We loved the place-spotless, comfy and so well equipped. The hot tub was the cherry on top!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabins were spotless and roomy, with everything we could ask for. The hot tub was massive and the outdoor speakers and lighting created a great vibe. Nice touch with the champagne and basic supplies. The iPod dock and Xbox were a bonus, even if we didn’t use them all. Definitely recommending this place!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were super friendly but didn’t bother us at all, just there if we needed anything. The large, fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we could think of, including a great BBQ. The hot tub was brilliant! We’d definitely come back and already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotlessly clean and looked after well. No WiFi was actually a blessing for us, as it gave a proper chance to unwind without constant notifications. Shops are a bit of a trek, so no chance for takeaways without signal, but we managed fine. The bedrooms were comfy, bathrooms lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall, a great escape with only minor quirks!

We absolutely loved the lodge-such great facilities and the beds were incredibly comfy, we didn’t want to leave! The only downsides were the wet room’s drain fitting being a bit high and slow to drain, plus the water pressure in the main bath was a bit weak. Still, overall, a fantastic stay!

We stayed in this lodge and honestly, it’s really quite lovely. Plenty of space for just the two of us and the open plan layout makes it feel even bigger. The bedroom has good storage and a nice dressing area. The bathroom’s large, with a walk-in shower and the outside decking with chairs is perfect for relaxing. Overall, a great spot for a cosy getaway!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it’s a lovely spot. The decor is super modern and stylish and everything you might need is there. The living space is really spacious and comfy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated too, each with its own bathroom and the main one even has a dressing room - fancy! The location is peaceful, sitting beside a charming fishing lake with plenty of wildlife to watch, which made our mornings really nice. The lodges are spaced out well, so you don’t feel crowded. The covered jacuzzi was a lifesaver with all this unpredictable rain lately - we used it every day! Plus, there are loads of restaurants nearby and the Ellesmere Mere is perfect for a gentle walk. We’d definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay and managed to do everything we wanted, especially walking the dog and relaxing away from busy work. The hot tub was perfect after a long day. Communication before our arrival was super helpful, which made things easier. The only thing was, the site wasn’t very dog-friendly - our pup had to stay on a lead all the time, even in the garden. It’d be nice if they offered a little alternative for dogs to relax on.

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and well-stocked, making everything easy. The dog walks right outside were perfect for our little ones and the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, were a hit. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Overall, we had a decent stay. The TV picture wasn’t the best and the parasol was missing outside, plus the gate was broken, so ducks wandered onto our veranda. Still, not too bad!

We had a really lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert are such welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home from the start. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - he felt safe and secure. The location was great, with plenty of walks nearby and charming villages like Thaxted to explore. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed, which was just what we needed!

We had a really lovely stay at The Queen's Lodge. The cabin was spotless and super comfy, perfect for unwinding. The outdoor area and hot tub were definitely highlights - so well kept and the roof over the tub was a lifesaver in the rain. We’d definitely come back for another break!

We stayed in the Sandringham Lodge 2 adults 2 children, lodge was beautiful can not fault lovely additional welcome wine and chocolates, hot tub was amazing loved that it was also covered so it didn't matter when it was raining (which it did quite alot) Surrounding lodges also looked lovely and the ducks were very cute. Area is lovely however not much to do when the weather is not the best buy wouldn't put me off returning. Nice pubs, a couple of supermarkets, and parks all within driving range also a few good public swimming baths within about 20 min drive Overall would recommend

Property is stunning, beautiful little touches on arrival, home from home for the week. Tesco is local but so try and shop local within the local town. Staff were friendly and helpful and a positive addition to the location. Only feedback is the high ceilings had cobwebs (it’s in the woods so expected) and the check in and out times were not ideal but appreciate the time it takes to clean and maintain the cleaning standards.

Beautiful surroundings was lovely waking up to the view of the water and the ducks. Cabin was lovely inside clean and had everything we needed including a bottle of fizz, chocolates and jams left in the fridge would definitely stay again.

Gadlas Park is a hidden gem. Very quiet country location with just lodges on site, it is the perfect spot for relaxation. The lodge was beautiful with lovely finishings and was extremely clean. The welcome pack was a nice touch. Would recommend.

Lovely cabin really quiet and in a great location, really clean and spacious and the hot tub is great the kids loved it, had most things we needed in the cabin for the week

Wow wow wow was amazing I’ve been to many places this was clean( wife is a cleaner) and she was amazed shame We couldn’t stay longer but really loved the peace and quiet the lodge itself was top of the crop xxx

Excellent lodge, clean in a secluded plot. Located in an advantageous position to enable touring Staff very helpful.
