Located in the heart of Cornwall and set on a stunning country estate, Hengar Manor occupies the grounds of a 35-acre country estate and is a great location from which to explore the delights of North Cornwall.

With the rolling hills of Bodmin Moor nearby and the popular seaside towns of Port Isaac and Padstow a short distance away, it is easy to see why it is such a popular choice for a Cornwall holiday.

The Park offers a wide variety of self-catering accommodation from modern caravans by the lake to lodges and bungalows – giving you a perfect base to enjoy your holiday in Cornwall.

On-park there is a wide range of activities including an indoor swimming pool and a newly refurbished clubhouse offering a restaurant and bar, or can laze the days away on one of the three coarse fishing lakes.

Further afield it is close to the many amazing highlights Cornwall has to offer.

The well-stocked fishing lakes are open year-round.

They vary in size and provide a perfect experience for beginners as well as offering more challenging conditions for the experienced angler (board license required).

Our holiday was adequate. Bad first impressions with the restaurant - waited over an hour for food, our first choices out of stock, no ketchup, meals were mediocre, no veg on the children’s meals. Meals were not worth what we paid for them. This poor show put us off going there again.Log cabin was a nice location, we were pleased to look out over the green space, although it was quite tired inside. The place sleeps six but we couldn’t fit six on the sofas, and one of the sofas was broken for most of our stay, (it was replaced on the last day). Bathroom was also tired and in need of a refurb. The mattress in the master bedroom was life expired and neither of us slept well on it. We even rotated the mattress, but really it needs replacing. Children’s play area didn’t have a lot in it, tennis courts need a refurb /resurface. Swimming pool was of a good standard, although not enough changing rooms to turf everyone out of the pool at the same time. We were shocked that WiFi was not included in the price, (I.e. over £1000!) WiFi would’ve been another £18 ish on top. A lot of things could’ve be improved upon, for not a lot of money /effort /time. We felt it seemed it wasn’t about the customer experience, it was about minimising staff and maximising how much they could make out of each customer.

We stayed in Villa number 3. It was not a great experience. Things like carpet torn up from the edge of one of the stairs, with an exposed staple poking through and my daughter scratching her foot on it. No decent coffee making facilities, a simple cafetiere would be useful for someone who hates instant coffee. The patio being overrun with yellow ants (a kettle full of hot water soon fixed that). The main thing though is the furniture within the villa was far below the standard I would expect for the price paid. The sofas are fake leather/vinyl, which is not good for a hot summer, they are also bending in the middle. All the beds creak with the slightest movement, the the outside table is virtually unusable if there is more that two of you, as the patio is too small to be able to get around the table safely. Most of the patio stones were lose, with no clear or safe steps up onto the patio.

The accommodation smelt musty and moldy, so much so we had to buy air freshener. There was mold in the shower, on the bathroom floor and around the bottom of the bathroom bin. One of the bedrooms had mold patches on the ceiling that had been painted over. The furniture was dirty and dated. One night the neighbours were playing very loud music and shouting until the early hours. A member of staff staying onsite knocked and asked them to quiet down and was told to not so politely go away. Security were called and dealt with them at around 1:30am. Then we had someone parking in our allocated parking space and had to park elsewhere. We asked to be moved and reception said they’d look into it and phone us, they never did. It’s a shame as the grounds and facilities are nice but the accommodation really let it down and would not stay here again.

Amazing villa. Beautiful location. Peaceful and everything you need for a self catering holiday. Bedrooms are nice and spacious. Loads of room for your clothes to go and suitcase or bags to be kept away until you leave. Kitchens have all you need in them. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Living room is clean and couches are comfy. Outside space of villa is a dream

Nice villa, well presented downstairs but all beds need renewing and the balcony needed cleaning.Although the villa was nice it wasn't the same as the pictures advertised so we were a little disappointed as it was smaller than we expected.

We had an excellent wk. Its lovely and quiet and relaxing. Surroundings are lovely and nothing feels rushed.accomodation was brilliant...very clean and well kept. Swimming pool was very good as was the golf pitch and putt. We didnt go fishing but walked and had a look at the lakes and it was so pretty. It's a shame they have got rid of the crazy golf nd I think the childrens play area could be improved as not a lot in there. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

Lovely site but accommodation a bit tired and shabby. Staff friendly and helpful especially Angela on reception who sorted out our booking when we arrived as we had added the weekend to our midweek booking with short notice and we had booked 2 different accommodations by mistake with 2 different companies. She sorted it out within 20 mins and we were able to stay in the same bungalow all week.
