We had such a lovely stay! The house was really well kitted out and super cosy, which was perfect for the rainy December weather. The bath was fantastic and the shower was nice and spacious. Being on a flight path didn’t bother us at all, so don’t worry about that. Perfect spot for dogs that hate fireworks - totally remote and peaceful. Thanks a lot!

Plus, the walks around Thaxted and nearby villages are just beautiful. We’d definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely spot. The setting is so peaceful and private, yet the owners are super friendly and always there if you need a hand. After a long day cycling, the hot tub was just what we needed! The only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of plane noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but if you’re sensitive to noise, it’s worth bearing in mind. Overall, a great little getaway!

The garden is perfect for dogs-completely enclosed and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. We’d definitely recommend it!
