The caravan was pretty dirty when we arrived, so we called reception. They responded swiftly and sorted it out to a good standard, which was great!

Layout was odd, caravan felt quite dark, wouldn’t call it luxury at all.

Could’ve used clearer instructions, honestly.

Really comfy overall, but a door blind would be great and darker bedroom blinds needed.

We really wish there were more cooking essentials available, like a better frying pan, pot and a grill tray. It’s a bit tricky when you’ve got a big fridge freezer and limited space. Still, the site and views are absolutely stunning, no doubt about it!

We booked a four-night off-peak stay in a two-bedroom caravan with decking and overall, it was a pretty decent experience. We arrived a bit earlier than the check-in time, so we let reception know, but the caravan wasn’t ready just yet. They were quick to get in touch once it was, which was helpful. When we checked in, they gave us a three-bedroom caravan with two toilets, a nice touch and a parking spot right next to the van. The place was spotless and quite roomy - the full-size fridge-freezer, microwave, hob, oven and propane central heating all worked well and made us feel comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, including the essentials like a corkscrew and can opener, which we appreciated. There was a tiny bottle of washing-up liquid, but they did provide a brand-new dishcloth and bin liner, so not a big deal. The beds were already made up and since there were only two of us, they thoughtfully prepared one of the singles along with the double - no assumptions about being a couple, which we liked. The shower was decent enough and the toilet was fine, although a little on the tight side - I’m only 5’1”, so no problem for me. It would’ve been nice to have some extra toilet rolls in there, as one was nearly half-used when we arrived and no extras were provided. Just a heads up: towels and tea towels aren’t included unless you pay for them, so bring your own if you need them. Weather at the start of our stay was pretty wet and the steps into the caravan led straight into a muddy patch that flooded, making it tricky to get in or out without getting muddy. It also spread mud inside, which was a bit disappointing. Seems like some other vans on-site already had paving slabs down, so maybe that’s something they’re planning to do? The mat inside the door was curling at the edges, which was a trip hazard, so that could do with fixing. Parking was right next to our caravan, which made unloading easy, but I’m not sure if all vans had designated spots - it’s probably a mix. We didn’t use the pool, restaurant, or entertainment, as we were after a quiet getaway and aren’t really into swimming or lively nights. The on-site Wi-Fi was pretty steep at £7.99 a day - way too much - so we just used our mobile data, which was much cheaper with our unlimited plan at £15 a month. There’s free Wi-Fi in the clubhouse, but we didn’t bother trying it out. One thing to be aware of: the website claims the beach and train station are close by, but if your caravan is on the far side of the site near reception - which is where most of the non-residential vans are - it’s probably nearly a mile walk to the station, up and down the site. Give yourself about 20-30 minutes if you’re planning to catch a train. All in all, the site was clean and tidy and the caravan offered good value. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, which made our stay more enjoyable. If we’re in the area again, we’d definitely consider coming back!

A bit more lighting in the bedroom would make it warmer overall.

The caravan was spotless and the beds super comfy. Basic stuff but perfect as a no-hassle base for Devon.

The beds were pretty narrow, but I guess that’s just how caravans are designed. Still comfy!

The caravan was really comfy, spotless and well kitted out, plus the staff were super friendly and helpful. Only downside was the pool closing so early at 5pm, bit of a shame.

Our first night was a bit chilly since the fire wasn't working and the heating was off, but Martin, the maintenance guy, really saved the day. He was rushing to another job but stopped to take a look and fixed the fire with a new fitting. He also showed us how to use the heating properly, which was great. By the end of the day, everything was sorted and we were really happy. The rest of our stay was fantastic - we all had a lovely time and would definitely come back!

Staff were really helpful
Susan
A good base for a holiday incorporating bike, walking and train service. Didn't use the restaurant or swimming pool.
Charlotte
Reception staff lovely and helpful. Especially the blonde hair lady.

Absolutely loved it here, the staff as so very helpful and friendly. The caravans spotless, as are the clubhouse and pool. My only complaint is that the children's play area is not suitable for children under 4, my little boy who is two really wanted to play in ther ruby he couldn't as it was too dangerous. You really need a bit for the younger kids.

Very clean caravan, everything we needed. Unfortunately I was unwell all the time there, so didn't manage to enjoy everything is as we really should have. After visiting hospital I was told to go for a follow up at my local one the next day, so we left very early. I left a note for customer service,in the caravan, stating what happened and that we would love to come back soon. But there was no acknowledgement. Hopefully we can go back and enjoy it fully. The only negative, TV reception was bad. We don't go away to watch TV, but as I was ill...
Philip
Very good site, excellent facilities and great staff.
Linda
Stayed in the DV caravans and were well equipped but one oddity, there was no teapot, just about everything else but no teapot and we had two caravans and the other one had no pot either. We loved the Bluetooth connection from our phones to the caravan speaker system, a real nice touch and an easy way to stream your music. A very nice site and fully recommended and would have loved to stay for 7 days however with things the way they are today I was lucky to afford 3 nights. Some of the family used the swimming pool with no complaints but bit strange you have to book in advance, a roll over from the Covid days I suppose. We did not use the onsite restaurant so no word on this from us.
Terry
Good caravan , helpful staff ,pool good and heated indoors and out, kids loved it
Caron
Caravan was spacious and clean. Supermarket less than 5 mins away. Close to beach. Entertainment great for both adults and kids. Swimming pool is partly under cover and water is warm. All round a great place to chill out and also have fun with the activities including bingo if you choose. Great menu in club House and reasonably priced if you choose to eat out.
Michael
Great time,fair prices,and nice people.
