The caravan was quite disappointing. It smelled strongly of wet dog and wasn’t thoroughly cleaned in certain areas, which was a bit off-putting.

Overall, pretty happy with the service, just found the mattress a bit firm for us.

The caravan looked spotless and had a nice, modern vibe inside. Only thing was the fold-out bed - the mattress was quite thin, so we could feel the bars through it. Still, overall a good stay!

This place is smashing! Perfectly tucked away for some peace, but still handy for shops and stuff. The hot tub was a real treat and the bathroom with underfloor heating was just the luxury we needed. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were lovely hosts. Can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and spotlessly clean interiors. The shower is powerful and the cosy kitchen and lounge are perfect for relaxing. Parking right outside was a real bonus and we enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of characterful houses and a windmill. Would definitely recommend!

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon have clearly put a lot of effort into restoring this historic building and it shows. They made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived, along with Bonnie, of course. The place has everything you need for a comfy, relaxing break. The location is perfect too - a great spot to explore Thaxted and the charming villages nearby. Highly recommend!

The owners are genuinely lovely and very welcoming. When the storm caused a power cut, they went above and beyond to help. The cottage was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the secure yard and we enjoyed the hot tub too!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us cosy, especially on that rainy December day. The bath was perfect for relaxing and the shower was big enough to really enjoy. The location is ideal for dogs, especially if fireworks scare them, since it's pretty remote. The place is beautifully converted too. Thanks a lot for a lovely stay!

We had a fantastic weekend stay and really enjoyed our time here. The place was just what we needed and we’re already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating and the garden was perfect for them to run around. Luna’s tail was wagging so much she strained it-crazy pups! Great experience all round.

Very friendly staff and a spotless Gold Plus 2 Static Caravan. EV Pod Point on site.Perfect location for Devon and Cornwall. Bar and Shop are very handy. Bude 15 minutes drive away. Definitely go back to this site.

The location was beautiful, secluded and tranquil just what we needed, the caravan was clearly quite new so we were lucky. Fresh clean bed linen with beds made up on arrival, but my only comment regarding the beds alrhough they are super comfortable and roomy, it would be good to have a mattress protector in place, having a plastic top the sheets did not stay in place for long which was really annoying. My only other comment us the seating was quite uncomfortable after about 30 mins, a minor for some but for me it was a problem a bit like sitting in a Drs waiting room.Had it been a freestanding suite or sofas it would have made such a difference. Would I go back YES!! But with a different spec of caravan that had sofas.

What an absolutely wonderful place, quite and relaxing, kept amazingly clean and tidy. If you want loud music and entertainment don't come here this place is for relaxing and peacefulness.

Absolutely outstanding value for money, brand new caravan, lovely quiet site, rural surroundings with superb views, helpful, professional staff. Thank you for a great long weekend and we will definitely be returning.
