Spent a week in the smithy which was perfect for the two us of had everything we needed and was in a peaceful part of the grounds completely forgot we had neighbours while there

A quiet and relaxing holiday with added bonus of a hot tub.The location is good for visiting all major cities and attractions.You must do the canal walk as the country side is stunning.

Really enjoy staying in The Smithey and have booked to go back.

Stunning property great location

Outstanding!Our stay here at Henlle Hall was nothing short of amazing. The front of house staff at reception were welcoming, friendly and provided welcome drinks upon arrival. Bev was a superstar she provided us with amazing hospitality and gave us great recommendations for places to visit which were also dog friendly. The Indian food provided as the restaurant was absolutely delicious and found ourselves there every night! The grounds and accommodation were immaculately well kept and fully equipped with all kitchen utensils. The deer paddock and ponds were stunning with rabbits on the grounds which was lovely to see. I cannot recommend Henlle Hall highly enough. The location was ideal, both being intimate and secluded yet not being too far to explore the surrounding areas, especially the canal walk just a 5minute walk away. The hot tub was an added bonus and was the perfect relaxation after hiking Snowdon! Henlle Hall is certainly one for the books and were already looking into booking our next visit. Thank you all for your amazing hospitality!

Perfect retreat, quiet, peaceful, beautiful bird chime in the walled garden.Secluded hot tub visited by a Robin and a cheeky squirrel.Will throughly recommend.

Most enjoyable

Stayed in the Smithy. Spotlessly clean so a big shout out to the cleaning team. Left it as we found it. Spotless. Also a big shout out to the Groundsmen for the immaculate garden and surrounding woodlands. Excellent information folder and wine and chocolate on arrival. Hot tub was fabulous about a one minute walk away. Set privately in the trees. Henelle Robes and slippers or flip flops provided to use. Full large mod con kitchen, cooker microwave fridge freezer all the utensils. Large table and chairs. Beautiful Belfast sinkBBQ, outside seating area in the courtyard. Log burner inside or central heating. Didnt use the log burner as weather was warm but if you use it then you have to buy more wood yourself when the fire dies down Large living area with tv mounted on the wall. Smart tv so no dvd player. Wi-Fi good for tv but for phone it kept dropping out. Large comfortable bedroom and huge bed plenty of storage I have a few gripes. The first being the floor to ceiling windows. The other cottages are on the other sides of the courtyard so with no net curtains except in the bedroom other guests and children can see directly in which was abit awkward if you were sat there watching tv or the like. There are curtains to draw at night. Bathroom. Spacious shower over bath scorching hot water so beware. The second gripe was the extraction fan did not work in the bathroom. We arrived Monday. So Tuesday morning went to reception to report it not working as the steam from the bathroom was going to the bedroom. The lady on reception said someone would fix it that day. They never came out all week. Gripe 3 the extraction hood on the cooker also did not work. Apart from the light. So when cooking the smells filled the kitchen Gripe 4 towels not changed all week. So with the hot tub and showers baths daily etc the towels were consistently wet so hanging up everywhere to try and dry one for next use. Did not know there was a tumble dryer in the wash room opposite. Last gripe. When we checked in you are asked to wait in the restaurant till 4pm you cannot check in earlier. The lady gave us a voucher for 10% of breakfasts and lunches and advised if we called for a takeaway it could be delivered. One night we decided on a Take out. So rang over placed the order asked for delivery to be told we have to collect and pay on collection. So no deliveries. Food was great and location amazing. Loads of things to do nearby or within an hours drive. Will book again. Next time to try a lodge.

The Butlers quarters is a cosy cottage with lots of character. It does make the layout a little quirky and the stairs could be awkward for some with mobility issues but we had a lovely time there. The hot tub is just past where you park the car and in a secluded wooded area and we enjoyed several sessions in it.

Butlers Quarters was charming and unique. Clean as always at Henlle. We have stayed in a number of different accommodation on site and I might be honest this was our least favourite. However saying this we would stay here again and would recommend. We just struggled with the heat in the bedroom and the stairs.

Lovely accomodation, well equipped , couldnt turn the radiators up and was bit chilly in the evenings there is a log burner but didnt want to start that up . the bedrooms nicely furnished and comfy beds

We stayed in the stables and loved how unique the place was. It was spotless and had everything we needed for a short break. We had a fantastic time! The location is ideal for exploring Wales and Shrewsbury, but its also a great spot to just relax for a few days. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Beds were super comfy and the hot tub was spot on. The cosy lounge with the log fire made it even better. Well be back for sure!

Honestly, we loved this place! Its our first time, but definitely not the last. The cottage was gorgeous and super clean, with everything you could need. The on-site restaurant was a real bonus if you fancy a break from cooking amidst such stunning gardens. Highly recommend!

I would give it 6 out of 5 for all categories! My first visit but it definitely wont be my last. Beautiful cottage, spotless and everything you need for self catering. Excellent on site restaurant if you dont want to cook, all set in stunning grounds.

Really enjoyed our stay in the coach house! The place was immaculate, surroundings were beautiful and hot tub just a very short walk across the courtyard.
The courtyard is shared, but overall a very pretty place and so peaceful.

Have been staying here since 2015. Home away from home and treated like family. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in this part of the UK.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Henlle Hall in the coach house. Beautiful cottage, with so many thoughtful touches.
Thank you so much for providing a peaceful, tranquil place. A truly hidden gem. Looking forward to a second visit will be back next year. See you soon

A perfect retreat. Staff are incredible

This was our second visit to Henlle Hall cottages. The cottages are very clean and comfortable with good amenities. The site is peaceful and the surrounding woodland and gardens are beautiful. We love it there hence the second visit and I'm sure we will return again.

Second visit to Henlle Hall Cottages, perfect for a relaxing break. The restaurant staff are outstanding, excellent service the best I’ve experienced in this country!! Curtis went above and beyond with my food allergies, unfortunately I wasn’t well on our last night so missed out on a wonderful meal he had prepared for me, sorry about that. Will be coming back in the Autumn, see you then?
Recommend the Iron Works for a visit, lovely for browsing and a great coffee shop/ cafe.

Went here for a long weekend and loved this place, ducks, geese, deer's and fantastic setting. Cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The biggest plus however ere the staff upon checking in, they were so polite and helpful to the waiters and waitresses who couldn't have been better. Children loved the woods, ducks and seers too so everyone happy :)

A wonderful long weekend at Henlle Hall. Brilliantly comfortable accommodation with a cottage-feel. Enjoyed stoking the log fire , and soaking in the hot tub after a long walk along the nearby Shropshire Union canal. Perfect getaway

Amazing place, spend a very relaxed weekend in beautiful surroundings enjoying our cottage accommodation with hot tub! We even had robes for our two daughters age 7 and 5 which I thought was a lovely touch. Will definitely be booking to go again soon

Absolutely stunning place to stay, from the minute we got there we were made to feel welcome, exceptionally clean and everything and more that we could have wished for, looking at booking for next year but trying a lodge instead
