Visitor Reviews of Atlantic Bays Holiday Park

Emma Carter
Date of stay: 14th March 2025
We booked a lodge with a hot tub, but it was double booked. Instead, we were offered a similar cabin without the hot tub. Honestly, what we got was more like a shack for the same price. Not impressed at all!

Honestly, our stay at Chalet 96 was a bit of a nightmare. It was so tiny, mouldy and the smell was terrible. The place was freezing, with broken tiles and a floor that looked like it was falling apart. We left after just fifteen minutes and got our money back. No way our kid was sleeping there!

Very practical and tidy

Everything we needed was there, no complaints at all. The place offers great value for money and we’d definitely return. Lovely beaches nearby and plenty of attractions to explore nearby too. Highly recommended!

Really pleased with the stay, loved the lodge’s condition.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy little cabin. It’s spacious enough for the family and the kitchen had everything we needed. The thoughtful extras like tea, sugar, oil and toiletries made it feel welcoming. Loved the beach supplies too!

Honestly, we expected a bit more comfort for four people, but the place was really cramped. The living room had just four seats lined up, which made it feel more like a waiting room than a cosy space to relax. The fridge was clean but looked pretty old, with yellow stains that didn’t exactly scream modern. The smell inside was quite musty, so we had to keep the windows open all the time, which wasn’t ideal. Also, there’s no proper path from the parking area to the chalet, so you end up walking over wet grass, which is a bit annoying. It’s tidy enough, but honestly, it’s in desperate need of a refresh-felt like stepping back into a 70s holiday camp. Not quite what we were hoping for!

Honestly, it was disappointing. Moths everywhere, fridge was filthy, mould in the bathroom and the shower was broken (though fixed later). Under the sofa was disgusting too.

The chalet was perfectly situated within the park, which we really appreciated. It had all the essentials we needed, though we did notice a used soap bar in the shower and some half-used hand wash bottles on the sink. So, it’s a solid good, not quite excellent!

Honestly, our stay was pretty disappointing. The place smelled musty and barely seemed cleaned before we arrived. The fridge wasn’t even on and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned out. The TV, radiator and toilet seat were all broken and despite telling staff, nothing was fixed. We also had trouble reaching anyone out of hours when the electricity kept tripping. There was no info about local places or even where the fuse box was-really frustrating!

We really enjoyed our stay! The beds were super comfy and everything was neatly prepared. Plenty of towels too. Only thing missing was a bathmat, which would’ve been handy for the shower. The TV, microwave, cooker and fridge all worked perfectly. Nice little touches!

Really loved how handy the location was for us. The lodge was spotless and comfy and ending the day in the hot tub watching the stars was just perfect. We’ll be back!

Great stay overall, just a few cleaning issues.

Date of stay: 18th February 2024
We found the cabin pretty cosy and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with a toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and oven/grill - perfect for our needs. The TV was a bit smaller than we're used to, but the signal was clear. The place was spotless, beds were freshly made and we appreciated the fresh towels. The electric shower did the job and the heating kept us warm enough, especially with our hot water bottles. Overall, a lovely little getaway!
