Visitor Reviews of Kilminorth Cottages

Emma
Date of stay: 2nd March 2025
We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was spotless and spacious, which was great. The hot tub was perfect-warm and clean-and we loved unwinding in it after days of sightseeing. Definitely a lovely, relaxing break!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It’s super well equipped - everything we needed was there. A tiny suggestion: some small baskets for storing socks and underwear in the wardrobe would be handy. We get space is tight, but a couple of baskets would make unpacking so much easier. Overall, lovely place and would happily come back!

We stayed in a lovely cottage at a great off-season rate. Honestly, we’ll never go back to caravans. It’s the most dog-friendly place we’ve ever experienced, really impressive!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy cottage. It was spotless and well-maintained and the private hot tub was a real treat-used it every day! Being close to the pool was perfect. The only minor hiccup was the shower steam triggering the alarm a couple of times, but overall, great experience!

We had an amazing week away! There’s so much to explore, it really flew by quicker than we wanted. Can’t wait to return. Definitely recommend this holiday to anyone looking for a fun escape!

Date of stay: 27th July 2024
We just got back from a really lovely stay at Queens Park Cottage in Kilminorth and honestly, we’re already thinking about coming back. Becky greeted us when we arrived and couldn’t have been nicer, giving us a quick tour and making us feel right at home. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we needed - three bedrooms, two doubles and a single, plus a bathroom with a shower. The open-plan living space with the galley kitchen was perfect for relaxing after a day out. We loved the private hot tub overlooking the shared garden - such a treat! The place even has a handy tablet for info and updates from the team, which was useful. The grounds are stunning, with beautifully maintained landscaping and the outdoor heated pool was a real highlight - so clean and inviting. There’s plenty to do nearby too; we enjoyed the tennis courts and borrowing rackets was easy. The outdoor bar was a nice touch, even if it’s only open now and then and we had fun playing table tennis outside. Inside, there’s a laundry room with washers and dryers, plus a good selection of books, DVDs and games to keep everyone entertained. The location is great - less than ten minutes from Looe and Polperro, so plenty of sights and things to do. Just a heads up, the road leading to Kilminorth is quite narrow, so be prepared to reverse into passing spots. It’s a peaceful rural spot, so don’t expect much noise, which was perfect for us. Make sure you follow their directions because sat nav can be a bit off. We also caught the pasty and pint event in their outdoor marquee and it was fantastic - Sarah’s pasties from Looe, a nice pint on draft and Polperro Wreckers singing sea shanties. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The grounds were stunning and perfect for relaxing walks. The hot tub was great but would have loved some cover for rainy days. Also, a frying pan and a soap holder in the shower would be handy additions. Still, lovely overall!

Really enjoyed our stay here, perfect spot for us and the pup!

Date of stay: 25th February 2024
We stayed at the cottage recently and honestly, it was a mixed bag. The place was a bit cramped and we noticed a few things in need of fixing - nothing major, just small maintenance quirks. The bathroom was a bit awkward since it’s open to the bedroom, so privacy wasn’t great. We found the kitchen lacking pots and pans, which was odd given how well-equipped everything else was. On the bright side, the bed and sofa were really comfy and the heating and lighting made it cosy for winter. Not bad overall!
Jamie
Date of stay: 3rd January 2024
We stayed over New Year’s and honestly, it was great value for the price. The facilities were decent, though we couldn’t find an iron or ironing board, but honestly, it wasn’t a big deal-if we needed one, I’m sure the staff would’ve sorted it out. The location is about a 10-minute drive from Looe, which was fine. The staff, especially Becky and Jayne, were super friendly and sorted us taxis last minute on NYE. We all had a relaxed weekend and enjoyed the hot tub. Would definitely recommend and summer walks sound lovely too!

We loved our stay again! The cottage is charming, comfy and perfect for a getaway.
Emma
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! Everything was spotless and well thought out, which made us feel really comfortable. Jane and the team went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after - nothing was too much trouble. Looe is a cracking town, much calmer than Padstow but with all the essentials. We’re already planning to return and bring more friends next time. Absolutely loved it!
Alex
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We had a lovely stay at the cottage - it was super cosy, really clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The location is just breathtaking, perfect for a quick dog walk or relaxing with a drink outside. The grounds are gorgeous, ideal for wandering or chilling out. The pool was a bit chilly, thanks to the weather, but still a nice touch. Looe was a good walk through the woodl and, quite hilly but totally worth it! Plenty to do nearby, like Polperro or a boat trip to Fowey or Looe Isl and. We’d definitely recommend it to friends and family!
Emma

Date of stay: 25th April 2023
Honestly, I don’t even know where to start because we had such a lovely time. The cottages are beautifully kept and just have this warm, homely vibe that instantly makes you relax. The grounds are huge - perfect for walking the dogs, kids, or just some quiet time alone. The staff really stood out; super friendly and welcoming. They even went out of their way for our dog, which was so thoughtful. We got a knock on the door with a little dog care package - a feeding bowl, towel, poo bags, treats, dog soap and a collar tag with all the cottage info. The location is great too, just a quick 7-minute drive into Looe. And if you’re visiting, Martins bakery is a must - their bread is honestly the best. We’re already planning to come back next year!

Great stay, facilities were fantastic. It was our 1st away break with our dog and it was perfect! Would highly recommend and the team were super friendly and helpful too.
Bal
Beautiful location and facilities on site. Caters for a wide range of ages. Loved the fat there were tennis courts to play - an added bonus.
Gary
Its my first time at the cottage but my friends who i went with have been five times before and i can see why the place is stunning the staff are all happy and professional. The cottages are spacious clean homely and well equipped. The hot tub is cleaned twice a day and is amazing the views and grounds are stunning and kept to an extremely high standard . I cannot comment on the pool because i never used it but again looked great. I cannot fault this cottage at all and would definitely return.
Jane
The cottages are set in a stunning rural setting, with the only noise being the birds and sheep! The cottage itself was spotless when we arrived and had all the necessities we needed for our stay. An added bonus was the private hot tub which was a great way to unwind after a full day of exploring the Cornish countryside. We didn't take advantage of the outdoor pool due to the hot tub but it did look very inviting! Would definitely stay here again.
Kerry
We enjoyed our stay we wish we booked for longer we will definitely be coming back
William
Facilities were excellent. Will look to book again next time we are in the area.
Mandy
We had a wonderful mid-week break at Kilminorth cottages. The pool is perfect and the onsite bar (open on selected nights) was very welcome. Good walking nearby and lots to see within an easy car journey.
Adele
Fabulous place, great field for the dog too.
Katherine
Amazing hols lots to do and staff / facilities / accommodation amazing
Benjamin
Brilliant location and brilliant facilities. Almost undersold but the add on just how beautiful it is. Truly a special week, would 100% recommend to others.
Josie
We had the best time ever, and 100% will be returning! The staff were so helpful, and the amenities and surrounding area was spot on. There’s so many cottages to choose from! It was the perfect dog friendly holiday. ?
Renata
A beautiful cottage in a splendid setting. Gorgeous views from every room. Some areas of cleaning could be improved but generally very good. Didn’t see anyone at all - they tried to close the pool early for no apparent reason and the bar was sporadically open. Overall though I would go back there because the beauty of the surroundings is well worth the small Cornish lane down to it.
