was a bit pricey to use. Still, overall, we’d recommend it!

We really enjoyed the venue overall. The hot water was a bit temperamental, so we boiled a kettle instead. The pans had a slight dust, probably because it was early in the season, so we washed them first.

Had a lovely stay, staff very helpful, accommodation was very clean and had everything you needed. Grounds well kept
Claire
Beautiful and peaceful location. Very tranquil. Would definitely come again with the children. Perfect for mine ages between 12-16

Stayed here for couple of days for a family wedding at Tremenheere Gardens. Didn't really use the facilities l, but the bungalow was clean and tidy, and fulfilled our needs. The site is well set out and very quiet. Proximity to Penzance a bonus, but like others have said you definitely need a car to make the most of the surrounding area.
Richard
Perfect base for our holiday. Lovely park with good amenities. We will always recommend to friends and family. Good comfortable accommodation.
David
Cheap and cheerful bungalow was a bit dated and tired but was ideal. Great grounds and great location would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a basic base to explore Cornwall from.
